I did the same and it’s the best decision I ever made . They’re so versatile and a lot easier for me to style and do protective styles on . I love my micro locs
Giirrl I've seriously been thinking about doing this. Ive had mine 10 years, but idk they're not doing it for me like they used to lol. Both of you're sets are beautiful ❤
@@thejaisymone Thank you for the info. I love the look of thick locs. I've had freeform locs first, then wicks, and eventually thick ones. Idk if I want to try smaller ones now. Still, I wouldn't go for micros because they look too much like loose hair for me. It's the thick rope look that I adore. 😍
If my hair was thick, I probably would’ve done thick locs too. But bc it’s so fine, it’s looks real crazy, real fast. I say try the smaller ones, but don’t interlock. You can always combine them if you don’t like the look
@@thejaisymone good idea. My last set had 46, this one I've had for 4 months had 66. I wasn't sure if I would like the 66, if they would have been too small, I was going to combine them to 50 or less. I combed this set out because I was getting flat locs, and I moved to a new climate that made my hair very brittle. Now, today, I have a deep conditioned afro lol. I'll probably put locs back in after a month or two. For now, I'm going to enjoy learning to take care of my loose natural hair.
I started out with conditioner & water, but I had color on the ends of my hair & I felt like it was breaking it off… so I just switched back & forth between the metal part of a rat tail comb & the comb part & combed them out on dry hair. It’s very tedious… took me about 5 days
The traditional locs were beautiful too. 😍
Thank you!!

Combed out my traditional locs after 2.5 years. Thinking HARD about going micro!!!!!!
Me too!
Those traditional locs were definitely giving, but so are the microlocs. Your hair is beautiful in both styles.
has to be the most underrated thing you can do with your hair
Definitely!
Girl idk what you’re talking ABOUT cause your traditional Locs GAVE!!! Both sets look beautiful! 😍♥️🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much ❤️
Those traditional locs are goals 😂
Literally just decide this, yesterday combed out locs, today one square of microlocs started, doing them by myself
The difference is going to be major! Good luck!!
I did mine as well, and it was tedious but saved a lot of money and allowed me to know my hair better.
I did the same thing!
I LOVE the traditional locs!! 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you!
I did the same, I love it here❤
Girl I feel you on this but iam still thinking before I get the microlocs
they look so soft looks like curls or something
The ends were still curly, but a lot of them have started to loc now
@@thejaisymone ohh i see now
I loved the traditional loccs but you’re cute! ❤
Thank you!
Beautiful. I too have micro locks!
About to comb my trad locs out and do the same thing.
About to start mine now I cut my hair and waited until it got long enough again to do extensions can’t wait to see the growth and process
I’m about to do the same thing. I can’t wait!

Recently cut my locs so I can start micros when my hair grows back. Starting to wish I would have combed them out but w/e lol
Girl, you are so brave!! I wasn’t ready lol. I know after these, I’m going to have to cut, but I don’t plan on that happening anytime soon
I did the same but only bc of my scalp issues with traditional
Being able to wash & wet them more, definitely helps!
Beautiful ❤ did u start with two strand twist and did you braid down a little before u started to twist
Isssa vibe 😍
How would I say I want them like this with the ends like yours
The traditional locs were giving? Like imagine those in a wig! Ppl pay money for those. Was about to get them too!
@@Hercurlzrbadd thank you!!
Did you start them yourself?
Love it sis ❤
I understood ❤❤❤❤
Did you just dye your tips or is that new growth?
Im combing out mines right now, trying to decide if I want small ones. 😅
They’re a lot more versatile, but it still just depends on what you’re going for

Take them a loose?! Giiiiirrrl🥴
Yes this is me now they were giving nothing 😂
🤣 nothing at all!
How do you start them cause I’m trying to start a business
I just started with 2 strand twists
@@thejaisymone ok thxs
And there cute
Thank you!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I started my locs with braids 11 months ago. I want to comb them out to start with twist. How did you comb them out?

Are your ends loose?
They were.. they just hadn’t loc’d at the time
@@thejaisymone ok. Thanks for replying .
No problem
How long did you have your traditional locs for ? And did you loose density ?
I had them for 11 months. & yes, only bc it was a new loc journey though. The other ones were bigger so they got dense a lot faster than the microlocs
@@thejaisymone thank you so much for responding !
Cause i did the same thing. Ill be a month in three days
Enjoy the journey!!
Hi lady, miss seeing you. ❤
Heyyyyyy!! I’ll be back on this week
@@thejaisymone yayyyyy I can’t wait to see how your micro locs are doing and what you’ve done to the house and how the girls are liking school ❤️❤️
