100% of the people.. perhaps a few excetions... have no means whatsoever to service the microelectronics in an ECU, so most are just after saving $100 or $200 bucks with key reprogramming by swapping the EEPROMS .......

instead HOT AIR, I use GLUE REMOVER around edges.... letting sit for few minutes and it comes off very easily...

You could open a EDC16U31 ECU to clone the ECU via BDM. This can't be done via tools like KESS via OBD so you must open the ECU

Damn, that gasket is too narrow. The manufacturers should have more responsability to make it wider. The ECU's are very exposed to moisture.
I bet he already had that ecu opened because that looked just too eazy
