Glad to see you got them out without damaging the parts, I know how long you've waited for the kit, brown vinegar can stain, so white is the best option.
Wooden ships are really enjoyable to build. I have no idea where to put it once it's finished. My wife suggested a spot, but it sounds quite uncomfortable 😬 😉

@@GregWilson635 I just started to get into the hobby, and my Dory I had a nasty rotation in my transom. I use the alcohol to remove and then I was able to reset it correctly.
Unbelievable - who would have thought vinegar dissolves white glue.
I had no idea. I had used just water before with limited success but the Vinegar works so well.

Does the vinegar leave any residue on/in the wood that would affect the next glue joint?
No it completely disappears and the glue I placed there again has dried solid
That was actually easier than I though it would be.
Good job on fixing it so neat.
Thanks mate. it worked surprisingly well
👍👍👍
I find a hot air gun works also works well and it's quick.
That's a good idea also. I'll try that next time because there probably will be a next time :P

I work in heavy industry and I have twice had 2 tonne of steel dropped on my fingers. That was enough to destroy them.
Well done Greg. So glad you got it done without damage.
Thanks Bill. I was pretty relieved myself
It's always nice to pick up tips!
I'm always on the look out for better ways of doing things
I use 99% rubbing alcohol to brake a pva joint.
Thanks for the tip. If I do it again, and I probably will, I'll give that a try .
