Jo's just delivered a script-- after a week. And what she'll do is she'll kind of riff off notes and she'll create a whole new series of things within that screenplay, which take us off in all sorts of different tangents. So, she's like a sort of volcano of ideas. And the process was really paring down, tuning, finding ultimately the form that would best become a movie. And she's a really quick learner so, pretty much after several months of that process she kind of got the form really, really quickly. And realized that it was about paring down and simplifying, rather than adding absolute new sequences and new ideas all the time. I'm not so sure Hermione is ESTJ as some have typed her. She comes across bossy and domineering as an ESTJ might. She does have this thing about not wanting to break school rules. JK Rowling has said Hermione is an exaggerated version of her younger self. I consider myself an INFJ 1w2 tritype 125 and I see many similiarities with myself and Hermione. Her knowledge seeking in the library is type 5 traits. How many ESTJs are found spending a lot of time in the library and reading? ESTJ may be a 1, 3, 8 etc but 5 tends to be more introverted. Type 1 is about being good and not corrupt. She has an ideal of being the perfect student and excelling in school. She may think some rules are stupid but early in the film she sticks to perfectionistic tendencies of sticking to rules. If using Fe, she may not want to displease her teachers. Her perfectionism loosens up a bit hanging with the boys. 1 tends to see errors, room of improvement, and wanting to correct. She seems to have a 2 as she is often helping people. The whole spell correction scene is very 125. JK just took it to an exaggerated expression of persnickety, elite know it all for character entertainment and complexity. I wouldnt have been so snobby about it and used more gentle Fe. But Hermione has that feistiness of a type 1 that I can relate to. Type 1 INFJs have this perfect idealized vision with their Ni and they can be tenacious holding on to it. That vision is their babies. It seems that a difficult early life can manifest in intensive attention to (or pressure on) one's 8th function, such that the 8th function _appears_ to be dominant. If that is the case, perhaps she is an ISFJ, with Ni in the 8th slot. Could the SJW/political bent be more about unhealed Si (or an Si-Ti 1st and 3rd function loop) than about Fi dominance or convictions? When she talks about how the reader can always return to the world of Harry Potter and feel "at home," I can't help but imagine that she, too, has used it for this purpose, since the _reality_ of her early "home life" did not offer the comfort and refuge an ISFJ needs.
