nope,. we have about 30,000 bears in California. They come down from the mountains routinely to go into the pools and see if there is any easy food around. it has been caught before and red tagged, meaning he is not aggressive., leave em alone and they will go home.
yes it is... a friend of mine works for .. the wild life preservation in S. California... one day I had a bear visit me, and she was red tagged. I asked him about it, and what they do, is, if someone calls out animal control because a bear is in their back yard, they are sedated, captured, and evaluated. if the bear seems aggressive they will be green tagged and relocated further in to the wilderness, if they are non aggressive, and some what docile, such as THIS one, they will be red tagged and released in local mountain area.

Unfortunately Larry Currier is right as much as some of us would like to love the bear give him food shelter and such they are wild animals and if we offer a handout they will come back as in nature if there is a river full of fish they will come back it's easy food if there is a certain home that gave food before the bear will come back and is then in danger as humans are terrible and we look to kill things so we can survive.

Margie Lulu Poor baby...? Who? The bear or the dog?? Poor baby would have eaten the dog and you too if you had been there.
i really feel bad for these wild animals 😞 i know these people don't harm them and that they are just driving him away back to his home... but these animals have little home and food left because forests are being turned into subdivisions. 😭
this is not a forest, never was, this is Los Angeles County
At one point and time it was a forest! 🌲🌲🌲
j-ackie g Yeah. Should have given sanctuary to the bear, registered him to vote, provided free health care, paid his college tuition , and guaranteed him a government “job”.

Bear says I'm going back into the woods and find some berries. Screw this city stuff.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
They've put 3 stars on him for looking for berries. Quite a hostile city.
I'm glad the police had some sense and waited for him to leave, instead of guns blazing, he was scared and hungry poor thing.
Same, I was very relieved that they hung back. The bear already looked very stressed. I've noticed that cops who are exposed to wildlife in their everyday life are more chill than cops who work in the city.
The bear looks worn the heck out!
The sun, heat, must be horrible on wildlife. I think he just wants a cool drink and a dip in the pool and he is on his way. Oh...and don't forget the snacks!
Ps. Please don't kill him!!
Look, not even the dog is attacking it! He knows the bear is just hungry and hot from the sun. Just wants him off the property. Wildlife officials do a food drop far out in the woods somewhere! Leave a tub of drinking water out there too please!
Cheryl Cooper with forest being cleared, hunting for wild games etc.etc.. global warming, polluted river, overfished rivers.. competition for food by human who hunts for a living...
..........nothing is left for bear....woke up from hibernation..river is empty... No wild animals for food ..so out of the woods in search for food... Etc..
The bear is molting.
Cheryl Cooper nature doesn’t exist to u does it?
nope,. we have about 30,000 bears in California. They come down from the mountains routinely to go into the pools and see if there is any easy food around. Bear is tagged, so has a habit of being around human areas, getting into trash. They are often found in the mountain suburbs in LA County getting into peoples pools. That said, the long drought has been hard on all kinds of animals, not just us humans.
That bear is hungry 😢 and maybe thirsty as well 😭😭😭

Applies to all animals not just a dog. Running away triggers hunting instinct....
Bears are such cool animals. It's sad that humans take everything and can't preserve their habitat. I'm glad that the bear got away without being harmed.
I think bears are looking for friends, and a sandwich. They seem willing to adapt, but probably too clingy.

I agree completely. Human encroachment into bear territory. Clearly over development.
You should sacrifice your own flesh to be food for the bear then, if you value them more than humans. Leftist brainwashing has caused a loss of common sense I'm afraid.
You mean where the bear used to live. Animals displace animals. It happens in nature constantly. Black bears are no where close to endangered and tasty. I say it's where people live and eat tasty bear. Grow a pair seth.
@@sct4040 Clearly? What makes it clear. Can you draw a line on a map where the development was acceptable and where it's not? If you can't it's certainly not "clear". What an idiot.
@@Mavrck-it2kq a bear displacing another bear ain’t the same as humans displacing bears or other animals. the problem with humans displacing animals is humans a will tear down forests and upturn the whole area and leave little to nothing for the native animals. the bear in the video is among humans because it has nowhere to go and no food to find because humans disrupted the natural balance
The Bear had a tag in its ear. So the Bear must have been tagged by the Wildlife Service to identify it.
Bear just looking for food
Ogie Cruz it not going to find any in human society and if people give him food, that could harm its health.
they're always looking for food. They survive in the wild, getting human food just puts them at risk. As in, this bear isn't the slightest bit afraid of humans. That's bad for his survival.
Dragon Aspect It wouldn't harm its health but he'll learn the pattern and would always come back for more food. And that's dаngerous for humans.
Human snacks like an arm or leg... Deforestation plays a huge role in lack of wildlife homes..

We broke into their home and built houses if we’re gonna be technical. 💀
I run into bears at least once a week when I walk my dogs where I live, never had a problem, they just keep to their own.
I have noticed that as well. I am terrified of bears. They are fearsome glorious creatures, and living in Alaska had me exposed a great deal. But I don't have a single negative experience to account for in their midst. I've been frightened, but had no conflict.

I wouldn't exactly call it a break in/home invasion when all the bear is doing is wandering aimlessly outside in people's yards and down the street in search of food stuffs. It's trash day. What do you expect?
It's our fault as humans. We take them away from their homes, we threaten their life when they deserve this world as much as we do.

People are building houses in the bears territory.
Bradbury, (if they mean "Bradbury Estates", the city adj. to Monrovia, Ca) is a the base of the San Gabriel Mountains five miles from our home compound in El Monte, Ca. Inotherwords, it's bear country with homes and swimming pools in it, and lots of horse crap so I'm not surprised a bear is around checking stuff out.
As opposed to building houses in space? I mean there's only so much room on Earth that isn't occupied by some type of wildlife. I guess we should stop letting people build homes? What's your solution? No more procreating for humans? Lemme know how that works out.

That is one courageous dog! Tail tucked in but still trying to protect his family. I grew up in S. California and never saw a bear running loose. My Dad did catch a large opossum in one of our trees. 1960's time frame. A couple of years ago my brother called and said there was a mountain lion in his next door neighbors tree. The neighbor had 2 large German shepherds and they kept it in the tree until a couple of forest rangers came with a dart gun and took it away. The cat had traveled through about 5 miles of high traffic areas to get there.
