This song was probably the most personal song mori has ever made since it's mostly about her real life
Itsl was a really great track. Can't wait to get to more. We primarily are doing standard anime we watch reactions but it's fun to add some of her songs in from time to time.
I guess to give a little background, Calli was originally part of an underground rap scene in Japan, after trying out largely on a whim she took the job from Hololive (the company she works for). I guess that some issues rose from her newfound success and some of her old “friends” got mad at her for taking a company job and “selling out” this could be viewed as her response, saying thank you for the time we had atleast and looking back on what she lost to further her career

In addition, the underground rap scene was pretty devastated by Covid. All the small venues, bars (the line about bars being shattered) and the like where they would perform live were shutdown, some permanently. In the wake of this, some of the other artists in the scene - many whom Calli greatly respects - decided to move on (to their "real life"). So while she is more successful now than she could have dreamed of before, this song is reflecting about the parts of that life that are gone now.

2 down. There’s like, 8-10 more to go. Next one I personally suggest to is red, but really you could listen to any of them and they’re a bop. But about the more popular ones, again there’s red, deadbeats has some fast lyrics (as well a funny little end to the song imo). Off with their heads is essentially a whole diss track to her haters and it’s fire as well. Liked the reaction and I hope to keep seeing more reactions of her songs from you guys. :D

Everyone's already said what there is to say about Calli, so I'll just add that I love that you have Dragon Ball on the same shelf as Monster and Berserk. Is that 20th Century Boys in the top left? Good shit. Actually, what are those colorful books next to the Monster volumes? From how colorful they are I'd guessed they were Blade of the Immortal volumes, but they don't quite match up.

People (herself included) underestimate her songwriting skills let alone her ability to sing.
Im super late and people probably already said this but, we were lucky to get this song at all because if you lesson close you can hear that its a story of calli's live before being a vtuber and this brought her alot of emotion because she was afraid to open up to us but we dead beats supported her and gave her the love she needed
2:20 She did this live in her 3D concert, and it was just as flawless (no lip sync, you can tell by the voice quality).
in addition to everything else amazing about the song, I love that she worked "ennui" into the lyrics. it both fits perfectly and also just feels like such an awkward word to include in singing lol

One on her own channel called "Graceyard Shift" and one on Boogey Voxx's channel called "Crown". Both are hella good. Add those to the list for Calli stuff
