Imagine it’s 2023 and you can only use 3 sounds simultaneously with this Korg that is almost 6k. Even the Fantom was way better in 2020…

I see you have the 88 key version, still having a hard time getting my hands on one…. Just a simple question, how do you like the key action?
I’m pretty demanding when it comes to key action. I find it a bit uncomfortable to play on it. It doesn’t respond in an accurate way. Playing really softly is almost impossible but I guess this instrument is not made for serious pianists. I expected more from Korg at this price tag.
How do you judge the sound of PA5X 88 compared to Fantom 8? I would like to buy one of them. But the Keybad of PA5X is concerning me. Will PA5X a permant companion for you or will you move forward?
@andreasfriedrichs Fantom 8 is a workstation where you can layer up to 16 sounds simultaneously. Pa5X is an arranger mostly used for styles/grooves. I do not own any of these keyboards. In my opinion they are overpriced and are targeting people that choose not to go the VST route.
I recommend using a quality midi controller (like SL 88 Grand) together with a computer that has the sounds of your choice.
That being said if I had to choose between the 2 I would go with Fantom because it’s more reliable and has better functions. But this is not an option for people who want grooves and styles.
