All good. Friends that have done them say it will last the remainder of the boats life if done correctly. Wood.makes them heavier and you can use foam too, but it will require a little more work
@@Bigwaterfishing thought of foam but feels like that could just lead back to the same issue down the road. Gonna try this method and if I don't like it I'll just get them all made in aluminum

@jonesyrules15 it probably will....but it also will probably be another 20 yrs before that happens too. Lol
How thick of plywood did you use?
You want it thick enough to fill the void area with epoxy all the way around. Will be different for each boat
What size plywood was this?
Thick enough to fit the void without bulging the gap you have once you bore our the core that was in it
What epoxy did he say he was using?
