- The player test realm was graced by an abundance of c*ck today, where the druid was finally introduced to the whole of the playerbase and there is some stuff that is DEFINITELY going to need to be roped in. This is ALL the mechanics with examples of everything.

They gonna need to adjust some things, but the mechanics are at least in. Bear form should be doing WAY more damage than it is.
Im a bit confused again. Good bones here for sure but it feels like this is at a stage we would have expected months ago.

Most people are pretty much fine but some people Realy suffer under it for quite a while
and Regarding the bear form
kinda feels like thats more so supposed to be your Tank form to buy time for your team considering how slow you are you are unable to chase the knockback also hurts the abilitie to Kill anything quite bad.
Kinda feels like he is just a Very defensive Char overall (multiple spells to block Terrain or lock it down as well as a varietie of heals more so then even the Cleric who was supposed to be the Healer

You can only have one at a time, but a team of them would be pretty funny
I wanna see how +magicheal stacks with some of these spells, and go port it all on wiz to have root+mm. The spells go fast with just 15 knw it will be insane on wiz especially the heal.

its silly how its better to use the staff than the bear and cat form but im sure that will change
It is funny how obviously, everybody will play druid on test and try out spells and forms, but they give him the 5dmg reflect perk that will autokill anyone trying to kill you as panther/chicken/rat so that we effectively cant use it for testing on other druids with the reflection perk.
Thorns build got buffed with Thorn Coat. Heal over time for Warlock. Pick Pocket plague rat? Some nice support spells so on its own or paired with Bard or Cleric could make for a super healer buff bot. Entangle, Ice, magic missile melting?
Perseverance and Thorn coat will go HARD

Im not positive, but I seemed to have success using it as a dodge or maybe to mitigate damage. I didnt fully test it but there may be something there
Thanks for the info, Wonder how this will go with the multiclassing. Seems like clerics are going to be a bigger pain in the ass if they are running extra heals. However, I do think there needed to be more support spells in the game for sure.

Is there some limitations to the spells and the transformations? Can you do them X amount of times before having to sit or campfire?

It should be 1 recoverable health every 3 seconds
agreed. The fact you go into rat form for 6 seconds and get full health is insane. Makes fights super long when fighting another druid
Btw the treant gets wayy faster if you spawn in water and hits harder
I spent an entire raid in the Crypt Dungeons as a rat, jumping through the bars of cell doors to loot skeletons and chests.
Also, it's worth noting that rat form is currently bugged and you can heal yourself fully just by transforming back and forth a few times.

But yea I think this is just on the test server so people will stop doubting it exists lol
The amount of work they just made for themselves to make this class feel like it should actually be in the game is unbelievable. It will take so ridiculously long to make the animals not feel totally out of place and actually usable. I feel like the next few months are going to be mostly focused on making this class not feel and look jank. They should have just added sorcerer instead. I really think it was a terrible idea to make the next added class one of the most complex that we'll probably ever see. I'm just taking a break from the game for a while until a lot of this is completely smoothed out.
I really miss the slow dungeon crawl we had in the playtests.
Meta gaming and the constant flow of information regarding efficiency is what make the slow crawl go away so fast

That insurance system seems really bad for the game, the top of the line gear player really didn't need a winmore mechanic.

I like the idea of D&D but every time I play it I just have Zero fun. Im hoping that once the game is polished more I'll start to enjoy it.

Yep, except imo here it's done in a relatively good way, especially for a new game. The pack costs not much, has no other advantages aside skelly memeing and the access is not "promised sometime later, maybe". The time between promise and release of the Test Server was quite small, tbh. Ironmace really are doing decent job with their game, especially in contrast to some others. They clearly have not grown complacent yet, some others of their promises were fulfilled earlier then I anticipated too.
