Congratulations on graduating from the Harry Potter school of magic for woodturning artisans. Your graduation project is a Beautiful creation, DON"T MESS UP THE BIG ONE 👍👍👍.Thank you for sharing. Be safe🇨🇦
Thank you so much! Those cracks are going to be challenging with the big one. Thinking maybe a square shaped ring, and similar hard cornering on rest of bowl, rather than rounded. What would you do with the big one, given depth, grain, rarity/expense, cracks? Just out of interest.
@@WoodWithDI am the last person on Earth you should ask advice on any of your artistic endeavours. Thank you Kristina! Sold that Zirocota sculptural piece I made last year at a show last weekend, so I think I’m going to now make a replacement in similar style (but nowhere near the same) with that big bit of Ziricota in this vid
Many thanks Andy, I look forward to seeing you attempt at something similar on your instagram page. Love your Bluetooth speaker stuff, amongst your other work!
@@WoodWithD cheers Richard I take that as a major compliment!! One day I will give it a go!! Keep up with the great work and keep posting its great to see your spin on things
Beautiful love the color and the grain I had visions of the wood splitting when you were trying to put the 10 mil pins in but you got away with it I really love the contrast between the brown Ivory and you pins would love to see what it looked like after Lenore got finished with the gold leaf or semi precious metal Blessings
Hey Wade, I was lucky indeed! 😁 for the no splitting at least! Here’s is the gilding offering Tamise (all non-precious metals: ruclips.net/user/shortsc_IQlQDFLf8?feature=share
Well welcome Robert. I do hope there are plenty more that you’ll find enjoyable to watch and I very much look forward to your comments on old and new videos sir 😁👍 This is one of my favourite videos: ruclips.net/video/Q8tkix0Dw0U/видео.htmlsi=2GjraEyqPie3vY4f And this was a one off fun build: ruclips.net/video/QWybdpuACMg/видео.htmlsi=hSOVObkvvFsw3lB7
Great work with this. Really nice concept and executed beautifully. Think I've got a few more videos to catch up on. Just trying to work through my watchlist which got out of hand.
Well thought out! The brown ivory it’s just gorgeous… why did you not enjoy turning? The wood looks like it may be oily (like the opposite of wenge). How does it feel to the touch, closed or open grain?
Not oily at all, close grained, the Wenge was a good match. The brown ivory suffers heat cracks easy with slightest heat generated when sanding. I’m just getting fussy in my old age 😢😊

Great to see both of you yesterday!!!!
And I look forward to the next time 😁😁😁🤗

Size matters!
The big one would make a great hollow form i think , looks like a serious blank
Even with those cracks?
