Had bears in our yard twice. Both times our dog ran them up a tree. Had to bring the dogs inside so the bear could leave the yard.

So the cop had the stunt gun,what was he waiting for …to see the bear killing somebody ? What a bunch of cowards ,three police cars and nobody does nothing ,really ?

The bear was looking for food. He didn't find it so moved on. Bears don't like to take extra risks either even if the dog was smaller.

Man, tough to pick sides in this one. The dog had some good arguments, but he wasn't that confident. The bear too made some good points, but the confidence was lacking.

They should go to court. I think the dog should be arrested and charged because the bear was in fact invited by the homeowner.

The dog's body language indicated that he was playing, he was not being aggressive. But the bear did not understand. He does not speak "dog language."

Bear turned out to be a teddy bear & the dog became victorious. Generally big bear's one fiesty punch from the clawed front paw is enough to tear apart any dog but here brut courage defied massive strength.
