I've ordered mine and as I was checking the fit, I realized that problem. Right now I have a standard front carrier and with suspensions compressed, get good field of view and good clearance. But with this carrier, no compression, meaning either the bike is higher in the field of view, or front clearance is limited. I like your solution, I think I will use that too once I get mine. They can ship it with a lower factory "config" so that the platform is lower once raised, but still. I am thinking when I am off-road, I can always raise it to the max to clear obstacles, and then have it at that mid point heigth on regular roads. With your current setup, how high are the tires from the ground when raised ? So cool that you did a video on this. I had a bigfoot, now a kingstar.
I had about ten inches from the ground to my tires so it was tight on some roads in Baja! Overall put 10,000kms on it with no issues. I would recommend upgrading the bolts, I used grade 8. I also had the low model as well. One other thing I did was cut about 2” off the receiver piece to get it closer to the truck to take some leverage off of it. Send a pic of your setup!

You need a drop hitch adapter or a lower hitch for that bike. That rack was never designed to be used in the lower position. Needs to be jacked all the way up.
Dude, you t-boned a baby G 😅 just kidding. I have a whole channel based on the bmw g310gs. I bought a black widow trailer hitch for the back of my truck and it works amazing. Roll it on and roll it off.
I agree with other comments you’re blocking your radiator you’re blocking your turning signals you’re blocking your lights. I don’t think a highway patrol is going to pass you by.
I have the same hitch on my truck. I liked how it fit and was hidden in the bumper. I realized after, I should have got the lower hitch that comes out through the lower valance. Anything added to this hitch needs a drop. Just wondering if you weighed the truck and camper. I found my F350 didn’t have enough payload for my camper. Have it for sale and going for an F550 to have enough payload to do something similar. Nice rig!
Warning warning my friends I highly recommend beefing up the square stock tubing I seen two videos where it broke off on two different style of hitch hauler motorcycle haulers😢 and the motorcycles were on the ground with the square tubing broke straight off coming out of the receiver hitch
I hear you! I did put 8500 miles on it with no issues on some really rough roads throughout Baja! However I’m looking at a new system that will take some of the weight from the tow hooks so look for that video!

@@cp-islander I'm an inventor here's a solution to beef up the roll on RAM Style motorcycle receiver hitch hauler make it a three-point connection put a small custom receiver on the left side of the bumper and Far Over on the right side underneath the bumper where you can extend a square stock or a pipe inserted in the two extra receivers, running out underneath the channel that holds the motorcycle you will have the one main receiver in the center and two smaller ones one on the left and one on the right side it would be super strong and stable in well worth the money for the Safety and Security of everyone including your bike after seeing two of them broken off on video in motorcycles laying on the ground Square stock snapped off in front of the receiver
Sorry, I think putting that heavy of a bike on your front suspension is not a good idea. Especially with a camper already in the bed of the truck, (a small trailer would be a better idea.) That big of a bike might overheat the engine by reducing air flow into the radiator.
Bike is only 310cc and weighs 374lbs. Truck is a F350 diesel so should be able to handle the weight. My only concern is air flow. Will test it out and if it’s a problem will figure something else out.
Lmao! It’s 500HP Turbo diesel with 1000lbs of torque! You have no idea what you are talking about... Do you even know what F-350 means? It’s a spring rating, load capacity. This truck has more power and heavier duty springs than my first bobtail dump truck. I have an F-350 that hauls a bulldozer AND a small excavator at the same time! Its a dually axle, but the springs are exactly the same. An F-350 means it has springs rated for 27,000lbs, dually or single axle, no difference... That truck doesn’t even know that bike is up there.., It could carry 4 motorcycles provided the carrying system itself were rated for 1200lbs, or whatever it would be... But it’s not going to exceed TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS! LOL!! Some people tend to develop beliefs, and try to push them off as facts, when clearly they know NOTHING at all, because they don’t do their research. Stay uneducated if you wish, but don’t try and keep everyone around you uneducated.
Just wondering what do you have an issue with? It’s not perfect but it does work. No over heating truck handles the weight the only real issue is there’s a shadow at night from it.

Driven 5,000km so far haven’t been pulled over once!
Also was driving across the desert when it was 30c again had no issues. If I do have any issues I will let everyone know!

Unless this complies with the jeep manufacturers specs, your insurance will be null and void.
