Great video and installation tips. Thanks. As an aside, I have a Rebel 500 2023 SE and the speedo is so dim even at maximum setting. I wish my display was as bright as yours seems to be.

Hey man! I recently got a windshield just like yours. Does it help with wind or is it too short? I am 5'9 and I'm wondering if the wind will just get redirected to my face, lol.

Bro, these clamps are absolute garbage cheap aluminum. If I even manage to mount these tight enough without cracking them, do they even last?
My panel flew off because the previous owner broke that top pin but the aftermarket one I bought look better

Would you recommend this bike for a new upcoming who has little to no riding skills? Also I know people are against getting a new bike as a first one. But I always find used rebels for like 6-7k and I thought if I spend that much might as well get a new one. Thanks in advance! Have a great one
Absolutely an approachable bike for a begginer. I've seen used ones in my market for 4.5k to 5k... so it just depends on if you want to save a few grand or not. The 2020+ models do have some updates to the suspension and gauge clutser so that's a factor as well.
@@MotoMedicine904 gotcha! I’ll consider my options open, if I can get a used one for a good deal I’ll consider. But I do have some great union banks that would be willing to do a loans. That’s why I wouldn’t mind doing new.

A few years ago now, did you end up buying one? And how was your experience if you did? I am riding a new R500 and just completely love it, even if I used an Iron 883 and a Low rider S before. At least for a small town in Norway this bike is just awesome, top speed limit in this area is 90Km/h. So more than enough blast in the 500.

They probably was trying to start it maybe, someone stole the stock mirrors off of my 14 valkyrie in a dollar general parking lot, I was inside for about five minutes and I didn't notice it until I left the parking lot.

Thanks for the video! I bought the mounts you’ve linked and my stock mirror wouldn’t screw all the way in- did that happen to you? Also, I don’t know how I can set it up so it doesn’t strike the tank- how’d you do it?
They shouldn't quite bottom out in the adapters. Turn the bars all the way to each side and swivel the mirrors until they just clear the tank then lock them in place

Mine flew off while my buddy was driving it on the highway . I was behind him and saw it happen . He didn’t even notice .
I had checked the air filter a week or so before this so I'm assuming it just wasn't clipped all the way on. The new one has been holding no issues.

For the plugs did you get one regular and one reverse? Or both regular?
Two regulars I believe. You can always double check by loosening the mirrors and making sure both loosen on left hand turns and tighten to the right

That one came on my bike when I got it. It's a Motive flyscreen. I replaced it with a 1/4 fairing style windscreen in a later video

Where do you get those grips ?
They were already on the bike when I got it but you can easily get some that are just like them on Amazon or Ebay. Just search motorcycle grips for 1 inch bars.

@@MotoMedicine904 It's common for the rebels (from what I've found on the forums). The wiring loom behind it pushes up against it and can knock it out. I just got my rebel 500 a few days ago and first thing I did was ziptie back the wiring a bit more and was able to push the plastic in more than before.

White lining is just rude and shows a me, myself and I mentality of a self centering ass. Pissing off cage drivers can get you into a world of hurt.
