Thank you Bob. U were right. I have a newer model vertical 8 EDS and after you tank off the bolt holding it in there is a gate that u have to take off. I had it on backwards. Thank you for the guidance.
The service key is fake lol. It took me a few hours to figure that out. There's three key holes 2 are near the coin mechanism and one is near the front door. The one meant to open and take off the lid for servicing is fake.
In order to get to the long bolt holding the coin slide I need the correct key to open the access panel. My tubular key that opens my whirlpool machines doesn’t work for my GE dryer. WHAT IS THE CORRECT KEY AND WHERE DO I GET IT.??? My access panel is identical to the one on the video… THANK YOU 🙏
THE CORRECT KEY IS THE ONE THAT CAME WITH THE MACHINE. IT WILL HAVE A NUMBER ON IT. That key must be ordered and is different from other machines. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Bob your video was great! How ever after changing the price is tried to put coins in and use the dryer. It worked bit it was extremely hard to push in and pull out. Think you can help?
Can you tell if it is bound up on something? There may be a piece that was put back on wrong, upside down, or backward. Try taking it apart and reassemble it one piece at a time. After each piece try the slide to see if that piece is causing you problems. Hope this helps.
My problem here is that the tray does not slide back. If I open the whole mechanism and lose a bit the screws it will work for 2 or 3 times but then the tray will get stuck again. If I tie the screw the tray get stuck, if I let it loose the screw I will have problem the coin does not go in. That suck!
If you plug it in the timer should automatically run through the cycle and end. At that point it will be reset. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching.

Bob... I am looking for the service key to open the lid on the same GE model that you demo. Please advise!

Hey Bob I'm from Laredo Texas you won't happen to have a video on how to change the timer
I don't know if this will help but it is worth a try. ruclips.net/video/2VeXC3SKvW8/видео.html
My coin slides have 5 slots. I want to change to 8. Is it as simple as just buying an 8 slot slide and replacing it?
That I’m not sure about.
5 to 8 lol thief
do you know if the MAytag and ESD coin chutes are interchangeable?
Not sure on that one. Thanks for watching.

That suck!
My problem is we had coins stuck and opened it and got coins out but now it does not shut off
It sounds to me like something is bent inside the mechanism causing it to stay on, or the timer is bad. Thanks for watching.
Do you know how to reset the timer?
If you plug it in the timer should automatically run through the cycle and end. At that point it will be reset. Hope this answers your question. Thanks for watching.
