Been a korn fan for nearly 25-30 years... they evolved in so many ways over the years. Please give them some love. Been to about 12 of there concerts. Seen 8 to 80 year olds, both with Mohawks. Plus, the crowd is the LOUDEST of any concert I've been to.
The irony about rappers becoming influenced by Nu Metal is that originally, Nu Metal was influenced by Rap. Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, Papa Roach, Linkin Park and others all have heavy rap influence in their music
More KoRn please! They’ve been my favorite band for over 20 years, nobody else sounds like them! Johnathan’s voice is so amazing & unique, & his lyrics are like dark poetry. They have sooo many great songs. It’s their 30th anniversary this year, they’ve been doing this a long time, & are still absolutely killing it!
If you do react to more Korn, I recommend the big singles which you may have heard "Blind" off debut album & "Freak on a Leash" when they hit mainstream topping charts over Insyc, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears etc. along with Eminem around that time. Especially a metal band over all the pop music. There's actually a cool story "Munky" the guitarist from Korn talks about 1st meeting Eminem not rly knowing him back in 98 which could explain him being in the "Got the Life" video barely seen near the end
Slipknot and Korn are my 2 favorite bands for a reason. They just hit different. They're gateway bands into some real heavy stuff. Like slaughter to prevail.
Man it was a great time to be young and watch these artists explode and rise up the ranks. Between Korn, godsmack, slipknot, etc it was a great time for music.
Absolutely nothing and nobody else is better than KoЯn!! (Other than the mighty Metallica) I've been listening to KoЯn ever since I can remember! My brother and sister are actually from my Mom's first marriage and they are 11 and 10 years older than me, so when all my friends were growing up listening to whatever music they were listening to, I grew up listening to KoЯn, Limp Bizkit, Nirvana, the mighty Metallica, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Staind and lots of other groups like that!!!
Always takes me back to middle school days watching a knock off MTV show in the am and hearing bagpipes and Johnathan Davis for the first time. Life changing
One of the standout KoRn songs from 2005... Original guitarist Brian 'Head' Welch had left the band and was not in the video (Hence, only 1 guitarist - James 'Munky' Shaffer)... Head would reunite w/ KoRn in 2013 because he was never replaced in the band... KoRn had a unique sound when they debuted in 1994 w/ their self-titled album; it wouldn't sell commercially until 1995/ '96 when MTV promoted the singles 'Blind' ... 'Clown'... 'Shoots and ladders'... The album went gold in the US eventually (half million copies) but has sold more since then. After KoRn broke big in 1998 w/ their 3rd album 'Follow the leader'... their brand of heavy rock/ angst/ hip hop became tagged as 'nu metal' by the press because a lot of the bands in the scene started fusing rock w/ hip hop by that point (Limp Bizkit, P.O.D, Coal Chamber, Hed PE, etc.) and it was different from 80's heavy metal like Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc. ... and were definitely not 90's grunge rock.
Yo, listen to daddy of their self titled debut album in 95 (I believe). That 1 song alone will have you understanding where his mental health has begun to turn in his life. Super emotionally heavy song. They only played it live like 2 times cause Johnathan (vocalist) struggles to play it even to this day. The music is really good with it as well. Really bass heavy and dark
Please PLEASE check out "evolution" by korn. There's some real interesting melodies and sounds that are done only with their instruments, which is wild
Nu Metal is just a sub genre of Heavy Metal popular in the mid/late 90s and early 2000s.they would mix heavy Metal with other genres a lot. Hip hop being one of them. Falling in Reverse would've more than likely been categorized as Nu Metal back in the day.
I started out listening to 90's hip hop and loving it. growing up with snoop/dre and many more then I got into Nu metal and that was it. Korn, limp bizkit, slipknot and many others now im both a metal head and old school rap/hip hop fan
Slipknot came a little later. The original bands to kick off nu-metal were Korn and Deftones, along with a few others. Slipknot's debut released 5 years after Korn's debut.
I would sub solely on your wall art in the background, I think its cool you are checking out Korn, should you decide to go down their rabbit hole, I might..who am I kidding, I just subbed, good times ahead. Love your decorative perspective
I remember first discovering them through this song. I was in junior high. And I saw them playing it on TV (a latenight show, I think) and they were all wearing animal masks. It was kinda trippy. I later found their CD and asked my mom if I get it. I think they were wearing animal masks on the cover. My mom didn't let me get it after looking at it. Lol 😑
Saw your "25 or 6 to 4-Tanglewood"-Reaction today, wondered, why i wasn't subscribed yet (fixed that immediately) - based on your reaction, "Cortez, the Killer" covered live by Grace Potter with Joe Satriani on Guitar will be worth a look. Keep up your great content - your reactions and your chemistry are top. Best regards from the Black Forest, Germany
The guitarist head has an awesome redemption story you guys should check out sometime. Brian "head" Welch I am second. Powerful. Great reaction as always. Keep it up.
Jonathan Davis microphone stand is like a 50 thousand dollar mic stand designed by the late great H.R. Giger who is the guy who made all the designs for xenomorphs for the Alien movies. You should react to other nu metal bands like hed PE, Deftones, dropout kings, Attila, King 810,mudvain, mushroomhead, please react to some of these.
"Its like a soft intense" Metal- Korns first two albums- We would like a word.... I dare you to play "Good God" from life is peachy as loud as you can handle it
If y'all like the nu metal, Limp Bizkit would rock your face off if you haven't gone down that road yet. A lot of people made fun of them for a long time, but their music is fucking fire. It just has this rhythm to it that not a whole lot of other nu metal bands were able to capture.
Just Think Jonathan Davis, the singer of Korn, Was the fastest rapper for a long time and held the record for it. A ton of people don't know this but go look up his record setting i beleive through Guinness World Records.
I've got my favorites from both on my playlists! As with any artist, I may not love everything they've done, but you bet I'd go to their concerts! Lol!
Yeah. Good idea on not limiting yourself to one genre.. You could probably do Korns whole first album. it and my opinion is even better than this. It’s a little heavier a little more raunchy peace out brother good job.
watching rap fans turn to metal heads is my favorite passtime. Reminds me of myself at 14 when i discovered metal. Now metal owns my heart and soul.
Been a korn fan for nearly 25-30 years... they evolved in so many ways over the years. Please give them some love.

iLOVED untouchebles
The irony about rappers becoming influenced by Nu Metal is that originally, Nu Metal was influenced by Rap. Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, Papa Roach, Linkin Park and others all have heavy rap influence in their music
Korn - Twisted Transistor, has famous rappers in the music video
It's a fun ass video lol
One of my favs.
Best vid ever!

Best band ever. Please go down the rabbit hole, they have sooo many bangers.
Check out "Got the Life" and "Freak on a Leash" for more of Korn's craziness. "Falling Away From Me" is one of my faves.
If you don’t like Korn, you don’t like music 🖤

So glad yall branching out a bit. There's a bunch I could recommend being a person who listens to most genres
Slipknot and Korn are my 2 favorite bands for a reason. They just hit different. They're gateway bands into some real heavy stuff. Like slaughter to prevail.
Korn - “Issues” was the first CD I ever owned. I’m glad I was a teen during the Nu Metal takeover and rise of Eminem.
Man it was a great time to be young and watch these artists explode and rise up the ranks. Between Korn, godsmack, slipknot, etc it was a great time for music.
I miss those days more and more
Nu metal is just elements of Heavy metal mixed with other genres, typically hip hop. Metal is metal
Absolutely nothing and nobody else is better than KoЯn!! (Other than the mighty Metallica) I've been listening to KoЯn ever since I can remember! Slipknot came a little later. The original bands to kick off nu-metal were Korn and Deftones, along with a few others. Slipknot's debut released 5 years after Korn's debut.

Nobody drops the beat better than Korn
If y'all like the nu metal, Limp Bizkit would rock your face off if you haven't gone down that road yet. A lot of people made fun of them for a long time, but their music is fucking fire. It just has this rhythm to it that not a whole lot of other nu metal bands were able to capture.

Try Korn - Never Never! Awesome
They actually had a chopped and screwed version of songs on this album
Korn the father of Nu-metal

Yeah. Good idea on not limiting yourself to one genre.. You could probably do Korns whole first album. it and my opinion is even better than this. It’s a little heavier a little more raunchy peace out brother good job.
Be interested to see your reaction to KoRn - Daddy
It’s a rough one!
They would need to look up the back story. But yes.
@@roycecharlton4924 agreed. Context needed for sure
Yeah, don't
