Yes Greg it is Gordon . Sorry about the music. I will change it 😉 The instructions call for the keel and stem to be added, which I did. It also wanted me to add the stern post, but I've left that off until I finish the second layer of planking as the first layer will have to be sanded again, so it will get in the way.

Thanks Greg I haven't seen that before ( keel before planking ) seems that it is harder that way. Thanks for the music change. I have vids here also, and it's always hard to find good sounds. Keep it up.

I haven't seen testors paint here. I'll have to look it up. I have been doing the brown paint as a base on all the other parts and it came out really well but I have run out of brown and I was too keen to get it done 😉 Thanks Rick 😀

There is no wrong way, at the end of the day it will be painted and he will probably have copper plating too. So your comment is mute. It’s his ship and he’s doing it his way.

Thanks mate, Yes , will need to very smooth for the copper plating. I've never done a second planking before so not sure whether to use white glue or contact glue for it yet. I'll have to do some research.

@@GregWilson635 I did try contact glue before but I personally didn't like it. I just use super glue on them and it's super easy. They are half the thickness of firs planking so easy to handle and bend, no need to use heat gun to bend them. I do have regular white glue, but fast drying one which takes about 1 minute to dry. I personal recommendation would be super glue, but it's all trial and error.

Thanks. I wasn't keen on contact as it seems messy. I have a fast drying white glue but super glue sounds like the best option.
