      I had “corvgreg” on eBay rebuild mine. He did a top notch job.

    This video was incredibly helpful, just did this exact swap for a 71 Vette where I upgraded to tilt steering. Followed your video step by step and honestly the job wasn't too bad.

    Hard to hear what you are saying with the rap music playing. Any way to just lower the column so I can change my dimmer switch?

    Where did you get the replacement column?
    Also - You can remove the rag joint sides on both the steering box and column before you remove the column from the firewall. Makes it easy.

      I bought it at the Jefferson Wi Swap Meet for $75.

      @@OntheMarkwithMark You definitely stole it if you got it for 75.00. I bought a used one at the end of 2022 and it cost 750.00 and I still had to rebuild it. Be sure not to get one out of a junk yard unless you want to pay $$$ to repair it.

    If you think getting it out wasn't easy,, wait till you try and put the other in. Not fun. Rebuilt my entire steering column,, Tilt, 1970 C3.

    Question: My project is to replace the original tachometer with a new electronic tach. In order to access the tach, it seems that I will need to get the steering column out of the way. Is it possible to do this by unbolting the steering column and simply dropping it down, or must the steering column be removed entirely? I would appreciate your advice. Thanks!

    • @OntheMarkwithMark
      @OntheMarkwithMark  4 месяца назад

      It can be done by just dropping it down. It’s not that bad a job.

      @@OntheMarkwithMark it was the part where you were loosening, looks like it connects with the bolt?

      Yes, that probably wasn’t my favorite music selection so far. Some people want me to fill in the died spots with music and other people don’t. Thanks for commenting
