I have done the same thing here in Florida because of the hurricane I turned on my 2nd floor sliding door window to a regular window that way is not so hard to cover them when we have a hurricane coming towards florida. Great job men 👏

This is why i hate the power vent hot water heaters and furnaces, you can hear that shit blowing and buzzing through the whole house. I'm trying to stick with my direct vent, natural air exchange style A lot of people bitch and whine about not doing it right, I do this same stuff, I'm not a plumber, a welder, an electrician, a gas fitter, or HVAC specialist, or even an auto mechanic, a landscaper, or gardener, or a concrete finisher. But I do it. I do it the way it works, and if someone bitches about how I do it, they can politely fuck right off, because its done and its working. I have the smarts enough to know when I am in over my head and should require the services of a professional. Good work on this project. water heaters can be real assholes.

Hinge bolts are frustrating butbon a C3 absolutely a nightmare on the C2. I had to buy a camera and do it by video.

If you had removed the lower adjusting bolts of the vertical tracks and removed the tracks the window would come out easily. With the tracks out it is easy to remove the mirror bracket. Live and learn.

The kink usually happens because of a problem within the steering column. The lever on the column refuses to go upward when trying to shift into reverse, then the kink happens. This usually happens when the steering column has been removed and serviced / rebuilt by some one unfamiliar with steering columns. The steering shaft and the shift tube are collapsable for safety reasons. The column can be patially collapsed when setting it down hard on the steering shaft. Rebuilding the column can also collapse the shift tube when re-inserting it into the shift bowl, by hammering on the lower end of the shift tube. Before replacing the cable, the column issue should be corrected, otherwise you will replace another cable. Seen this a few times.

I’m so fed up with this new wood stove and the smell it produces I’m close to ripping it out. We’ve tried preheating with a hair dryer to no avail. Pondering making up one of your draft inducers. I have my doubts though. Even when we do get the fire going and the chimney warm it still doesn’t burn as it should. Most times it almost dies out. I’ve extended the chimney. Brought in a fresh air intake pipe. Nothing seems to help. ☹️

All those angles in the pipe don't help draft either.

Take the heater apart. Wrap the heater wires around your chimney pipe . Use a 15 minute timer on the plug to start it and automatically shut off. This method is 110% UL approved with the 'trust me bro' seal of approval.

Should of put your monster protector on the skirt board and plumbed the arm to get the reading.

Did you ever just try burning newspaper to warm the chimney before loading the stove up? That is a cheap easy way to do it

Your chimney is like many others I have seen, with the location of the trees and the second story of your home above the garage roof line it allows for a low pressure area to form. This makes any house difficult to heat with a wood stove. It also affects plumbing vents for the home.

Your damper is very high. Everything I've read says 12 to 18 inches above the stove. I have a liner and have the same problem. I have a heat gun I put in the chimney. I clean ash as it's heating to keep the dust down. Nice mount for the space heater! I've also used sterno cans before I got the heat gun.

one pound propane torch heats mine up in about 2-4 minutes.

I hate taking wheels off. I just want to put it in there and go
