Excellent review. I really appreciate the depth and your willingness to go over all the new Endgames and focusing how the whole Nemesis idea worked. Thanks. Order placed. My only gripe is the Eldar is a Dire Avenger, but I guess a Swooping Hawk would have created modeling challenges....(That and I really don't think I'll ever get over the fact that the great Asurmen, hand of Asuryan, is 1. In the game at *all* 2. Is a freakin' 8 with no 4+ invulnerable save, which is all he would really need to make at least *some* sense at least.....)
hi, i`m from argentina, first I must apologize for my poor english, second, i like the review of this game and the expansion, so, i want to say you thanks, because i buy this game and now i waiting for the expasion arrive to my home.
can we use base chars of nemesis exp in the base game without nemesis and aphostates? and also is possible to play in 6 in base game with the 2 exp chars?
I have a question. I played a lot of talisman and there is always pvp between the player. So do i understand it right that you cant attack an other player except one of them is a nemesis character? Just curious if it means that you cant have pvp without the nemesis expension.
Almost correct. You can attack each other if one is Nemesis and the other Imperium. However, if another Imperium player is carrying an Apostate item, you can also attack them. You could, if you wanted to, just implement the Apostate combat rules into the base game, only removing the requirement that the person be carrying an Apostate item. I really don't see how it would "break" the game.
Excellent!!! I think it's pronounced more like "u pos tate" I'm curious about the contents of the nemesis and imperium decks. What do minions look like. Any additional information about skill duels? I recall an FFG preview making mention of the "Cult Leader" tyranid card although I didn't see it in this review - www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/relic/nemesis/prev/RE02-card-x-8.png
Ya, there is a lot of that kind of thing, where you are setting up various encounters for the players and manipulating your infamy. There's a fair variety in there. Some of the stuff is based off of getting players to draw and/or use corruption cards as well, which is pretty neat. The skill dueling is pretty straightforward like I explained in the review. Figure out the skill, roll some dice, and add modifiers.
Thanks for the insight. Really appreciate all of your Reviews. Keep up the Great Work!

I believe so. Double check on the BoardGameGeek.com page for the game and ask there for specifics. Someone there will know for sure :)

Drive Thru Review
ah i see thanks a lot
Hi joel
I've seen your video , have you played the nemesis expansion by now? What is your thoughts on it?
Thanks
Yep it's great. I think it's a must buy. I would get this one before the other expansion.

Instead of Demonette why not replace it with Orks...

Drive Thru Review Awesome. Interesting. Are minions like assets? How do you determine which attribute to use for skill duels?
Dan Ederveen It depends. You choose if it's Imp vs Imp. It's whatever the Nemesis has if it's Nemesis vs Imp.
Drive Thru Review Wow the Devotee gets to choose, that makes it scary for the Apostate. Thank you.
Dan Ederveen Yep. Gotta stay balanced in those scenarios.
