This is one of the most incredibly well mixed songs I think I've ever heard, scratch that Album I've ever heard. Mark Ronson did an incredible job making it sound completely air tight. I still remember sticking the headphones in and listening to this full blast and it was just a ride. ❤️

They've got a quality similar to TOOL in that their music doesn't just age well, it sounds as if from the future regardless of when you listen to it.

Actually, it's this song that's 5 years old, but apparently that's been re-released on the new album "Times New Roman," so really it's only a few months old... The album anyway. It's System of a Down that's actually back!

This song is revelatory. This is the future of rock in my opinion. If only that last minute went longer. After rising to that tune, i could listen to that culmination for hours. Makes me NEED to see this band live.

Are you a musician, bro? Because you've got one hell of an ear. I've been a musician for over 30 years and I didn't notice a thing until reading this comment and going back and listening to it very very closely. And I've been playing/singing this song accompanied by my own guitar playing for years. I feel that during the intro, the ethereal, synth sounds come through much more clearly, the bass is more pronounced throughout, as the other commenter mentioned, plus, during the lull just before the building crescendo, as Josh sings "between pleasure and agony, a runaway line" there is no "pick scraping" to be heard on any guitar, unlike the album version we're all used to. Good fucking call bro. I would have never put in this much time or effort to investigate a comment if it weren't my favorite song maybe ever. If this song doesn't make you want to move, I don't want you in my life, lol. Cheers bro

I was hoping for more punch with these remixes... instead, it's an ever- weaker mix. Love the song, hate the production. I'll stick with the live version.
Remix? I did notice subtle differences, one of which I was disappointed over (the point of the song just before the building crescendo when Josh sings "between pleasure and agony, a runaway line" there is no pick scraping on guitar.)

Technically it is because it’s different from the album mix, which already had a kinda Millie and weak sound. This track was the one semi-exception, but this album didn’t feel anywhere newr as full and thick and vibrant as songs for the deaf or era vulgaris or even rated R. A good album messed up by meh post-production.
