Vito Boxing talk I hide my accent because I get tired of being asked if I’m from a place that I am not. Additionally, I don’t like when people try to mock my accent. They think it’s cute, but their mockery sounds ridiculous to me and I find it annoying. I’m proud of where I’m from, but some people’s ignorance I’d rather not have to deal with.
J L O'Bryan bro please don’t trust me there are benefits too from being different. Whenever someone asks you the question, turn it to fun conversation, they respect you more. I can tell you that i have been with lots of girls from Europe and America from my accent alone. Plus, the key is not just your accent. Work on your success also. They will respect you and love your accent even more if you are good at what you do. Example. African accents are accepted now or more accepted now, not because we demanded it. It was because of our success in various fields. Not just in music but in education as well. I am Nigerian, and trust me. A lot of Asians wants to learn our language or emulate us. Just because they acknowledge our free spirit and happy lifestyle. They dance to our music and celebrate with us. Don’t get me wrong, there are dickheads and racist as well, but generally, we don’t gain respect for being different or trying to emulate whites. We do that by being original.
That's how we Nigerian get down we changing the game from internet hustle to digital marketing using funnels facebook audience insights, Google analytics market reality , 3rd platform technology big data all sorts thats how we West Africa, Nigerians get down when it comes to the music thang nah mean. African American peep game . its time for us to come together and get to it. and take back our culture... we all the same...
@ ade doyin.... I totally agree👍... I’ve been saying this . WE blacks from America, Caribbean, Africa NEED to start working together, owning our music companies because of course we see where our brothers and sister in the USA being used.... BIG UP 👍👍to the Nigerians who’s now showing how it should really be done without ANY major labels in America ( FYI : they are not owned by blacks)
This guy is really smart! They "Said guess which city?" Then based on what people most guessed/hoped for was where they would go! That is brilliant entrepreneur skills. He would be successful in anything he put his mind to.
I hate when these big African artists come and they keep using the phrase “up and coming” these are big huge artists in Africa and should be regarded as such
@Culture Freedom The world is Africa.. Africans are the only people in the world that would go all over the world and blend in whilst still knowing where they come from
I understand were you coming from I'm AA but I love African music it's all I listen to I think I listen to it more then actual Africans so they are the most amazing people I ever met I love burna boy Popcaan and Mr eazi juls cheif obi all ofemmm
This has to be one of the best music artist interviews I I have ever watched ...... and I watch too many damn it! Mr Eazi you make us proud its not easy to hold the attention of a group like this , not only did you do that ,you did it with ease, poise, depth, knowledge , confidence , assurance, brilliance and light heartedness . God bless you , you are a credit to Nigeria and to Africa. If I could change one thing , just one ..... the video would have been longer .....World watch out for this guy ... Our boy Eazi #youdidthatshit
Presi Dave in the US they only play like 5 artists on mainstream radio, i was just naming some artists from Nigeria that I listen to. I didn’t say they were the only ones
What I immensely respect about Sway and his team are his socially and poltically cognizance maintaining a gentle accessibility to the global world cultural and artist influencers. Much respect to Sway for informing his viewers and listeners to such artists as this young Nigerian artist.
Africa better support and protect Mr. Eazi cause what he is doing is going to benefit everyone and can change the whole system. We need more people like him and Nipsey doing what’s right and fair. Lets stop waiting for a handout or reparations and unite and help ourselves.
@chocolatin.... I agree ☝️...START Working TOGETHER... we are sooo creative and smart .. Im so happy seeing my Africans brothers and sisters rising , it’s now time to come together... these younger generation are making things happen trust mi😉
I've always appreciated Mr Eazi as an artist but watching this interview I can understand his girlfriend's shoes (JTO) and even see his wisdom, humour and kindness trickling down to his future children. Im in love ♥ I applaud you Mr Eazi
At what point should we give Sway an African citizenship ? Sway chose any country in Africa and we will give you a citizenship. You’ve proved yourself to be a real brother.
I remember Charlamane da god saying when he came to South Africa he saw people who look like them but the only difference was that South Africans knew what language they speak and which tribe they from.
Sway gives legendary introductions. When jesus comes back sway is going to be the first to know because jesus would contact him and ask him to do the introduction
This was a great interview!! I feel like everything flowed effortlessly, great engaging questions and Mr Eazi is great at expressing and articulating himself
Yes some children of the middle class used to try speak foreign due to the music and movies they were exposed to back in the day but even then there where other children who from day one have always been core and proud of their culture, language and accent... foreign things never appealed to them... in fact, to really be taken seriously in higher society in Africa you must understand and know your language and culture very well or you will be laughed at and there would be a limit to how far you will progress in African society.
mr eazi i dey sight u, has all his ps and qs down to a t...don't think i've seen an artist so calmly break down the game without trying to hide anything.
Waguan Sway, mi from Ghana and u got to check these African artistes out, they are just dope. They are: la meme gang, joey b, kwesi Arthur, .manifest, sarkodie, shatta wale, stonebwoy, tulenkey, akwaboah, ycee, falz, king promise, rema, fireboy, j derobie, adekule gold and whole lot more from west africa. Culture Freedom I like to believe we are a country and the countries within Africa are provinces. We are one people and one nation✊🏽
If you are from Africa, don’t hide your accent or mask it for anyone. Your accent makes you real and different/unique. Don’t!
