I just noticed that it has been attached to the belt. Is it a good place from your experience?

That depends. These days we usually attach it to the front of the Hakama where the belt knot is, and we use a black sock to cover the green light. :D
The position Sensei Tissier is wearing it in this video it kind of gets in the way of rolling and Koshi nage throws. He didn’t do any of that during this seminar, so it was okay. :)
