I have had the pleasure over the years of playing the ESP standard series Scythe,also the Alexi Laiho signature model by LTD ( my friend owns 4 of them which l have played often) and several other ESP/LTD V models and l own a Jackson USA RR1 Randy Rhoads V so l can compare the ESP/LTD to the incredible Jackson USA and my opinion is very favourable,the ESP Scythe is beautifully made,the neck is incredible with a gorgeous sleek but chunky neck,EMG 81on each bridge and a floyd rose or copy on the LTD Laiho. The Laiho guitars can be very loud colourwise,Black with vivid yellow,pink and green stripes along the body,also available in white and a limited edition in a Children of Bodem Reaper graphic. The LTD AL-200/600 are obviously of a lower quality of hardware to the real ESP V but the AL-600 is the one you should get,absolutely incredible value for the cash,emg 81 and really high quality construction. Truly if you can get one,go for the LTD Alexi Laiho AL-600 V,it is amazing! I am eventually going to buy one(just have'nt got around to it!) but as soon as l do we will do a full review,thanks for your support!

Pau Ferro used to be well regarded. Suhr still considers it a quality wood and even put it on his signature guitar.
