    while watching this video my static stopped no joke :O

  • @metsfan421
    @metsfan421 6 лет назад +7

    What he also needs to add is when it's not driver related if you right-click your speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and then click on Sounds. A small window should open up showing the following tabs from left to right Playback, Recording, Sounds, Communications. Click the Playback tab and choose your speakers that are having the issue (mine was listed as SPDIF Interface) and then the name of the speakers under that. You right click on that device, and then another window shows with 4 more tabs, one of them being "Supported Formats". Uncheck DTS and Dolby because that is what is causing the issues with certain videos being played causing static, popping and whatever else you can describe that god awful noise as sounding like. Hope this comment helps someone out, took me a minute to figure it out, so hopefully it saves someone some time!

    Nice video, thanks. Realtek audio drivers are notorious for static. I changed mine for Microsoft High Definition Audio Device, and now there is no static unless you turn up the external amp right up to eleven!

      How do you change it to Microsoft High Definition Audio Device?

    • @tvenergyproductions1

      @@MattDoesLife539 I can't actually remember. I think I uninstalled the Realtek drivers, and when I restarted the PC it found the sound card, and installed the MS ones automatically. Please check on the internet first though.

    If this video doesn't fix your static issue if you have a PS4 controller plugged into your PC that might be the issue. I had a PS4 controller plugged into my computer via USB since it has a headset option it interferes with your audio on your computer. I unplugged it and it went away!

      What if you want to play with the controller in and hear clearly pls help lol

    • @Zivon8
      @Zivon8 5 лет назад

      @@carbalos7335 I use a program called InputMapper to use a PS4 controller. I bought the Playstation Official Bluetooth connector to play wirelessly on my PC. I then use inputmapper so my games recognize it as an Xbox 360 controller (which is more widley supported than the PS4 controller). Alternatively you can use steam to configure the controller for all games (again PS4 controller is not widley supported for most pre 2017 games). You have to find that in steam settings. If you don't have the Play Station Bluetooth adapter or any Bluetooth receiver on your computer. Plug in the Ps4 controller via USB, you can then use Inputmapper to do the same thing or Steam without having to fiddle with Bluetooth. Hope that helps.

    I've see several videos on RUclips over the past few months that people's audio is glitch y, with drops outs often. Parts of their words are missing. The only thing I found that might be the problem besides Windows 10 is that in the power options, the CPU is allowed to run as low as 5% power and they just moved it up to 100% and claim that as the fix.

    • @dan_tanna
      @dan_tanna  4 года назад

      Hello Renneth! Good point... That could also be the issue as well. This video was made over 2 years ago and Windows has updated numerous times since then. But it dies makes sense that the power options settings can affect the audio.

    So, I did this but it said the drivers are the best drivers, and I can't roll back, I mainly get this static lag audio issue when like I boot up my games or get dm'd from Discord while playing a game..

    I got the first part, going to the Audio Outputs and Imputs but when you go to Sound, Video, Games, do you roll back or update? That part was confusing. Thanks.

    Ok, I am getting desperate here! My Roll Back is greyed out. How can I roll it back. Or can I just uninstall it, reboot and it reloads it right? THere are no updates for these at my current level.

    I don't have static. But I have a pop sound that comes through the speakers whenever my laptop does a new task. It is not bad speakers because I replaced my old Logitech speakers with newer upgraded ones and the pop still happens. Any ideas what could be causing it.
