Yes! This earthly delight is varascite! Although I have to say, this has so much more drama and contrast than varascite. All props to Mely D for sure, but you took her techniques and knowledge of fluid pour painting to another level, Sara. As I was watching you add the colors on top of your base coat and then tilting, it really struck me how much you know your paint. I would have been in a panic after the first half of your tilting. I really had no clue how this was going to turn out. I was amazed by watching you turn to those puddles of paint into a very organic masterpiece! The brush/finger work was spot on! You masterly softened hard lines, and created hard lines where it was needed. What was even more interesting to me was when you showed the painting in different orientations. Each way you showed it, it took on a whole different personality and flavor. Your client is going to have a hard time picking which orientation she likes the most. How exciting that your retreat is sold out! I'm so happy for you Sara! I have a feeling that when people see this beauty, you will be getting a lot of requests for commissions. How wonderful is it that your girls get to see their mom flourish and turn into a successful happy women! This was a great video. Cool! Seems like base colors disappear after putting so much quantity of puddle colors; so wonder if you could possibly conserve by doing a transparent base with the cheaper Base 3 house satin enamels to make surface puddles pearl? Txz! Jeanne

That’s a good question, I think basically what I’m doing is what you’re explaining. The basecoat has a lot of that bass three enamel in it.

I do sometimes, sometimes I use my puddle, paints, and other times I go straight out of the tube.
"Chrysoprase" more like your colours but perhaps you're going for the metaphysical properties suggested by your beautiful piece
