This song is like a love letter to Decade of Statues from another dimension. I've listened to this album every day since it's release. It is absolutely stunning.
Decade of statues from it's future past as this album is telling us that the future is behind us. Decade of statues was made after this song in a sense yet we arrived to it earlier from this angle. It came out about a decade after colors too.
As someone who grew up many years on the original Colors and I was blown away by Colors 2 and the amount of excitement and appreciation from other fans is contagious. Sometimes I think about other fans that weren’t able to make it all the way to see Colors 2 or some of BTBAM’s other albums in the past few years and It’s kind of a bummer. That being said, having so many people feel the anticipation and excitement for the record and being apart of that is beautiful. We’re all still listening to BTBAM and carrying on with them for those that loved them when they were around. If you felt the excitement and just complete and utter joy from listening to this then know that the same feelings will always exist for anyone who has ever loved any music in any time and place.
I'm from Raleigh, NC. I had the privilege of seeing BTBAM play dive bars, tours, festivals, and most recently the NC State Fair in 2018. Easily one of the most talented collection of people to ever make music.
The setlist for the most recent tour started with this. They were just standing there in darkness with some ambient noise. Lights on! Full adrenaline! Calling it intense is an understatement
@@zlol_ssbm North Carolinas' metalcore scene was quite big in the 90's the BTBAM were a direct continuation of that during the first 3 records. The last riff really reminds me of the early stuff and old school metalcore in general

This is the only band that every album prints a world into my mind like a reading a book. I've listened to BTBAM nearly daily since The Silent Circus, and they never get old. I was bummed the great misdirect show was canceled, but I'm glad they put the time to even better use. This is amazing!

I was dissapointed by Automata I. Severely so. It sounded like they were really trying to make it on the radio with that album. Automata II was a nice redemption album.

This is still an incredible album but Colors is God Tier

Thats not to say they are bad tracks and I can acknowledge maybe at some point my opinion will change, but my original point still stands that I've been listening to Colors 1 since I found the band in 2009 and I have NEVER skipped a track on that album, which puts it above Colors 2 in my mind FOR RIGHT NOW. Same. After hearing this track I thought they'd got their heavy sound back but the rest of the album was too light for me to really love. It has some great parts and is growing on me but I prefer the more frantic style they used to have. Their newer material is too much like Dream Theater/Haken IMO. What I loved about their older stuff was the fact they sounded nothing like other prog bands... Nothing wrong with DT (used to be a big fan) but I thought BTBAM were pushing the genre and were super unique, so this feels more like regression than progression to me.
