questio n on the adat on the manual it says it can only be a slave interface because I have a 18i20 and the only way I can get hem to synce is if the scarleet is the master and the ssk the slave ?? i have no problem doing that but would I be loosing quality haveing the scarlet be that master clock???

Hi Wilson, again thank you so much for this two part tutorial! I think you did a great job on laying out a workflow to follow, for a beginner having such a reference it's really helpful. Of course ones cannot go that deep in just two hours, but all the main points of mixing were there and well explained.

Great comparison. Would have liked to see them aimed more toward the center to lessen the overtones but, I agree that the Beta 57 was a good overall mic and did pretty well in isolating.

So many video out there show the workflow with fancy third party plugins, but it makes no sense to spend all that money when you need to learn in the first place. Stock plugins are already fine and get the job done! Looking forward to the second part, so far it was very helpful 👏 Also the song is really cool, hat off to the artist.

Do you have this as a separate App along with Logic on your Mac ? Thanks, is there anything to watch out for also with Logic ? Would I get a doubling in sound from a guitar etc , that I would have to deal with ?

This is great, thanks. I'm using some echo boy more for my guitars, but yours sound great. I would LOVE to know (not on your list below) what your computer is, RAM, Processor, etc. I am using a terrific but older iMac 3.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 with 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 which still works great for my Pro Photography work. But it's dragging after 10 tracks and multiple plug ins... Thank again.

awesome tutorial. I've seen that the ssl2+ can be use as live monitoring / stand alone mixing (with laptop off), just using it for getting power. Seems that ssl12 can be run only with ssl360, have you tried to use it as stand alone / direct monitoring ? once again thanks for your videos.

Hey mate, great video. I got a couple of things out of it. random question for you though, I'm in the process of recording a new rock track and I'm having issues with lag on my arrange window page. For instance when I use my trackpad to go up and down the page, it freezes. it takes so ling for it to register and eventually it works. I've NEVER had this issue and I've been producing for a few years. I'm not sure if there's a setting that I have accidentally changed, but I use a template for all my productions and this is no different. so it's a strange one but annoying at the same time. Would love your help if you have any ideas. Thank you in advance...bk :)

Really nice tutorial and use of different pedals, reverb, delays etc. I was so surprised by the use of a octave pedal and it did so much for the whole sound. You can never go wrong with a Tele and I pick it 98 times out of 100. Even if it has a very particular sound which I love it's so versatile. That dark shimmer reverb really brings that dreaminess to the sound and is very spacy.

Hey Wilson.. Any further explanation/ insights on why I'd create a D.I. track as well as the Effected ( Helix/ Thu/ etc) I see other producers doing same thing with guitars... 2 tracks d.i. and effected. Thanks this was helpful.
