I’m going to Osaka in October 2023. I recently got into photography and always love to see your night photography videos. I look forward to taking a night stroll out and capture what I see when I go!
consider a 35 or a 50! its nice to have some distance with the 85, but getting something wider will place you in the environment and make more immersive photos, which is important to learn for beginners
Au de-là des vidéos et des photos qui sont toujours au top, j'adore ton choix de musique ça met une vrai ambiance. Je pense me prendre un 85mm j'aime beaucoup le rendu
this gets me hyped for my month long Japan photography trip, got a week booked for Osaka so stoked. lived in Aomori before I was a professional photographer so I have some unfinished business to attend to this trip
@@adriensanguinetti yeah I live in Korea right now so taking my paid vacation back to Japan instead of going home to the states. I’m excited. Loved Osaka when I visited before. If you see me out say hello 👋
As usual, great video, thanks a lot ! I really love the halation effect + the use of cinebloom (guessing here) in the video part, the shoot at 9:33 is just perfect !
Stumbled upon this beautiful work of yours. Watching it to get some motivation for my upcoming osaka trip. I have the same setup but i cant stop looking at your battery bar, its constantly full!! Mine drains within minutes :(
Lovely video and images…would it be possible to have a quick run-through about the coloring, because I guess without them this would be somethintg much more ordinary (no offense, I am sure you understand my point perfextly!), they just add so much to the vibe!!
Hello , nice work , u re very good my friend , i have one question Is it better to use ISO on auto when shooting like that ? I m curios , i m new photographer and i m tryn to learn to use only manual ... thank you for your time
The camera came back to motherland. I love night shooting with 85mm wide open. The vibe is amazing
Thanks!
Yeah definitely love that too! Used to need ND etc but these days with electronic shutter and super fast shutter speeds its awesome
The photo @ 4:18 was stunning, from the framing to the lighting & cool aesthetic from the color and grain 🔥👏🏾
Thanks a lot!
Love the music! Always a great vid 🙌🏼
Thank you 🙌
Pic at 5:39 is crazy. It was completely daytime and you turned it into nighttime with that -2.7 exposure comp 😅
Haha indeed, exposure compensation dial is so handy to do this quick change
I'm just now learning about back button focus, I'm definitely diggin it!
Late to this one but I loved it; if there's one city that has bladerunner vibes it's Osaka. So full of life!
Thanks! Indeed, Osaka is a very fun city to shoot and has a lot of these retro Japan / bladerunner vibes

Awesome shots and really inspiring, I was having a hard time deciding between 24mm and 85mm for my first lens but im sold on the 85mm now. Thank you

It was shot with the 85mm
Amazing video man. Keep it up!
Thanks! Appreciated!
Will keep trying making the videos better and better
Love your work. Im sure others like me would love to see some editing videos, to see how you get your personal vintage-touch.
Keep it up!!!
Thanks! Will try make a video about this soon!

A whole month dedicated to shoot around Japan, Nice!! Osaka is so fun to shoot, hope you will have a blast 😃

The shots and the videos are amazing!!,I want to know what stop of pro mist filter did you use?
When you do these street photo shoots, do you edit the photos or those photos are just out of the camera?
Love the grain
Thanks!
Another amazing video and stunning photos!! May I ask how you changed AF indicator (when it's not focused) to red??
Thanks! It's in the Focus settings as follows: Focus Area > Focus Area Color
As usual, great video, thanks a lot !
I really love the halation effect + the use of cinebloom (guessing here) in the video part, the shoot at 9:33 is just perfect !
Thanks! This time I did not use the Cinebloom. I am using a plug in called Dehancer to add the grain, halation and bloom in post
Incredible! What camera did you use?
What settings do you like for Japan nightlife w/ an 85mm? Full manual? Aperture priority?
Always use aperture priority 👍🏻
did you also shoot the video on 85mm? 3:43
Tu filmes tes vidéos avec qu’elle appareil car j’aime bien la qualité de tes images bravo continue à nous faire profiter de ton art.
did you use slog or hlg to film videos?
Slog3 always ;)
Stumbled upon this beautiful work of yours. Watching it to get some motivation for my upcoming osaka trip. I have the same setup but i cant stop looking at your battery bar, its constantly full!! Mine drains within minutes :(
Thanks for your comment. Are you on the A7IV with first party batteries?
the things id do if i had a camera like this or a fujifilm

Great suggestion! I will make another editing video soon. I have also a Patreon account with a monthly editing video ;)
Nice pics 😎 was the brain intentional or is it high iso noise?
The grain was added in post, thanks for your comment
did you add noise later in editing??
Yes 👍🏻
I'm living in Osaka!!
素敵なところですね!
WOW! Amazing

I m curios , i m new photographer and i m tryn to learn to use only manual ... thank you for your time
Je trouve que le 85mm en street photo permet d’avoir des clichés uniques, puisque vous êtes suffisamment éloigné du sujet.
Auto focus is for the weak 😤😤😤 I have spoken
