Excellent reaction. More reactions to her performances please. If I may suggest, react to her EP which she co-wrote with her husband Dave Lamar.
Several years ago observers set her range at five octaves plus four notes. I think she has matured greatly from that time. Her lower notes are deeper and richer. Her higher notes are more stable and seem easier. She seems to move through ranges easily without much concern. She stated in an interview a year ago about Signature, a recent five song EP she produced and co-wrote with her husband, Dave Lamar, she doesn’t want to known for her whistle notes which she still does on occasion in live performance. They have also become better. She approached Signature as if she could sing the same songs 20 or 30 years from now. Part of the light you see is her spiritual life. She is a committed Christian and one interesting song she recently recorded on an Asian Christian label was Water walk. Dave and Morrisette release a joint EP From the Sea early this year of songs they wrote to commemorate their wedding in June 2021 instead of cover songs. The lyrics, vocals, instrumentation, and mixing is top notch. She is both a cover and a genre busting performer spanning pop, religious, blues, rap, r & b, to dance. She is only 26 with 12 years of professional experience. Morrisette has so much room to grow and mature as long as she is not pigeon holed into others expectations. Finally, as with most great singers it’s her God given tone that draws people. We make up reasons we like singers from energy, to technique, to style, but it is really that tone where the great singer produces pleasing tones that seem to encompass different frequencies simultaneously.
We know she can hit those high notes but oh how I love her lower tones.

you matter a lot too rosalie , i've watched and listened to dozens and dozens of musical video reactions over the years and one thing i noticed in my observations a typical video reactor must have listened on the average to only about 70 to 80 % of the vocal performance of the artist at hand and actually watched at even less at about 60 to 70 % for a number of reasons you'll find if you observe closely their behavior and i'm such an observant person . it's a strange phenomenon but real .
thank you Jonathan. Interesting observation. It makes sense to me to a degree. It is hard to capture everything, especially when watching many videos. Sometimes I for example, notice things I wish I would have mentioned, once I watch it a a second time.

It's amazing that she has multiple videos with over 150 million views but her channel has like 50,000 followers. She uses some other platform mainly and I think it hampers her gaining subscribers. Since she's had trouble getting traction in the US, I really think putting effort into a RUclips channel ala Tori Kelly would be a way to increase her fan base and make some cash. I mean I know a content creator who has a couple hundred thousand subscribers and said he made over 1/2 million a year (including live streams and superchats). Can you imagine being able to score 150 million views and what it must earn you?
Well said but those videos which more than 150 million views, the most beneficiary is WishBus 107.5 channel. Not from Mori herself personal channel. I hope, recently it can change the game. Currently, her own Spotify mthly listener's has increased from previous 650 thousand to 1.2Million, hopefully it continues increasing.
@@georgeyang3851 Yeah, it sucks that Wish gets the money for that if it's monetized (and I'm sure it is). I understand they give a lot of Filipino singers an opportunity to reach a wide audience (sometimes worldwide), but I'm sure a singer there can only earn so much from live shows....since you know, the vast majority of the country is poor.
I've seen her say that her main channel is some platform I've never heard of and hopefully she's making something from that, but RUclips is the best way for a singer to become famous here (where much of the riches in music can be earned).
Her official channel has just shy of 400k subscribers. Star still runs her former "official" channel and still posts new content. Not only that, the About page actually says "Hello everyone, this is Morissette!" so very misleading. That channel has almost 700k subscribers. So she had more than it seems, they're just scattered between the fake official account and the real one 🙃 I also think Wish and the reactors' views siphon off many of the views she might get otherwise on her official channel ... but I *don't* think the reactors should feel bad about that! They are helping spread the word about her as well.

But, l can say, she is lucky that, Each Year's, she had captured estimate 4500 reactors around the world react her music. If each reactor channel captured average, a minimum 5000 views. Mori music video actually has gain more than 22 Millions views. Some of BIG reactor has even more than 1M subscribers. Right now, either Mori gain more exposure and recognition! right now her mainly income earn from her digital streaming and live show events invitation.
Like , @playlester stated....we can all be shocked by when we hear a whistle note , or growls and squeaks, and vocal breaks and cries, but its knowing HOW and WHERE in a song to use them, that conveys emotion. Morissette even after the 4 years I have followed her closely, has really matured in this area. What drew me to Morissette was her TONE and after trying to find new adjectives to describe this addicting sound......best one I could find was...EUPHONIOUS , it is so pleasing to the ear and you never tire of it. When Bruno Mars had his concert here in the Aloha Stadium he got tickets for us, Bruno every now and then calls his uncle's cell phone like in the middle of rehearsals or bbq lol Bruno lived with his uncle a bit when he was a teen.
i really hope that you meet or get to interview mori someday because what you said today that although she is compared to maraih she would like her fans to know her as mori, her songs, she said that in an interview for the release of her first ever EP. because it was the first time writing and producing her own songs. you should check out her EP she has 5 songs on it!
