- I am uploading a series of videos explaining what I like and don't like about my guitars and showing you how they sound.
In this video I will be going over my LTD EC-1000 Deluxe Guitar. I have sold it, so no need to comment asking me about it.
I hope you find them helpful and if you do be sure to LIKE this video! =)

I had a epiphone les paul standard, the sound is nowhere near EC-1000, saving money to buy a ec-1000 now thank you
Those active emgs man. They sound so good.
Awesome review man! Thx! Sickkk riffs too!
Oh man those are some killer tones. Going to buy this guitar this week.
God that’s a beautiful guitar sounds really good
I heard "through struggle" and "price we pay".... I like you
Haha! XD
And room 409, hearts burst into fire by BFMV and never too late by 3DG
Nice cover man ! What is the serie if your amp?
i have an ibanez sa. when i had it in for repair, i borrow this from the store. Amazing sound! i record on a homestudio, and this guitar lifted tracks immensly. Yes its trickier to play, but i think about buying because of its amazing tone
Great stage axe for sure. The design is light and fast and looks like a thinline LP. The sustain in EMG is amazing. I bet Gibson wishes they thought of it.
nice stuff bro.. keep it up
So the ringing thing it's a problem with alot of guitars. My tempest has passive pickups I don't really notice the background noise when playing (maybe cause I'm old with old ears) but when I record it it's just messy sounding. I guess it's just a problem with mixing new more sensitive tack with traditional teck
beautiful guitar!
4:11 that’s actually from the strings on the headstock. I have to use a hair scrunchie on mine.
I have the same problem.. do you find that the FR style bridge is as flat as say a Tele or Strat... I prefer the flatness over the LP style bridges... just easier to play for me
Regarding that raised bridge, I didn't even notice it during the hour or so I was in the shop trying it out. It was only after I got it home that I started to notice it. Really strange as I don't like guitars with that feature. Love the guitar anyway.
4:52 he starts to play, you’re welcome! :)
👇🏻
He also changed his shirt :D
I got mine for 300 the other day. The action was super high because the guy messed with the guitar but I lowered it and it’s great.
How would you clean the gold part of the guitar?
2:35 its cuz you're first guitar was probably an s type body and its different... i personly love that kind of bridge, maybe cuz I started with a Gibson...
What was the last rift you played? Sounded really nice!
Dylan Valentine intro on hearts burst into fire - bullet for my valentine
The locking tuners act like locking tuners and do exactly what they're supposed to do so no idea what you meant. Locking tuners don't lock pegs; they lock the string in to mitigate slippage..
im happy you said ibanez that way. waaayyy closer to how you're creally supposed tp say it. just gotta get the ñ
In two years you are the first to say that! lol!
Except it's a Japanese company and its never been spelled or spoken without a Spanish alphabet or inflection. We've been saying it how the Japanese founders/owners say it in English. The company started out making Spanish style guitars using the name Salvador Ibanez and then dropped the Salvador. I'll stick to saying it how the Japanese people that started and run the company say it.
@@michaelmiller7909 you're almost right. The name was Ibanez Salvador, not Salvador Ibanez.
Michael Miller That means it’s a SPANISH last name and the Japanese are saying it WRONG. I don’t care that they own the company. Don’t be ignorant. Know the RIGHT way of things, not the “everyone is doing it this way” of things. The original poster is correct.
@@isaiahmarquez9717 incorrect
rock on! I just picked one up for 500, it's really comfortable, I love the action on the neck wow. but Im not really a fan of: the bridge pickup is soo close to the neck there is barely enough room for my hand to place between both pickups while also muting. I always end up resting my palm on top of the bridge pickup and picking over the neck pickup. just not ideal or comfortable. Im looking at my other guitars with tune o matic bridge and they are set WAY farther back on the guitar. anyone else have this issue?
also... the EMG sound.I might replace with passives.
I have one just like that one and it's my favorite guitar. I recently bought a boss katana mk2 50 and it sounds great through it.
Que música e esta quando voce toca a guitarra ao 6;04
my bridge EMG stock pickup output no sound at all! what should I do to fix it quick?
1. Check the battery. 2. check the wiring.
I don't get why some of you laugh or find funny the way he pronounces Ibanez. It's actually the right way, since it comes from a spanish name. His pronunciation is correct.
Thank You! Haha!
I just said it that way because my Mom taught me to say it like that. Honestly, if the Ibanez staff say "I Bu Nez" then I'll say it that way.
But man!.... I think 2 people out of the 50,000 views have agreed with me! haha! XD
Cool!
You are saying it correctly we have just all said it wrong for so long it's stuck Ibanez pronounces it tge way you do. It gets its name from Salvador Ibanez
No, the Japanese say it with a hard I (eye) in English and it's the same phonetic sound in Japanese (auibanizu). Watch a video of the Japanese people from ibanez and listen before you try to prove your intellectual superiority on the internet like a douche.
@@mkidd0021ify yeah that's what they named the company because they were making "Spanish style" guitars. Not from an actual person. 😂
I bought this one yesterday \m/ !)
Cherry Pie Nice!!
So did you like it? I'm thinking about buying one
Havin this guitar for a little while, quite happy with it, very strong, solid feel in playin it..not as great clean sound as a gibson of course but it s definetley a guitar that suits for many kinds of music, especially if u wanna go heavy 😉😎
Yeah I really liked it and I miss having it now that I sold it. But at the time I wasn't playing guitar at all and I really wanted a new camera that I now use in my videos... I don't know why I did that though, I could have afforded a $600 camera DX
@@MattieKB maybe cauze u have so many guitars ahah (lucky u) or like u said u prefer ibanez maybe...i also have a gibson les paul gold top vos 57 reissue...fantastic instrument but definitley i prefer the neck of the ec1000
@@MatthewScarMetalhead Yeah, I had a bunch back then, but then I sold some and some got damaged in a flood and I went all the way down to just 1 guitar and had to start all over! But I have a nice Ibanez RG now! =)
Feeling sad watching this. I've had that same Crate amp since maybe 1995. It completely died out on me a couple days ago. Fuse and speaker are okay, not sure what happened. It's nowhere near a "godlike" amp, but had such sentimental value.
3 Days Grace! Nostalgic :)
Bullet bullet bullet !!! I'm actually want to buy an eclipse do you recommend them ?!
One thing you might want to do with hearing the strings too much is lower those EMG's. They are really high output and I don't think they sound the best extremely close to the strings like EMG recommends. I put mine about even with the fretboard. It's still close to the strings but it lowers it just enough that it's still high output but it lowers the output enough that there is more clarity and a little less of hearing strings ringing.
Actually the emgs are VERY LOW output with low magnetic pull. The actual output comes from the active circuit AFTER the vibration of the strings gets caught by the pickup. Active pups have the least magnetic pull of all passive pickups.
That's partly correct. EMG's do have a low magnetic pull, but they are not low output. They are very high output. Backing them away helps. I'm aware of how EMG works, but we aren't talking about magnetic pull, we are talking about output, you lower the EMG, you get less output still. They are high output by their internal pre amp, you back it off you still get less output, just like a regular pickup. Some people find them way too high output and keep them all the way down in the pickup ring. It definitely sounds more clear that way. If you put them too close to the strings there is not much clarity as the output is way too high.
So, I don't see why the way EMG's work have anything to do with this subject. Having low magnetic pull doesn't equal low output, it also doesn't mean that pulling them further away from the strings does nothing. It obviously does. Especially the regular EMG's which are higher output than the X series, you will get too much mush playing rhythm with them right up against the strings.
Agreed. I thought you wanted to avoid string pull. Misreading on my part.
Michael Goudis No, was just speaking about output. I used to keep mine as close to the strings as possible without hitting them like EMG recommends and honestly that makes them sound like crap. You can back them off a long ways and they sound a lot better.
As far as passive pickups, in my Jackson Adrian Smith and Fender HSS Strat I keep the hum buckers about 1.6mm. They are actually closer than my EMG's are but they will string pull if they go any higher than that.
no he needs a noise gate. Thats all
Guitars have come a long way since this design in the 50's. A super strat is so much easier to play and you can put any kind of pickups you want on it. Sure we all admire Jimmy Page and stuff but equipment has come light years since then.
I am looking for a similar guitar but I don't know this brand yet. I have never played on a LTD ESP. I currently own a Fender Stratocaster. Any suggestions?
Katja Saez it depends on what you want to play. For example the guitar in this video is great for metal while a stratocaster is better for rock and jazz, softer music. If you're looking to play metal definitely check out ESP, schecter, or ibanez. If you're playing softer music and using clean tones a lot then sticking with fender would never hurt.
Katja Saez You can find these used for 450-600. Consider one of these for that price.
Trent F I am European. Where I live, finding this guitar brand new is already really difficult, let alone find a used one. Too bad though. Thanks for the advice anyway.
try a jackson slat
I use this guitar in a blues-rock band, no distortion. if you have the tone and eq right the tone is beautiful clean. it has a nice round tone. you just have to know how to use emg's
I too like BFMV :)
What gauge string did you use on this guitar?
I personally like 11s on standard tuning. (ernieball power slinky) 11-14-18-28-38-48
haha you are a BFMV i like them tho! i also have the Ltd ec-1000 i Love the guitar :) keep it up man
Nice bfmv and 3dg
Does anyone knows the song he plays at 5:20 seconds?? I liked the riff
As I Lay Dying - Through Struggle
Muy bueno , traigan la guitarra ltd a la Argentina
tger's no serial number?
this guitars are made in korea?
Pat Gaete yes
What's your tune?
What song is that he plays at 5:29?
As I Lay Dying - Through Struggle
What model crate amp is that
GX 30M. Its outdated but gets the job done. I personally want a newer amp.
4:11 Are you sure about that?
Absolutely sure! Needs something like felt to mute it. :/
Ok, don't have this problem with my Les Paul, but probably you could put small pieces of fabric on the saddles or tape some fabric around every single strings at this area(cut some stripes out of an old T-Shirt and use some black electrical tape). I guess if you do it right, it wouldn't interfear with the amazing look of the ESP.
is it me or does he sound like Matt Damon?? great video, thinking about getting it!
Haziq Don I have this guitar and it’s hands down the best sounding and feeling one. It feels really fast and the pickups are amazing. They are really good for metal and have a very smooth clean sound
What was the song at 6:15 please?
Bullet for my valentine - Hearts burst into fire
Playing satriani stuff while palm muting on this guitar is made to crush balls. Love the guitar
What's the name of the first song?
Jiroh Xian Leaño At 5:17 is “Hand of Blood” by Bullet for my Valentine. anything before that was just messing around.
What's the song you we're playing at 5:14
Hand of Blood - Bullet For My Valentine
=)
Song at 5:30 pleaaaase ! :)
Through Struggle by As I Lay Dying. =)
What song at 6:03?
Mr Boss Never Too Late by Three Days Grace.
They play it with an acoustic, but I like how it sounds on the electric with effects!
Yeah, not a big fan of that neck joint and thankfully the necks of the newer 1000's have been redesigned.
i have the EC-200
DONALD J. TRUMP What the fuck?
As I lay dying?
4:53 WHAT TUNING WAS HE IN?!?!?! IT'S SOOOOOO LOW!!!
Drop B =)
@@MattieKB DAMN!! So the 6th string goes down to B right?
@@MattieKB I heard there is a tuning called drop G... Is that possible? I would call it "The laundry line tuning".
@@Mark-ix4zt Of course! 8 string guitars are usually tuned lower. Usually the highest they ever tune the thick string is a F# and commonly a low E. Or even lower....?

I wish I could afford that guitar but it's way out of my price range.
I'm gonna buy it next year!
I've used this same guitar for eight years now and they're amazing. makes me not ever want a different one lol.
People laughing about your pronnunciation are so ridiculous. He is pronnouncing right, guys. You are the ones that are doing it wrong. Ibanez is a spanish name, and that's how the rest of the world calls this brand.
Wrong.. the Japanese that started and run the company pronounce it as we all know it in English. Auibanizu in Japanese. They started as "Salvador Ibanez" making "Spanish style" guitars. It's not actually named after someone. Watch any video of the people at ibanez saying it.... There's your answer. It's a Japanese company so I'll say it however they do in either my or their native tongue. There's nothing Spanish about it at all.
Those tones are good but I can't help looking at your toes.
Now to get a real amp

Song at 6:03 ? Pleaseeeeeee!!!! :'v
It is "never too late" by "three days grace". Its originally played with an acoustic guitar, but I liked how it sounded with the effects!
Thanks broo!! It does sound good with those effects, thanks for the info. Good videos btw keep it up!! :,)
E BON S
lol @ eeeeeeebonez guitars lol Ibanez = eye - ben - ez FYI ;)
he is actually saying it right and we are saying it wrong, Ibanez was founded in Spain by a luthier named Ibañez long ago (with the I sounding like eeee) and then bought by Japanese Investors, the Japanese took the tilde of the ñ because they thought it would deter westerners from trying out their product, thus Ibañez became Ibanez, a beautiful sounding Spanish last name became a different word, it became a Japanese word, it's now a house hold name to musicians, it is actually a great story any true Ibanez fan would love , FYI
Dickweed, it's I, long I and it's an arch top like a Les Paul. If you don't like it that's cool, but at least know what you're talking about
Yeah Ibanez!!!!! ahahahah
Blah blah blah...let's hear it dude
More playing fewer words man.
They cost about 1129€ now hahah
Ebanez!! Ibanez. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol nice crate.....
I ban ez
Not the worst review ever but it would be less cringy to watch if you knew your gear better
Steven Moose Ok dipshit. Get yourself an ec-1000 and make a review outta of it.
lots of BFMV
hahaha! YUP! They were one of the very first bands that got me into metal!
MattsLifeAdventures it's not metal though. ;)
Good video.
secret weapon to any tone, emg81
Jesus loves you!!!
Eeee bah nezzz 🤮
Not a fan of these guitars as I personally dont like there fuzzy sound guess all you can get when you cant afford the real les Paul. I personally own both.
No reason to spend $900 on an Ltd when you can get a prestige ibanez for $999.
Trent F you can get these bitches used for 450/550 and its hands down the best guitar ive ever played. i do love ibanez too tho
@who cares a year later i take back everything i said lol, i sold it and got a gibson les paul traditional its a million times better
@who cares price diffence isnt much considering i got the ec-1000 new and the les paul used... ive sold off all my ltd stuff. especially now that they are made in Indonesia. i wouldnt buy one if i needed a guitar. theres a lot of great options out there
@@jacksonelder8519 I have an Epiphone LP.
What did you prefer about your Gibson over the LTD? The high fret access on the LP is really bad, that's pretty annoying for me, and not very ergonomic overall. BTW it has great tone
Hard to find a review of any guitar where the players DOESN'T play metal. :-( Americans !
I just got a 1000S and it’s the best damn guitar ever
Bfmv. I wanted to come in for the solo so bad at the end
