I think I have similar issue. I just bought a mk2 octavia (2.0TDI) with ECU problem. It cranks but not firing up. I'll check the switched ground to the engine control relays tomorrow. I also can't hear the fuel pump working at all. Diagnostic cable is also not able to communicate to ECU but it can to other electronics.
Hi, l have this same ECU on my VW Golf Mk6 1.6 tdi 2009 it is Simos PCR 2.1. The current VW software version is 8831 date 2010, Is it possible to upgrade this to VW software version 9971. I believe this is the latest VW software update before VW did the EA189 fix date late 2016. As l do not want this EA189 fix software on my Golf Mk6 1.6 tdi. As l have heard lots of VW owners complain about this software upgrade
Please may i ask if you have experience of this software update procedure?Or are you soley just replacing electronic componentswhich are damaged.@@autodiagobd
Nice repair. I like your content very much, but your Sound is very bad, your Soldering equipment makes very loud distorsion noise. Also your Voice is sometimes quite and hart to understand. Would be nice, if you can fix this.
