If any NatEx (or any other!) drivers can help out with alternative city centre routings please comment below. I'm always after alternatives/better routes etc!
(Nat Ex Driver) - When you were at Bordesley Circus, i normally take 2nd exit onto Coventry Road (before you looked at google), then stay in right hand lane passed the lights. At the lights you can go left also. Great videos, great driving.
Edit: The 707 service runs with shunt driver from Birmigham Coach Station To Coventry Pool Meadow, and another driver to carries on to Heathrow.
@NxtGme0 yes I was defo expecting to do that. Oh well! Thanks.
We're changing drivers at Queen Eleanor
Just finished watching, loved it! Would love to see more videos like this with the commentary 😀
@ukbusphotography Thanks so much. Commentary is difficult, it's much better done at the time but I don't think it's appropriate when I have pax on. I'll see what I can do!
@RideWithRobinVideos I prefer the commentary which is done when editing, but I appreciate it is probably very time consuming 😅
@ukbusphotography you know it! This vid took me ages 😆
@@RideWithRobinVideos it definitely shows. Was an excellent video
@@ukbusphotography thanks! That's appreciated
As a quote domestic driver I saw you in Northampton town by the way city lights don't bother us. Coaches use bus station from 7,pm until 6am from bay 14 in Northgate bus station. Be safe keep smiling we are all doing the same job so remember that wave and smile we are all pcv at the end of the day. Nice vlog see you one day soon
@markbaugh2106 hey Mark, ah right it's an overnight thing, I guess that makes sense Vic St is more exposed in the dark.
Yep, defo, loads of coach drivers have been service drivers me included, seems not so much the other way round though. I do try and wave as much as possible but some drivers are so in their zone they don't see 😃 it's all good! Drive safe
Good video just to let you know Hatton cross Heathrow has a magic roundabout
@PhilipHales-c1c ah is that the one that's arguable? The gaps between the mini-roundabouts are a little larger than the other magic roundabouts? Fab!
👍
Not that I’m too bothered, but a cheeky red light jump at 48:10 and 48:18 lol. Difficult in a large vehicle though to stop.
@Sammyboy1991 yes I know. I don't like doing it but I have definitely found that councils seem to be shortening orange light phases in recent years. I'd rather not have stamp on the brakes.
@ Yeah, seems as if every council in the UK are anti motorist now. And definitely not, I’m a goods driver and hate stepping on my brakes too suddenly as your load can shift. Not good with passengers on board as well.
I use to do the 727/728 from yarmouth to heathrow from what i been told triaxles use the left bays and normal coaches use right bays (not sure what your driving)
@@TriggerMatrx ah, super useful to know! Mine was only a single
@RideWithRobinVideos ah yeah thought so well now you know if ya ever have a triaxle go left bay it's really really hard in the right bays because of them yellow posts !
Hi mate really like your videos keep them up
@finlayfunkyadventures1044 thanks as always bud!
Awesome 👍 vlogs I'm new qualified driver thanks for inspiring me to do it
@kevinanderson5658 no probs, my man. Drive safe. Enjoy!
Are the bus stations in cities in the less desirable parts of town like the Greyhound ones were in the USA.
@eljaym50 bit of both, I wouldn't say 'less desirable' maybe just 'different'. My guess is it's a cost issue. Most councils charge operators to pickup/drop-off in the main bus station. Especially a regular service like NatEx, Flix etc
How come you didn't have your hazard warning lights on when you started to reverse always best to have turn on just in case if anything was to happen even the coach next to you had them on?
@jacksonbritton4436 whereabouts? Not deliberate, I do most of time obvs just forgot this time!
How come the Heathrow tunnel has double (I assume white) lines that start too early to get in the necessary lane? I assume it's not as strictly policed as on normal roads. I've only had to drive on internal Heathrow roads once since 1990 and hopefully never have to again.
@MrMWRMWR interestingly, on watching it back I noticed that. It's a tunnel thing, I know a few similar type tunnels in the UK are also double-white lines. I guess they assume that if you know that then you get in the correct lane before the tunnel starts.
Do skills have levantes?
@georgeemmett1801 Yep, for the Skills contracted services, including some brand new 74-plates. This is a temporary cover for another company so it's got Merc's on it. I don't know the finer details!
I support the Cheshire Phoenix who are in the same basketball league as the Leicester riders
@finlayfunkyadventures1044 next time we're up there ya'll have to come along and come and say hi!
Middlesbrough bus /coach station which unusual u shaped has it sussed properly Easyest bus station
@@kevinanderson5658 oooo ok, maybe I'll get a chance one day!
