Love your videos. Always helpful. Self care is a hard one for me as I am my husband’s caregiver. He has a lot of health issues and needs help. I feel guilty going to the gym to exercise but then my Doctor told me if you don’t take care of yourself then you won’t be able to take care of him.
I was exactly the same...all my time, energy...life was looking after my late husband.. and I wouldn't change anything...I would do it all over again x. I understand all that Benita is saying... We should make time for ourselves. ❤
I lost my partner in summer 2022 after a two-year battle with illness. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Since then I have moved house to be nearer to my fami!ly. I downsized and reduced my belongings down to a minimum. I realised that I owed it to myself to look after my personal wellbeing - and to my family too. I find your blogs very soothing and stimulating at the same time. The difference between a frown and a smile is insignificant in respect of the number of muscles required to do it but very significant in the effect it has upon your daily life. Thank you Benita.
I am currently taking care of my 92 year old mother, who has multiple health & mobility issues. I exercise in early am to keep myself fit enough to push a wheelchair and to have the energy to get through a busy day. Sundays are for self-care (as possible)-few household chores, a facial or mani/pedi, reading, even ironing & watching a video relax me. Taking care of ourselves mentally & physically keeps us going for the long haul!
Said it before Benita but your videos are both inspiration and therapy to me 😊 This winter I have kept decluttering, changed for more neutral and earth tones in my home and now with the arrival of spring I buy fresh white tulips every week. I also make a point of finishing up home projects, fixing things, walking more… You’ve inspired me to go the extra mile and also accept that cozy minimalism and attention to details is what makes me happy… and the funny thing is that I see I’m starting to inspire others to do the same 😅 Enough said ! Thank you so much Benita ❤
I totally agree, her videos are calming, inspiring, and therapy fir me too. I leave the videos running all day if Im out its soothing for my cat. .she loves them. And as I do my work I leave her videos running for the calm.
I have a tuxedo fluffy fur baby, he is a senior cat, but so loved 😍. He asks to be combed and loves to be near us, sometimes just in the same room, sometimes on our lap. He definitely keeps us all happy 😊
We are also enjoying the first signs of spring in the Pacific Northwest, with the crocuses and daffodils starting to bloom. I'm looking forward to your summer house projects!
Dear Benita! You really speak out of may heart with this video! You confirm my daily routines that are similar to yours! As I am on retirement since two years and having several severe health problems, I now have the time for self care and it feels so good🤗fresh flowers, exercise every day for 30 minutes, walking outside, meeting with friends are so important, especially because I have to look after my old parents and mother in law….and for that I need extra strength thank you for your motivation and personality, seeing the beautiful things in life, even if they are little, helps soooo much😃🤩as a friend of mine always says: ‘we are living on the sunny side of life and should appreciate that’! So have a happy week with spring feeling! Cheers from Iris from southwest Germany 🙋♀️👋🌷🌷🌷🌞🌞🌞
What a great surprise!!! I don't know why I thought this week was the one without your video. I think it's because I binge watched your shorts. Great video as usual. Beautiful flowers and sunshine. Have a great week xxx
I'm definitely feeling the Autumn chill in the mornings here in New Zealand. Fortunately it warms up during the day but it is a reminder to start thinking about getting ready for a cosy winter.
Honestly, Benita, you lift my spirits each and every time I watch your videos! Sometimes, your video reminds of things I need to do or do more. Other times, I feel so good realizing that I am already doing some of the things you suggest. Either way, all of your suggestions are good and do good in my little corner of this world. Thank you!
Walking outside without music or an audiobook in my ears is a good way to get at least 3 of these in one! I keep a 5 year journal (one sentence a day) where I note something about the weather, nature, maybe a hummingbird that is visiting my rosemary plant to feed, or cutting the first daffodil or dahlia of the season, etc and/or something good that happened during the day. It’s interesting to see repeating patterns or shifts from previous years, and it encourages me to pay attention and see something good every day.
I am so surprised to hear you were ever grumpy. I scowl only because there is so much to scowl about. I mentioned before in comments that here in our area, there isn't anywhere practical, clean, and safe to walk. That's enough to make anyone morose. When the glass is 7/8 empty, well, it's only 1/8 full. "Hell is...other people." - Jean-Paul Sartre 6:45 Riisipiirakkas! We don't have that here, either. Another reason to be gloomy.
Hi Benita! I love your videos so much that I watched one every night until I caught up! Your tips are very useful and I really enjoy when you show tours of the city and tell about Swedish culture, I would really like to see more content of that style. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina ❤
Changing your attitude about common chores and "things to do" is a big one. I've started to alter how I view things and find I feel much better. Thank you for reinforcing what I really already knew, sometimes we really need to be reminded. Blessings sent to you and family.
I've changed my attitudes to chores. I mentally incorporate them into other tasks, eg part of getting ready for work means cleaning the shower out after I use it and wiping the tiles etc. I don't see that as "cleaning" but as part of my morning shower. It's a little mental adjustment that makes things easier.
Look at those flowers! Ahh, so beautiful. This has been a pleasure to watch. I bring little buds and stems in for our cats when Spring comes for them to play with and smell.I think the animals enjoy Spring as well. Thanks Benitta!!❤❤
I only discovered your videos a few weeks ago, but they helped so much already. 2 years ago I was on the verge of burnout and cleaning was the least of my worries, but coming home in a dirty home drains your energy so much. Last December I tried to teach myself to at least do one thing in the house a day, as small it may be, and be proud of myself for it. Now with your videos, I start to take on bigger or more tasks each day, decluttering my home one spot at the time. I gained so much energy back. Thank you, and keep going! 😊
In the US, the seasons change with the each equinox & solstice. We don’t start Spring until March 19 this year. The light is returning, green things are pushing through the soil, birds are coming back from their winter “vacation”. Spring is coming but, it’s still late winter!!! 😊
Today felt like winter again to be honest but aside from March being a spring month, temperatures over a certain degree for a certain number of days also indicates spring over here🌿
Yes - the joy of solving problems. And in #2, when you started smiling during your walk, I found myself grinning into my computer. Proves your point perfectly! Thank you so much for your videos.
Hello Benita, like the other commentors, your videos are self care for me. May I ask: what are those delicious pocket-y things you warmed up with your salad? I'm so intrigued! Thank you for your videos from Maine, United States! :)
I love these tips. I love my copilot workouts. I also had to practice silencing the noise. I do this daily and really refreshes my soul and mind. Thank you for sharing.
Spring in Scandinavia! We´ve really earned it this year. Looking forward to seeing more of your summer house. And I´m so curious about those pies(?) that you had for lunch, what are they? Can they be bought in Swedish supermarkets?
Dear Benita, I was watching one of your former videos and reading the comment from someone who had lost their job. I was wondering whether you’d agree to share some wisdom about work in general, losing a job, pre-requisites for becoming self-employed, etc. I had been self-employed for a few years when the pandemic arrived and all came crashing down. Been lucky to find a job again, especially as I’m over 50, but can’t say it’s fulfilling. Would be nice to see a video about your own professional path if you’d B okay to share 🙏🏻
These are all wonderful habits, Benita! I love your comparison of grumpy face to happy face! I’ve been practicing that for many years. I think more people would if they realized how off putting they look. What was the yummy looking lunch treat you baked? Looked scrumptious!
Hello, I always enjoy your videos, and wanted to thank you for this beautiful and thoughtful post. It is my favorite - the outdoor shots are so lovely and peaceful. Enjoy the spring!
Thank you Benita, I always look so forward to your videos. Each one has always been what I needed. I like when Bous went out on patio, what a cute area you both have thee. Looking so forward to your summer house projects as well. Your the Best!!!!! Hugs to Mr Bonus❤
I try to follow many of these habits as well, Benita! The professional self care is always a hard one though! Happy spring! It’s becoming more autumnal here in NZ but where I live stays green year round. I’m enjoying digging out a few sweaters and putting the extra duvet on the bed in preparation for cooler weather. 😊
Benita i love your videos. You are looking great. Turned sixty this year and help to look after my mother with dementia. Going to try to implement some of your ideas . Thankyou.😊
I love your videos. The content is interesting and they are well done. I love to see your outside surroundings. But one thing that bugs me a lot is the background music. In my opinion, it's totally unnecessary and very annoying. It's enough for me to unsubscribe. Since you mention how you love the silence while you work at home, I enjoy listening to the person talking in video. If I want to listen to music, I will choose that activity. Thanks!
Please , please, keep the background music. Its what is so soothing with the videos.. Like I said I leave the videos playing when Im doing my cleaning, and when my cat is home alone for a few hours. Your videos can be playing for most of day in my home. ❤
Last Sunday was the first spring day here, it had 16 degrees and sun. I was going for a walk with a friend. We enjoyed it so much to see the first flowers (krokusse) and flirting ducks and swans😂. But I should walk alone every day, and don't do that. Thank you for motivation!
Hi Benita, I love your videos! Your advice is always so helpful and inspiring. At 30 years old, I often feel anxious and reliant on others for difficult tasks, which can be overwhelming. However, watching your videos teaches me a lot and motivates me to take on challenges myself. Thank you!
Hello there, from Kaurna Lands (Adelaide, South Australia). We are still experiencing summer here and over cooked at the moment, with a week of high 30's and low 40's 😅 Thanks for the tips, great videos 😊
I’m gradually catching up with your videos they inspire me to live a better life taking care of myself and my little home ( I live in a small cute and cozy apartment) I already live this way but sometimes my mind gets negative and take things for granted ., your videos put me back on the right frame of mind again and I feel joyful and grateful again. Thanks so much 😍🙏🏻🌸
I am in the city center of Stockholm but cities do differ a lot around the world. As for food, I wrote a blog post about what I eat www.benitalarsson.com/blog/what-i-eat because I do get lots of comments about it.
Thank you Benita. I look forward to all the skills you are learning for The Summerhouse. Autumn embracing here. So hot it feels like a second Spring. 😅❤
I understand perfectly the beauty of silence. I was a teacher for 30 years and recently I've been teaching for a Virtual School and it's such a wonderful difference. I still enjoy my classes with my students and without the hourly ring of the bell letting us know that time is up and the commotion of students changing classes. I've been invited to go back to teach In-Class, but for now I'm good. Also, I enjoy your content. :)
I always loved LoFi music with zero lyrics when working at a desk. It’s always soothing to me. I’m in the central time zone in the States and CANNOT for the time to change this weekend bc more sunlight is coming. It’ll be very easy to go for walks after dinner again 😊

As always beautiful video and fantastic advice. I can't wait to see what you do with your summer house. We have bought a small piece of land overlooking a river in Northern Portugal. We are talking to architects at the moment, we are going to build a small holiday house, my husband loves fishing, we have been looking for a place for some time and we are so excited to have found this beautiful location, the sound of the water is just delightful 😊
I used to enjoy my quiet lunch breaks at work. I could easily cancel out the busy cafeteria noise around me and sit at a small table, looking out the window at the trees and birds. But now, management has removed all the single tables and replaced them with tables that seat four or more, forcing people to sit amongst each other, listening to them complain about their lives or their loud phones. It's become rather toxic, no peaceful place to sit and enjoy a quiet meal.
I have been watching your videos for a few years now. I always look forward to your calming voice and beautiful imagery! You've inspired me to revel in simplicity and mindfulness AND to learn more about my Swedish roots! My mother and I will be making the ultimate mother-daughter trip this August to see where my great-grandmother lived before leaving the port at Gothenburg for a farm in Wisconsin! Thanks for what you do! :)
Lots of wise words Benita.. I'm so happy autumn is here, but not quite, in Western Australia. I'm looking forward to having some energy now that the heat easing. It's been unbearably hot here. Am going to buy myself some flowers too😊
Thanks for sharing Benita. Spring is my favourite time of the year and reminds of when my son was born. Spring flowers are such a welcome splash of colour. I’m totally with you about negativity and try and avoid being with people who spread it. Podcasts have completely changed my experience cleaning etc so nice to learn something and be productive
Your #6 is interesting. If I am in a space that is really quiet, then I have difficulty concentrating. I work remotely from a coffee shop and the sounds of people doing their thing actually motivates me to do mine.

Walking outside without music or an audiobook in my ears is a good way to get at least 3 of these in one! It’s interesting to see repeating patterns or shifts from previous years, and it encourages me to pay attention and see something good every day.

Dear Benita,
I was watching one of your former videos and reading the comment from someone who had lost their job.

I’ve had some requests along those lines so there might be something coming up!
💗😊👏🇪🇸
I am in the city center of Stockholm but cities do differ a lot around the world. As for food, I wrote a blog post about what I eat www.benitalarsson.com/blog/what-i-eat because I do get lots of comments about it.
I'm so looking forward to winter here in Australia.
So nice to having changing seasons to look forward to!
Thank you Benita. I look forward to all the skills you are learning for The Summerhouse. Autumn embracing here. So hot it feels like a second Spring. 😅❤
I can’t wait to go there and start working on the house!🏡
I understand perfectly the beauty of silence. I was a teacher for 30 years and recently I've been teaching for a Virtual School and it's such a wonderful difference. I still enjoy my classes with my students and without the hourly ring of the bell letting us know that time is up and the commotion of students changing classes. I've been invited to go back to teach In-Class, but for now I'm good. Also, I enjoy your content. :)
The noise of a school is a lot!
👋🏾;)😘😘🇫🇷
I always loved LoFi music with zero lyrics when working at a desk. It’s always soothing to me. I’m in the central time zone in the States and CANNOT for the time to change this weekend bc more sunlight is coming. It’ll be very easy to go for walks after dinner again 😊
Thank you Benita. This was great advise. Happy Spring from West Michigan 🌸
Thanks so much for watching!
💯💖🍀
❤
Tack Benita, du är en sann inspirationskälla 😃😍
Men åh, vad gulligt, tack!

@@BenitaLarsson sounds like my cat, and 4 in the morning…
I couldn’t find the price of the copilot per month…can you please let me know the indication?
Wanted to double check so I reached out to my contact and waiting for a reply!
Hey! The price is currently discounted at a $99/mo (in a 3-month bundle for $297). Our prices do fluctuate based on demand and our coach availability (our normal price is $129/mo). But there is no commitment when you start a free trial. You can cancel at anytime during the trial (which doesnt start until you actually meet with your coach).
Thanks for checking us out!
🤍🌹🌹🤍
'Positive mindset'...the best tip ever!
Such a game changer!
Danke, Benita für dein tolles Video. Es ist so inspiriend. 👍😊
Danke! Thanks so much for watching!
A holiday home overlooking a river sounds amazing!
Yes! Always a Delight !😊
Aww, thank you so much!
Excellent content. Not Bonus trying to escape😂😂😂😂
He's very happy cuddling when I'm at the computer😅
Sooooo cute
I used to enjoy my quiet lunch breaks at work. I could easily cancel out the busy cafeteria noise around me and sit at a small table, looking out the window at the trees and birds. But now, management has removed all the single tables and replaced them with tables that seat four or more, forcing people to sit amongst each other, listening to them complain about their lives or their loud phones. It's become rather toxic, no peaceful place to sit and enjoy a quiet meal.
Oh no, that’s so annoying!
When life gets very tough no matter the problem, Be kind to yourself you are doing the best you can, is a favourite sentiment ❤❤❤❤❤❤
💛🙏💙
Saying no is a hard one
It’s so hard but so necessary!
Great ideas! I'm curious, what were you eating on the plate with the salad, that you added butter to? Was that some kind of squash? 🤔❤
I wrote a blog post about what I eat and the pirogies are in it if you’d like to read www.benitalarsson.com/blog/what-i-eat
Always love your videos, Benita. Such good reminders as the seasons change. Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching!
What an exciting trip for you and your mother!
I love your desk stool. Can I ask where you got it please?

It's starting to cool down overnight here in Tasmania, Autumn is always such a nice season 🍂🍁🥬
I love the changing of the seasons so much!
Hello from Türkiye. I watched all of your videos. It really motivates me thanks❤
Hello! Thanks so much for watching them all!
Lots of wise words Benita.. I'm so happy autumn is here, but not quite, in Western Australia. I'm looking forward to having some energy now that the heat easing. It's been unbearably hot here. Am going to buy myself some flowers too😊
Enjoy the weather as it cools down for you!

Hey! The link should work regardless of location. Make sure to use the full link if you are trying to copy and paste it :)

@@BenitaLarsson thank you so much for your reply.
What did you cook in that pan! It looked delicious!
Check out my blog post: www.benitalarsson.com/blog/what-i-eat
So happy to hear that music again, like viewing an old friend !
Thanks so much for watching!
It reminds me of that too! My son’s birthday is April 6th!🌸🌿
Your #6 is interesting. If I am in a space that is really quiet, then I have difficulty concentrating. I work remotely from a coffee shop and the sounds of people doing their thing actually motivates me to do mine.
That’s probably how my son feels too!
