I don’t think so, I think Reed fits well next to Green actually. It’s a bit like Reed and Rob at Kentucky from his perspective. From Jalen’s perspective, it’s not much different from playing with Fred.

@@JoshNBANFL none of those players will replace Jalen. The only thing Jalen should worry about are all the Devin Booker / Donovan Mitchell rumors. These scrubs and yes, as much as I like Reed, he does not have star potential like Jalen just because he shot 50% from three and was a top 3 pick in the worst draft in years. Darren Collison was another diminutive combo guard who shot 50% from three in college. Different players but that’s about the level of production I expect from Reed. The one trait that most superstars in the NBA (other than bigs, for obvious reasons) have in common is their ability to make plays off the dribble relative to their position. The path to stardom for a player of Reed’s archetype is very rare because he is a point guard who is a much worse ball handler than most point guard and he’s not an elite self-creator. He is also undersized which affects his defense. There are stars like that, like Fred for example. But Jalen’s archetype has a very clear path to stardom. All he has to do is be more consistent and efficient and slightly improve his defense and playmaking every season, which he’s been doing.
