Exactly the same stages every year for >5 years now. It starts with “stability”, adds some “flagship new features”, then devolves into a pile of new crap that’s never fully deployed and cleaned up.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I wish they would add walkie-talkie features to the iPhone and not just limit that ability to the Apple watches. That would be huge for me! I have more of my wish list also but can’t be too greedy.
I might be the only one, but I wish they would make the photos better. I wish you could move photos. So once you remove a photo from all photos and move it to a folder, it would no longer show up under all photos but only under the album you moved it to. It would clean up the photos and make them manageable.
I hope the next gen AppleTV includes ability to store movies on device so we can watch movies when I take it with us in the camper without using WiFi or hotspot.
This is something that shouldn’t be locked to the next gen Apple TV, the current gen has 64-128gb of storage which if used mainly for shows should be able to store a decent amount
In iOS 19 I would like to see stability as well as minor features thrown in. I think we have gotten some pretty good features over the last years so I believe it’s time to focus on stabilizing them.
after Apple made RCS finally avaliable samsung killed the feature on all there galaxy phones and i am having touchscreen issues with 18.2 i hope this update of ios 18.2.1 fixes it
Also, I do not want a folding iPhone. I also don’t want curved glass. I don’t care if it has a small bezel. Wild fashion is somewhat important. I’m more of a features person.

Here is a bug for you in 18.2 After totally resetting my iPad, and then doing a hard reboot / restart, widgets which I have gotten rid of (the right way) keep reappearing on my home screen. I have to keep getting rid of them! Someone told me others were also experiencing this issue, so I am guessing it is a bug. Has anyone else here experienced this issue?
They should be working on stability all year long. New releases every year with new features are also very important. People get excited for the “new” stuff. No one gets excited about stability. It’s expected and I’m sure they are working on it all the time. I’m on a beta and don’t think it’s unstable. Sure it’s not always perfect but I know that going in.

Yes, but it doesn’t, scroll up and down in the settings app and it’s clearly not always 120hz, just as it isn’t in many other apps, we should have the option to have it on all the time..

Not gonna lie, the antireflective coating is my most wanted feature on iPhone. How ever Samsungs antireflective coating isn't good enough to make the phone usable outside in sunny conditions from my experience. wasn't proMotion here to save battery life in the first place, being able to reduce display refresh down to 1Hz on some conditions and up tu 120Hz when needed ? turning it Off to save battery seems counterproductive.

I got a new 13 inch iPad Pro for Christmas. I’m loving my new iPad Pro pretty good. When I watched your video months ago unboxing the iPad Pro 13 inch and 11 inch, I figured that I would go for the 13 inch and I waited until Christmas Eve to trade in my 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 inch for the iPad Pro 13 inch. This is funny. Apple literally created the all touch screen smart phone as we know it today. The displays won't be more efficient, because that's what is in 16 Pro/Max. They are using M14 OLED (Samsung panels only) where deuterium was added to RED pixel. Also the brightness and efficiency improved by 20-30% compared to M13 (S24U). M15 is not coming next year. Just even numbers on iPhone are introducing big changes to display. First was M12 on 14 Pro... 15 Pro still used M12. And now we have M14 on 16 Pro/Max with Samsung screens. 16 Pro/Max with LG are using other roadmap dedicated just to LG own improvements aka RSM OLED material with improved green pixel. Meanwhile green and blue was already improved on M13. In general if you have iPhone with LG screen - you are unlucky. More than 50% Pro Max are LG.

Why do the final releases of iOS always worse than the last two betas in a series? 18.2 has been pretty terrible with Apple CarPlay not working properly and apps periodically freezing. Apple TV has a tendency to glitch where it thinks the remote is constantly pushing a button. It’s definitely not the remote. Stability over the holiday was the goal because of traveling, but that definitely wasn’t the case. On to iOS 18.3 it is.
@ no chance I use my 16 pro max to its full potential and never will. But I do like the 120hz. What do you think I’d be missing out on mostly? I just use it standard. As a phone. As a camera and a bit of scrolling really oh and battery life I like too so I’d just settle for the plus model I suppose.
I have already switched to Apple for a Galaxy S24 Ultra since Apple has never made me want to with its iOS 18, so now I will try something new and I hope I don't regret it.

The xs models are getting almost nothing about the x and xr should not be supported due to the lack of premium hardware
My meager SE 3rdGen battery is anxious about iOS 19. I'm hopeful some stability also comes with some efficiency.

Ever since iOS 18.2, my iPhone 12 Pro Max has lock screen flickering when I wake the screen to unlock it.

No because 120 Hz uses more power than 60 Hz. It can still slow down below that.

Ios 12 was one of the best “modern”IOS versions. 15 was ok too. I also like ios 10.
