  • In this video I talk through an important but often overlooked part of Logic Pro - The Plugin Manager. The plugin manager is where you can find all of the information, control and customization that has to do with the 3rd party and stock plugins within Logic. This video is a short and simple walkthrough of the layout and features that the plugin manager has to offer as well as a tutorial on how to organize, group and label plugins. By the end of the video you will be able to fully understand and troubleshoot the intricacies of using plugins in Logic Pro.
As always, don't hesitate to reach out if you have any issues or questions! Thanks for watching and I hope this was helpful.

Thanks for this very helpful walkthrough.
I usually use Luna, by UAD, but I need to start using Logic for some MIDI work.
I'm worried that if I start to mess with the plugin file structure and naming, as you have shown, it could mess up access to plugins from Luna.
    Any thoughts? Thank you.

I think that the file structure is per-DAW. I’m fairly certain that making a change in Logic will not effect the system folders on your macOS or within Luna. I’d test it though, pick one plugin, make a change in Logic and then open up Luna to confirm before you change a bunch of things!
