Happy fourth Mike, on that six battery charger unit go grab a can of Brasso and a acid brush. Work it well into the contacts, with a spray bottle of water, with the unit upside down or better yet unscrew it and clean it that way from the bottom. Easy $50 I’ve been watching your scavenging for about a year. i’m in my mid-70s and a retired mechanical and electrical engineer. I love watching what you pick up and think that the items are I recognize probably 95 to 98% of the items. 25 year old history at a Children’s Hospital as the rehab engineer manager. The vacuum pumps that you uncover make excellent refrigeration evacuation pumps. All you need is the gauges and Wala an easy hundred dollars! pool acid and rust gone and 30 seconds. Coat with WD-40 and you have a perfectly working item. HAPPY SCAVENGING
@@fullhalf420 and he's losing a lot of money on those coils, the scrap yard will pull them out of the pile still,I do this for a living Iake alot on those coils
Oh my goodness! Until one sees this you have no idea how hard you work. You work so hard for us to enjoy your videos. I appreciate all you do and all you're doing for the planet. Have a great 4th. Stay safe and GOD bless
Hey, Mike! Thanks for teaching all of us new scrappers how to break down our scrap runs. We really appreciate all you do keeping us informed, entertained, and in the know! Awesome video
Darren from England again really good episode can't wait till next time dumpster diving episode love watching the programme brilliant used to do a little bit myself years ago old change now good one might keep on scavenging
You played "Für Elise" at the end like a master pianist! Beethoven would have wept to hear you play that . It's my favorite tune to relax with. Your commentaries keep me coming back , well done.
Hey Mike, good to see you and as always love the videos. Your wife has got to be one of the happiest women around. You are always out dumpster diving or curbside scavenging, outside getting scrap yard ready. You bring home the bacon and leave her alone. 🤣🤣 Have a happy and safe July 4th.
Great adventure as always Mike. Your videos are so exciting. I went out and found me a straw hat because of you. My is not as big enough coverage from sun. This Texas heat is brutal this year. Bless you Mike your hard work is a inspiration. Need more men like you. Their would be no lonely women😅!
Dang Mike, you're the hardest working man I've seen in a long time. There's nothing you won't do for some extra money and content for your videos, jumping in the nastiest dumpsters and lifting items that should take at least two grown men. Heck, you work harder in an afternoon than my husband does all month! And he makes bank as a blackjack dealer, and whines if he has to work his entire 8 hour shift (with a half hour break every two hours) 🙄 life isn't fair, or you and the girls would be living in your dream home on some acreage. Enjoy the 4th, and cuddle with the little ones that don't like the celebration nearly as much as the humans do. Cheers 🍻 I 💙 MTS! 🐼💪🧦🐶🐶
Fantastic Follow Up - You are soooooo Organized indeed - its a Pleasure watching You ! Trip to the Yard and Piano Mike - ha ! Not a bad Payday - shows You when You clean the Scrap up that You get a Better Price ! Well done and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
And just looking back at all the videos you have earned it no matter my opinion or whoever else you've been a positive in all your jocularity has made somebody laugh and when you make somebody laugh it opens their heart God bless you Mike
I really like the way you did the scrap run because it gives us a real good idea of how much work you have to do after you bring it all home before you can turn it into money.
Never draw the grinder towards you- it will do the work for you going the otherway and you won't burn up blades so fast! Oh and the When Johnny Comes Marching Home tune was great!
Hey Mike, It's a lot better to go behind the metel on the coils it keeps the copper all together then just pull it off when your done. I do these all the time and pretty much have it down to a art.
Awesome breakdown video and scrap run thankyou. WISHING you and your family a safe and happy 4th of July, praying the two little ones don't get scared because of the fireworks
Funny part is you don't need an ac license to buy equipment. Home Depot and Goodman sell to everyone. You can get a freon license online for $25 though
Question for you Mike. The central air units. They are aluminum copper rads. You cut the copper noodles off the outside of them. Then pull the steel plate off. That's a clean ACR. Did I hear you right, that your scrap yard don't buy them? Up here in Pennsylvania. We get good money for clean ACR's. If they don't buy them. You are getting screwed over on good money. Just wanted to let you know. Love your videos. Glad to see that you scrap out everything. Just like I do. Stay safe and keep em coming.
Hey Mike I watch your videos all the time I use to dumpster dive when I was at work driving a taxi at night lol but keep the videos coming love watching them when I get home from work late
So much cool stuff in the followup! Thx for taking us along to the scrapyard! Yesterday was my birthday & today is the 4th, and a MTS video makes my weekend the perfect trifecta! I hope you & your wife have a great holiday weekend! 🇺🇸❤️
If you use household vinegar you can clean up the corrosion on the contacts of the chargers. Workd on all types of battery contacts like flashlights, car battery etc.
The drill powered cutter freeing the plastic covering over the aluminum Romex cable took a lot of time like the car window lock boxes and AC cores. Separating the wheat from the chaffe must be done.
@@mad-k6q it sucks, lol. But you do what you gotta do! I've done more and made less. I'm 65 and still walk my street and pick up cans. It's not alot, but it's cash.
The car window alarms had a pin and I'm guessing it would be holding that stainless mounting piece going by what I saw so if you get another batch try knocking the pin out no electricity needed (environmentally friendly) lol /elbow grease but you'll have clean cast aluminium! just a thought young guy . As for the air /con I say cut it up and squash it/crush it then it's not as a perceived air/con part just scrap ally . Cheers👍👍👍😎💨🏴☠☮☮
immerse rusted iron pieces (like the hammer you showed) in vinegar, salt, liquid soap solution for about 4-5 days. Every spec of rust will go away, looks brand new and you can just spray paint it and use it for years.
I really enjoy your scraping video's they are so relaxing to me. But the absolutely best video's are the ones where you go to the scrap yard. Keep up the great job
