Not only are the untrained, I guess they don't read their email. On 24 Aug 2022, the Postal Inspection Service arm of the USPS sent email to every employee. The email informed them of 1A Auditor. They have the right to record. They can stand in the lobbies. They are not trespassing, and do not call the police. Do NOT call the police. Do not talk to the auditors, do not interfere, do not take pictures or record them. And what are these employees doing? Everything they are not supposed to do.

Poster 7 could be clearer IMHO. Here's what it currently says.
Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, corridors, or auditoriums when used for public meetings except where prohibited by official signs or Security Force personnel or other authorized personnel or a federal court order or rule. Other photographs may be taken only with the permission of the local Postmaster or installation head.
    Here's better wording.
Photographs for news purposes may be taken in entrances, lobbies, foyers, and corridors. This is a first amendment right that shall not be infringed upon. The same is true for auditoriums when used for public meetings except where prohibited by official signs or Security Force personnel or other authorized personnel or a federal court order or rule. Other photographs, such as for commercial purposes, may be taken only with the permission of the local Postmaster or installation head.
I submitted a complaint to the USPS IG; may I suggest you do the same.

Just got off the phone with the manager of this location and he says that he has just now trained ALL the employees about our 1st Amendment right to record in public. At first, I spoke with a lady and explained to her about a viral video going on at this location, she was trying to say the whole "If we went and filmed you at your house.....yada yada..." and I said, "Ma'am, first of all, my house is private and the Post Office is pubic even though it's Federal Property. The public isn't allowed in my private home. She then forwarded me to her supervisor and we went from there. There were no arguements or disagreements.

Great work, James. I look forward to the next chapter of this story. If it means educating every public worker one by one, then that's what needs to be done.
Keep standing up for our rights. 👍

When that guy was reading the rules against recording to you he was basically doing a modified gishgallop that was a fallacy of omission and of obfuscation.
What he read you was essentially just a recitation of the internal memo version of poster 7 which is just the federal law 39 CFR 242. However he used the slick propaganda fallacy of the lie by omission/obfuscation and the gish gallop tactic he essentially just skipped over parts that were relevant to PROVING YOU RIGHT and validating your right to film covering it up with a “yadayadayada” and a mumble to fool you.
For example you could hear him say you are allowed to film in lobbies foyers and corridors when used for news purpos-da da da dum- and authorized for commercial-whoops-ummm-buh buh buh bummm-See Right Here!!- ALL OTHER PERSONAL PHOTOS MAY ONLY BE TAKEN WITH PERMISSION
He just quickly added in a bunch of nonsense noises and mumbles to make it seem like he was reading it and understanding the relevant parts but he was really skipping the relevant parts and actually accidentally read the part out loud where you ARE ALLOWED TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR NEWS PURPOSES.
The odd thing is that with the exception artistic shots or keepsake photos absolutely any other photography taken by anyone could be considered potentially news worthy.

They have cameras exclusively at the post office and apparently the employees don't trust them. The supervisor refused to look at the man he's talking to. Hint, he's not trustworthy.😂

    I love your audits but..
Whenever you do the next post office audit
Can you please wait till the police come and explain to them that they are the ones breaking the law by coming into the post office with a firearm!!
    That is a felony crime
Also remind the city police that they have NO authority or jurisdiction at all Federal building!
    Cheers from 🇸🇪Sweden🇸🇪👍❤️

The fact that the cops have to come and educate these ignorant employees about their iwn policy says alot about the failure of the usps training. 🤔 You can't fix stupid though 26:34
