I agree with the Merlin assessment. There is nothing worth singing in Amethyst or Sapphire at the moment, and if you can't shift it then it doesn't do anything. Shift into Morph is 2 ink short of singing Under the Sea. I like that restriction in Lorcana, it is very clever. There are so many little knobs to tune and turn that makes the game very creative from the designer standpoint.
