- For the 2nd year of owning my car to the day. Good first car, maybe? It's my first car. Money pit? Most are. Fast? not really. Slept on? Absolutely.

Collectors sports sedan. Superior power, reliability, comfort, features. The sound of that 5 cylinder turbo is intoxicating
My daughter just bought a 2007 as her first car. We are only $2.5k into it so far. Every day is a new adventure with transient error messages. Good times!
I just picked up the identical car, same colour and interior for 1400canadian 148,000kms on it, it’s a time capsule, I’m super happy
damn good deal, how clean and how many issues?
“THis” nice voice crack at the start Xander 🤝 0:01
Yeah I was mocking Doug Demuro
@@ubikthecarguyvery nice
I bought my 04 S60 Rm for 1500. I did BC racing coilovers, ipd rear toe adjustment arms, and new tires for about 2k. It's been very reliable but it's still a fairly expensive car to own. My paint is trashed and it has a constant CEL for one thing or another but I still love owning it. Cheers from NM!🎉
Nice review! I am planning to buy one. Manual, 2004, 260k km. Greetings from Istanbul
i have same but normal not R with 2.4 engine, same colors and new rims it looks so great and never breaks down, it is a bit thirsty but considering its price and maintenance i realy cant complain
I got a 06 m66 T5. Its so fast on a roll it's crazy
freakin love those OEM mudflaps
these cars are such money pits. i still love mine tho. had to replace all the shocks/struts, timing belt, angle gear, pcv system, control arms, tie rods, and do a full brake job.
Ittl last another 400,000 miles now though
@@hi_how_are_ya_ it keeps breaking things 😭
Yaa with volvos you gotta find them taken care of if they been ragged on you'll have alot of problems
Volvos are money pits ...I have had a 2010 Volvo S 80 turbo 6 cyl.... for 2 years now with 110,000 miles ..And I haven't stopped fixing things .......2 oil leaks $800.....rear suspension $700 .. Lost the AWD system ...front struts and parts $1000... and I'm not done yet .....the car is cleaning out my bank account......this will be my last Volvo.... I should have bought a V 6. Impala with 300 hp....there is no way I would have spent that much on it.....
@@jimd2101 s80's are known for problems it's the 2.4t inline 5 cylinder that don't break same with a couple others
URS4 at the end!!
WOOO DRUNK DRIVING
cool video man, i’m trading my 02 silverado for a 06 s60r and honestly i’m excited. i love quirky and semi rare cars , i currently own a 15 hyundai equus so this s60r will fit right in
got my 2006 recently with 117k miles for $3850, one of the best cars ive driven
OW MAH GAWD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
got a NA s60 05. i love it still, cant imagine if i had a R version... so far my current worry is the aisin auto transmission : ' )
Good job sir.
I would recommend buying a cheap one and setting aside maybe $3k for maintenance. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT buy an AW-55 model though.
Great video!
You forgot to mention the PCV system!
I'll touch you one day! Mark my words
How would you feel if someone wanted to get either a 2.4L S60 non-r or a S60 Non-r AWD , and build on that, versus a S60r (be it 2.5 or even a 2.4L if it exists) ?
Very neat video, thanks for making it!
A lot of people build T5s and a lot of R owners actually swap in a T5 block. They are pretty good but it would take more work to make the same power as an R
I own a 06 s60 t5 the 2 4t is what the t5 models have they have thicker cylinder walls compared to the 2.5l you can make good power between 400 500hp on both 2.4l and 2.5l but more reliably on the t5 block hope this helps..iv also owned 05 s60 t5 and a 05 xc70c. I love volvos
Ipd now had their own innercooler
It’s the same design as the do88 pretty much, idk if one is better than the other but it seems general consensus is the do88 is better
where did you get this emblem with a moose for the front grill?
hello xander
I dont get how they are so cheap???? The cheapest one in Germany is like 15.000 euro and has run over 250k km with bad interieur.... like what? Some guy in the comments said he paid 2k for a good one???? Even the 2.5t Summun are like 8.000 euro here...
that R at 5:44 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I love bens R too 😂
do you want to sell it?
If you dont mind buying one of these cars and you dont mind spending $10,000 and fixing EVERYTHING on the car first then these are great cars ....You must have a lot of money to spend ......😅😅😅
Better of with an m66 T5 instead of an R ;)
If you’re shimmed or have a T5 block you have nothing to really worry about with an R, just regular maintenance
I got a m66 T5 but let's be honest, most people will never find one
@@ubikthecarguy"if you're shimmed" what does that mean?
@@GoodGains90 metal shims in between the cylinder walls and helps prevent cylinder walls cracking, lots of people use them because they’re cheaper than getting a new block or sleeves.
@@GoodGains90 I have one M66 T5 with only 62.000km love it 🔥
where was that at 6:28?
