It's time to bring the channel back man. This space needs deep meaningful thought and interpretation. 2024 is the year that the pendulum starts to swing back.
Hi Larry, sad to hear this shall be the end of the channel. I really appreciate your videos, all your warnings and tips, all that you did. All the best for you, and thanks a lot
Thank you for all that you contributed and I hope your 'new' life will treat you well. Enjoy the music! Without people like yourself, Janos, some unusually good hifi dealers, designers like AN sharing long forgotten techniques... its much slower to develop a good Hifi EQ or good DIY level and a sense of proportion. I feel the world could use some more people that want to progress with truth, wisdom, skills, craft and constructive attitudes to make things better, not just to entice people to part with their money... but you've actually done so and left great material. 👍✨🎶
Everything is structural and yet we are individuals. Our consumer/liberal society rams the second truth down our throats every second to the exclusion of all else. We forget the former - thanks Larry for reminding us. And thanks for the Vandersteen recommendation and all your reflections. Hopefully the hifi community can generate different forms of production and places of real hifi to keep the spirit alive. All the best Larry and to you all. ✌️
Thank you for all your help! I started my journey with Audio Note ANE-LX and now will end with Klipsch Cornwall IVs driven by Leben integrated 300xs!🤝😊
Its crazy how first power cord (from the wall to power strip) can change how your system sounds. Thanks for your sharing. Pls never delete these videos. 👍
Well, I know many of your views are a bit controversial, especially when it comes to cables and connectors and such. But you were the one who introduced me to brands like Audio Note and told me about brands like Spectral and Nagra which I never really heard about before. You also convinced me to finally ditch a pair of B&W speakers and go for a less engineered sound, you also inspired me to get a tube preamp. I'd rather listen to ten guys like you who have strong opinions and make personal tier lists than guys who are bland and say everything is pretty good. There is nothing I hate more than "professional hifi reviews" where they somehow manage to say absolute nothing except good things about the brand, the founder and the wood finish. Best of luck with whatever you wish to undertake next. I hope you keep the channel up, maybe in the future you will be inspired to return to it if you have a new audio project or something going on.
Hello Larry, thank you for your time and effort, you changed my view and my knowledge increased a hunderd fold. I hope to reread your notes and advice for many many years to come. I hope I can still let you know about my progress via e-mail:) Have a great day! Your student L.deJong
Woah....I hope the videos don't get deleted ? I found your videos by accident, and to be honest because of you, I found even more drive to test stuff. Trust me, I find myself sufficiently nuts on these subjects. Are you on Facebook by any chance? You sir, are a wise gentleman, I will miss you.
Thanks for the content.. Do you believe analog sound has power to heal? Ive been fascinated by old world technology and in one particular subject. The gigantic pipe organs in ancient houses of worship all over the world. I do find the science of sound very compelling. How much does it cost to have a analog audio experience good enough to make me sign up. That being said you unlocked a memory of being in a trailer back in the 70's with a drug dealer who was spending all his money on high level analog audio. He pulled a few albums out of the largest collections of albums I've ever seen privately and it was Peter Frampton, Steely Dan and Doc Watson Then And Now album. I was blown away even at the Doc Watson was heavenly and I wasn't even a bluegrass fan ... I've never heard audio that good before and I haven't since. I knew he was a serious bard by the way he cleaned and handle the albums. You would have thought they were polished crystal mirrors for a NASA satellite and when that needle touch down to that vinyl it kinda felt like a space mission. I wish I could experience it again .. I guess it's never too late but seems so daunting and expensive Your vid and remembering that day back in the 70's has me thinking I need to explore a way to pull this off
Hey Larry, just stumbled onto your RUclips channel and was disappointed to see that you had decided to call it quits. It's difficult to find unbiased audio advice on RUclips so your channel seemed to be a bit of fresh air. I was also intrigued by your favorable opinion of Vandersteen speakers, of which I own the 2Ci and 3A Sigs. Lastly, I really enjoy your matter-of-fact style and your willingness to "call them as you hear them". I'll avail myself to your archived videos and wish you happy listening ... thanks for helping us in the audio community.
I miss Larry’s content. But I completely understand his choice. Audio is a niche market and even in that niche market there is a ridiculous mainstream going on. They will never understand the magic of high efficiency and tuuuubes
Just discovered your channel today. Sorry to hear that you're going. ☹️ Looking forward to checking out your past videos. W Maybe I'll find a suggestion for an amp to drive a Maggie LRS+. 🤞Best Wishes in your endeavors.👃
It's a freaking amazing piece of kit. I replaced my very expensive setup with the technics su-r1000 due to health issues and I needed something simpler to use. It's a kick ass amplifier
if you cant beat them, join them.... start a 2nd review channel earn some money, you can do both, hifi is your passion, caring and helping is who you are youll die slowly inside if you quit both
I have dealt with most gear I talk about, owning it or hearing it at friends places. But I have tried everything now, and since I will never be able to own and Ongaku Kensei which is the amp I want the most, then I will just settle with my OTO and Technics su-r1000 amp.
Its time to bring the channel back man. The hobby needs a deeper, more meaningful interpretation. I think that 2024 is the year that the pendulum begins swinging back.

Damn, feels like the end of an era, thanks and good luck with whatever you do going forward.
Thx for talking up the AN Oto Phone SE Sig. I bought a used one and love it.
Thank you for all your help! I started my journey with Audio Note ANE-LX and now will end with Klipsch Cornwall IVs driven by Leben integrated 300xs!🤝😊
Hi, I just bought a pair of Cornwall IV to pair with a 300B. How different are the Klipsch’s to the AN? Thanks

I hope to see your review of Technics su r1000
He's reviewed it on his blog

I’m wondering Soulnote A2 is also a special product like the Technics..?
@@nicktube3904 it is...
I had the opportunity to compare both amplifiers on Finkteam KIM speakers and I have to say that the Soulnote is the next big thing in the HIFI world.

Did you handle any equipment you talk about?
