My god, she was 68 at the time! Not only was the voice amazing but so was her artistry. She didn't just sing, she performed. That's the difference between a singer and an artist.

Did she break the mic with them heavenly vocals?
I know, that mic is the worst mic in the world. It did not pick up the colour in her voice at all.
The sound tech probably didn't realize who they were handing the mic to and weren't prepared for the power of her voice.
