Lolll I’m an ISTP and i had an INFP friend in high school who confessed that she first approached me because she saw me laying in the bleachers with my arms covering my eyes and thought I was lonely and depressed… I was literally just sleeping
Loved the ISTP one.. while the INFP is seeing a broken, silent, sad person, here I am trying to calculate what is the most cost-effective option: Trying to survive the day with no milk or stopping being lazy and go out to buy it.
@@edennis8578 I think that she is talking about the tendence to minimize lost, instead of going out to the world to gather resources, something that INTPs (my type) also do =(
INTP: "Ahh, finally someone who sees where all these possibilities are going, and the problems they'll cause... What do you mean, you're 'trying to figure out how you FEEL about them?'"
As an INFP, I feel flattered that you INTPs see us as an equal in that regard... Especially since you guys are stereotyped as being the smart ones, lol! I can then think that maybe I have some of that smarts myself (not at the same level as you, but still). Speaking of which, I've have a kind of similar line of thinking on you INTPs: "Wow! We're a lot alike! We both collect random knowledge we don't really need and both seems to end up geeking out on this same hobby that we think nobody would like. You're like me if I was logical and I'm you if you thought more through feelings."
@Hu E. INTP would be the logical choice, but I think Kristin likes to mix things up so an extrovert next feels more likely, maybe the ENFJ will be analysing everyone!
I can sum up the ISTP's thoughts on the other personalities for everyone, to save time: "sigh, sigh, sigh, dramatic sigh, eyeroll, sigh, eyeroll, blank stare, sigh, eyeroll, sigh, blank stare, are you an alien?, you're ok, bro let's roll.
Oh! So when my ISTP brother was staring blankly into the fridge for 3 minutes straight saying he was thinking about the milk situation, he really was thinking about the milk , and not psycho analyzing his childhood traumas. Glad I didn't ask him anything ... Phew!
@@jana5686 Totally. And seeing our whole life and mistakes in a drama movie in front of our inner eye. I'm an ENFP btw, have some experience with that
From an INTJ to all the INFPs: I love you guys! Not only do you make me laugh harder than anyone else. You also make me smile, and have brought joy and spontineity in my life that I didn't think was possible. Man or woman, you guys are amazing and bring out the best in me (most of the time)
Sometimes it would be nice if you could say something like that directly to our faces. I like you INTJ fellas but sometimes it's pretty hard for me as an ENFP
@@Sophie-vw5ol One of my best friends is an INFP. He has a childlike outlook on life that I often find charming and silly. I REALLY need that in my life. But... I also sometimes feel like I'm corrupting his sense of wonder with my sardonic, dark, distorted and sometimes outright disturbing sense of humor. I am also pretty irritable, and I have hurt his feelings more than once unfortunately😓. And yet our friendship soldiers on. He has a very forgiving nature and tremendous curage that I actually admire, and I've let him know that! We are quite an odd pair of ducks. Both very creative, intelligent (if I may say so) and somewhat outsiders that tend to shy away from, and make fun of shallow outrageous extroverts.
@@Sophie-vw5ol mostly yes, there are also differences in worldview between me and most ENFPs, I know only one exception who is easier to communicate / relate to (maybe they are mistyped, when they are an exception), but most of you I do know are hard to understand and not really relatable. And some seem to either dislike me on some level, and there's one who was kinda obsessed with me and intimidated by me at the same time, but they were huge people pleaser (what annoys me as much as dogs, for same reasons) and did unethical things, lied around to be liked by everyone, misused their position and leaked secrets, and we aren't in contact anymore. It might be black sheep among ENFPs, though, since most I know are fine, just unrelatable.
As an INTJ: Wow! I've never felt so hot ;) INFPs are really pure and kind and i find them a visionary. They're one of the kindest types! (unlike us mostly known as villains :/ ) I know a few of them and i can say if they get open to you talking to them is really delightful. And at last another great video, very detailed, nice work❤
Check out Enneagram too if you like MBTI! (Also, hi. I'm an INTJ, too. ☺️) Also, my best friend is an INFP. We get along nicely. Most other people find me kind of intimidating.
One of my best friends is an INFP, just like me. Since we like pretty much the exact same things we both always feel like we are talking to an alternative version of ourselves XD At first, it feels a bit strange to realize that you're not the only weirdo on Earth, then you also realize that you finally have someone who understands you and how you feel about pretty much everything. But there, indeed, was a lot of awkward silences when we started talking XD
Funny all the female INFP's are always full of words....totally nothing to do with the fact that I'm a male ENFJ ;D Haha. A glass of wine also helps. I've literally seen INFP's just a tiny bit buzzed say "You know you are fun and easy to talk to right? Anyone ever tell you that?" lol.
ENTP: Threatens the INFP as a defense mechanism ENFP: Threatens the INFP by simply existing in their vicinity I love this "personality through XXXX eyes" series! Please make it a series? I'd love to se ENTJ next!
My sister’s an infp, and the infp talking to an infp at the end with the whole “you know that I know that you know etc” reminded me of a song my sister’s been singing a lot lately, the line goes “I feel bad about you feeling bad about me feeling bad about you feeling bad…” etc and it just sort of sums her up as an infp perfectly 😂😂
As an ENFP... I actually want to apologize now to all INFPs I have known until now for having causing without knowing an identity crisis or for making them redundant in their workplace n_ñU While they exasperate me when they dissapear for... weeks when I want to talk to them, I love INFPs, they're probably the only type that can follow my jumpy jumpy thinking habit, I can have the most hilarious conversations with them for hours, and they are sweet and fresh as an ice-cream n_n They're like me, but shyer and calmer :3 PD: I think ENFP view introverts as new friends to adopt XD XD
@@HexagonSun990 it's alright some people have different views and that's normal. Not all INFPs are the same and not all ENFPs are the same. Also they said "dislike" not hate which is something I really respect. Because I, as an INFP, also dislike how few INFPs can be so self-centred like they are the only person suffering in the world. But luckily that's an unhealthy behaviour that a person can overcome and most INFPs are better than that.
As an infp, I love entps. They're my favorite type. They can usually handle my weirdness and add to it, and are up for abstract discussions. I also love debating, so we can argue philosophy for hours. Plus my feeling-conscious logic compliments their logic-only logic and they get another view point
I have an ENTP brother (I'm an INTP) and the "can argue philosophy for hours" is soooo true! hahaha. We have a very similar logic to ENTPs, maybe you should add and INTP friend!, although they are funnier =/
@@Catralasarguido I cant find any INTPs! Usually, when I do find one, they're a little less willing to go with my nonsense if it doesn't follow a strict logic (Ti>Ne), but they're interesting enough that that doesn't matter. (also, here's a secret: INFPs dont usually notice funny. My ENTP is always making some sort of witty comment, but I didn't even notice he was funny, or care, until 3 months after I met him... I was laughing too, just didn't make the connection lol. In another case it took me 5 years. So INFPs wont care if your brother is funnier)
@@sourgrapes7482 INTP here. Nice to meet you? Can confirm that I like rational arguments. Also, from the view of an INTP with an INFP friend, whom I have debated with in the past, debates with one can be frustrating from my side. If I'm debating, it's mostly because I want to explore, teach, and learn. I know I'm capable of making good points, and other people's perspectives are always interesting. There's a lot to learn from each other in a debate. One time, I was debating with my INFP friend about a show he liked, but I only made it two episodes in. My point was that the show didn't do a good job at investing the readers in the main characters within the first two episodes, which is bad writing, while his argument was that it wasn't that important. I know with a certainty that this is right. While a have agreed to give the show a second chance, the hooks to the show weren't strong enough, proven by the fact that the show had a few crutches that were most people's reason for watching. I convinced everyone but him that I had a valid point about the audience needing to be able to connect to the main character and understand who he is, but he was too stubborn to really think about my point of view. It wasn't the exchange of information I would have liked for it to be. I gave a bit and accepted it might get better, but he didn't accept that I had a valid point and that frustrated me.
@@makaniwebb9358 Yeah, sounds frustrating. I differ from most INFPs (look I found a way to be special even within that box) in that when I argue, it isn't usually about what I believe in. (Thats when we get stubborn.) I play devils advocate for the sake of arguing and enjoy messing around with logic--not for logic's sake but for messing's sake. I dont ever cave in, but my logic usually holds, even against my ENTP debater friends. INFPs as illogical is an untrue stereotype; us as stubborn is not lol. It sounds like your INFP was just being immature. I hope you have better experiences in the future

Notes from a confirmed INFP!!! INTJ: Ouch. I do write fanfiction. And yes, with broody characters. (That said, the one I am writing right now I am pretty sure is a dark INFP.) ESTJ: "Not as disappointed as your parents are..." Yeah, my mom is an ESTJ. And when I don't clean stuff, or I'm lazy, it pushes her buttons so badly. ESFP: Nope. NOPE. NOPE. First off, I don't drink, and second, the second I hear "bar" or "club," although I will try not to be rude about it, I'm not going. ;-) INTP: There's this guy who works at my local bookstore/cafe that I think is an INTP. The amount of sheer social awkwardness that oozes off of him is amazing. I may be awkward in my own ways, but this is seriously like a shy version of Data trying to emulate the human OS. That said, online especially, I have great chats with INTPs because we tend to like a lot of similar science and geek topics. :-) ESTP: The ones I've met don't have a "stop" button. But then because of avoiding places where they are likely to congregate (see entries for "bar," "club." Also see "sales jobs"), I haven't had a chance to meet a lot of healthy ones. ISFP: I actually don't think I've had a lot of arguments with them, or maybe they didn't register that way because they're polite, we're likely to agree that it's OK to differ on aesthetics, and I was raised by wolves (Te-doms), hence it not registering as an argument. ISTP: The ISTP friend I had once actually said a ton, but it was online. Now THAT is who I had raging arguments with because a Ti-dom versus my Te-inf...yeah, that's not going to go well. "I say this works." "Uh, no, that falls apart in real life." "NO IT DOESN'T." How the hell do you argue with that when real-world evidence is like an affront to their sanity? XD ENFJ: Unfortunately haven't known a lot of healthy ones, but when I see healthy Fe-doms I do tend to worry about them, that they will extend themselves too far. People with Fe high up in the stack don't seem to be able to eventually draw the "I don't give a _____" line that I can do very easily when someone is draining me or causing drama that my poor little inferior Te gets sick of fast. ISFJ: ...I'm not trying to be self centered. If you're not interested you need to TELL me outright because I don't have Fe-radar. (But please no passive-aggressiveness. I don't do that. I'm not equipped to do it or reliably detect it, and it's dishonorable.) ENTP: Yeah, you're smooth, but random trolling and upsetting people on purpose (which, if you have Fe especially, you know you're having that effect) doesn't actually effect any useful change or bring anyone around to your position. And why would you want to invest that much time in it if you don't believe in it, and you don't want to actually convince anybody? (Actually, my ENTP female coworker is fascinating, but as she will attest, we have two VERY different thought processes and it can lead to some miscommunications until one of us finally has a breakthrough. But I actually do like that I can say what I want and hash those things out without it causing offense.) ENFP: Fun!!! :-D Though I don't think I'm the most original person, especially given what I enjoy writing the most (see entry for "fan fiction"), plus I tend to think that there's really nothing new under the sun...we just arrange the pieces differently. ;-) INFJ: Seriously, I talk about things in the abstract (or draw from my own experience, good or bad) to AVOID personal offense. And again, cut the passive-aggressive stuff. It's unbecoming. :-P (Thankfully, my cousin, who is possibly an INFJ, doesn't act like this...we have a great relationship.
Hello! Loved reading this detailed piece! I'm an ISFP and actually can totally related to the long-winded writing habits -- maybe it's because it's so enjoyable to think that someone might actually want to hear what's on our hearts! Even if it's just one person who enjoyed it as the others skipped on by... I know the INFP-ISFP connection can be hit or miss due to Ne-Se radio interference, but I personally find the INFP perspective fascinating and enjoy learning more about it, and I have quite a few friends who are INFP that seem to enjoy learning about my Se experience as well! I think the big connection point in these friendships is the shared Fi companionship and the mutual aversion to Te conflict. There ends up being so much harmony there that the Ne-Si versus Se-Ni in the middle don't seem to get in the way too much. I consider INFPs my "cousin type", sort of kindred spirits if that makes sense. For once, I can share my heart without hearing "stop being so sensitive", "you're taking it way too personally", or "you're making a big deal out of nothing"! INFPs just GET IT. I will add that I have similarly heartwarming connections with INFJs, although those friendships have a different flavor due to Fe-Fi synergy. But my main point is, while I may never be able to truly keep up with the wild and wonderful Ne, my humble Ni nonetheless enjoys the attempt! Keep on being amazing because there are those of us out there who really enjoy your company!
I think maybe the ESFJ only registers "nice feeling human" and that is their invite to talk. Actually being angry at them would offend them. Does ignoring them work?
That was long but interesting. Just a note : INFJ's do think and talk in the abstract too. Actually, I enjoy it a lot. So that was not the point she was making. And you are right about passive-aggressiveness it's not the best option but sometimes it's an automatic "defense" mechanism... By the way, you say that you are not equipped for it. But I stringy suspect my mother to be an INFP and she is ALWAYS being passive-aggressive or coming out like it. Do you have any idea/suggestion about it?
@@elisa4620 I’m not sure…I was brought up by Te-doms and had almost no Fe (let alone the healthy version) anywhere around in my family. So I think that may have an effect on how I act.
I agree, but INTP could generally look a little more homeless. The one where she's wearing the Boo hoodie that turns into an ad for the Boo app was my all-time favorite. Kristin really nailed the hopeful _"is this someone I could maybe connect with based on one of my esoteric interests?"_ look, immediately followed by the look of disappointed alienation and melancholic resignation to loneliness. Ironically, it maybe me feel less alienated and lonely.
As an ENTP, it is an interesting concept, how we are perceived by INFPs. Although I do not know if it is accurate or not. Maybe only an INFP could know. But even then, INFPs are not a collective so we might never know. Get ready for an Ne Ti rollercoaster of analyzis, lmao. But, from my perspective, the inteaction is quite interesting. I tend to find INFPs attractive, yet I know it won't work quite well. All Fi relationships I have had, work quite well at the start because I show my Fe, mostly. But then the Ti starts to creep up, because I can't have it hidden for prolongued periods of time. And from my experience, using Ti with Fi doms... it doesn't end well. Like they might value it at the start, but suddenly something happens where I might hurt them somehow without me knowing. And they begin to distance themselves from me. I ask what is wrong, and nothing. But they still distance themselves from me. After hurting some INFPs, I prefer to keep my distance. I still have plenty of INFP friends, who I mostly interact through my Fe. Some they are able to handle my Ti, so I do show it to them. But I know, they value my Ti, because it is not directed towards any of their values. the moment it is... well history repeats itself again. So I know I can't get close to them, because I do not want to hurt them. And the way Ti Fe works for me, is that I am able to analyze any and everything with complete and absolute lack of any emotional attachment or involvement. And the idea to me, of people having beliefs through feeling, is completely alien to me. So because of that, I might respect the Fi user, but not the belief, I never attack the person, but is extremely easy to analyze their value or belief without any constraint. Seeing things from any and every perspective, specially those that clash. So if you bring "x" belief, I might bring the opposing view, not to confront mind you. Because it is apersonal, I am completely detached, but to analyze if the belief stand through scrutiny. Having the correct belief is way more important, than proving a belief right. I am perfectly comfortable having no beliefs, because I rather not belief in anything than belief in the wrong thing. When thinking analyzing things, is as if I am simply a computer, making pro and con analyzis of everything. It is what I do 90% of the day, just analyzing and trying to understand the million ideas that pop in my head. But my connection and interactions with other people are everything to me. The only way i get to feel things is through other people, as if I am an sponge of emotions. So to me, hurting others, is as if I hurt myself. So my only true value, is having a positive impact on other people or at the very least, not hurting anyone. And the prospect of hurting INFPs, specially knowing they feel way more deeply, is too much to bear. So I simply keep my distance, despite feeling attracted to them. Maybe I feel attracted to INFPs, because they feel deeply, and I do not, but I feel through other people. So it is a window for me to feel through them.
Great video as always Kristin, I did not even finish to see it, when I wrote this comment. Because when ENTP came, my mind just spun into a million ideas, and had to share it, lmao.
@@HexagonSun990 Dunno, as a kid I was completely unaware of how people perceived me. And didn't even really cared to, tbh. In fact, thinking about, I do not really care much to this day. I do care if people like me or not, tho. But back then, I wouldn't even care if people liked me. I was incredibly independent and extremely curious. Not about the real world, but about anything. I would be the only kid in class, that would be extremely excited to read a scientific article in class. But somehow, I wouldn't care about school in the slightest, even if I loved learning. I wouldn't do any homework, like at all, even if it was extremely easy. And I would pass every class with exam grades alone. I would only talk about, random facts. I used to be a Ti machine as well, like an adult would say something I thought was wrong and I would be like "AcTuAlLy...". I wouldn't care about sports or even playing at all. I made some friends, but they all came to me. I was perfectly fine with people around me, or being entirely alone. The only things that would get me excited would be videogames and learning new things. I absolutely loved documentaries, even more so than cartoons. I only began caring about other people when I was around thirteen years old. And it was a shift of me not giving any shit, to suddenly wanting to be loved by everyone. At first i was passive about it, like me only fantasizing, of me being popular. But around fifteen, I began actually taking active steps to being popular. In high school, I got obsessed with being liked, until I realized I couldn't and got sort of depressed and stopped trying altogether. Went back to my Ti self, and mostly fantasized on being popular. I just remembered an story. When i was a kid, I had this stuffed monkey toy. I gave it name and talked to it. To anyone outside, they would think he is my imaginary friend. So a friend of my parents came to me and pretended the monkey was alive and started talking to it as well. And then said something like, "the monkey told me x". And I responded with a completely serious voice "This just an stuffed monkey toy, it can't talk back....". And I simply left and kept talking to the stuffed monkey as if it was alive, knowing full well it was just a toy. LMAO.
Reading what you wrote about not wanting to hurt other people was so sweet! I hope your INFP friends know that and appreciate you for it! -an INFP Btw I also pretended a lot that my stuffed animals were alive HAHA they were like my children to me xD ah and very interesting analysis! Very insightful, thankyou.
Pretty similar as an INTP. The main difference is - I've always cared what people think about me, or rather how much they like me. Not consciously, but also not entirely subconsciously; something in between. When I was 14, I slowly started thinking about it consciously, and came to care less what other people think. I mean, I now pay much more conscious attention to what people think and feel, but I use it for my own benefit instead of overthinking and letting it slow me down.
As an Infp who is terrified of entjs (please don't take it personally) this was highly accurate. The "Why am I like this" is just perfect. It scares me how ruthless they can be and how feelings and emotions barely affect them and how how they hold grudges.
I tell you ENFP and INFP really goes well to each other. The moment you put them together to have a conversation, you can really see ENFP bringing out the creativity of an INFP.
This is going to be the most popular episode of the series, because out of all the types, INFPs are the ones that like to hear others talk about them the most. I would know because of reasons.
Hahahaha the INTJ one was the best because I (INFP) married one!!!! I love INTJs, and I talk to so many INFPs that have the same strange fascination and draw to them. I think we are such a great personality match!
I met an ISFP in real life and this is soo true. We don't relate to each other, but still are kind of the same🤣this series is gold. And the ENFP tooo I love ENFPs! This video is your best one so far.
I have an ISFP sister-in-law, this exact dynamic + in-law competitiveness is a disaster lol 😅 I put a lot of effort into learning to let her be, but I'm not sure if she finally gets that i'm neither friend nor foe 🤦
I’ve actually become great friends with an ISFP for the first time in my life a couple of months ago If I had to describe our dynamic it’s “cotton candy” (ISFP friend) and “dark chocolate” (INFP, me) Both sweets but different from each other xD
These are so clever, that I need to watch them twice - the second time on .75x speed! I have to say though, I'm an INFP and my best friend is an ENFP and there's never any competitiveness between us at all - our super creative ideas are just too different, I find her incredibly supportive.
@@nikkidelong7183 Don’t worry, I’m also an INFP who is not going to have an existential crisis over my originality level. I just like not being the only oddball in a given room. 😂
I think it’s just how we (ENFPs) like to act as social chameleons, ENFP means suffering an accursed duality, being the definition of a walking paradox, the cute meets morbid, the reaper riding on the pink unicorn kind of existence. It means being childishly happy with that spark of madness in your eyes but also living in deep melancholy that noone is allowed to see because it’s only manageable when noone else knows about it’s existence 😂 dunno if all ENFPs are like this or just me but no matter how sad I get it’s ok as long as noone else acknowledges it. As long as it’s just locked inside my own mind I don’t have to reach in and pull it out but when someone notices it becomes uncomfortable being aware of it. Sorry for rambling, you may proceed to forget you ever read this 🤷🏻♂️
@Jade jana Smith I can see why someone would think that :) The poor, bewildered sensor, trying to keep up with the quick-fire wit of their NP friends, putting up with the puns and all the crazy ideas xD I’m an ISFP and let me tell ya, those (and more) are everything I love about NPs! Having a group of all NP friends would be a dream for me! Where do I find you all??? xD (Admittedly, I don’t leave the house much, so that might be a good first step :p)
(INTJ) Finally, someone notices the complex and inevitable INFP-INTJ relationship that happens while no one is watching. What other types don't realise is that we are prone to mad crushes on the INFP. Not sure about INTJ females to INFP males, but if anyone ever gets to see our weird icky side, it's probably the INFP female.

@@Braenn666 Same question to you: what do you think of singer from Bad Omens? Particularly any clip from this last year, The Grey and The Death of Peace of Mind are good examples
Lovely as always! I love this concept! From personal experience as ISFJ with INFP best friend for 8 years and other INFPs in my life, I must say though it's the other way around...we are the parents that adopt the INFPs. And from what I know from other ISFJ - INFP dynamics, ISFJs are the ones that always defend the INFPs so they see us as their saviour and only ones that understand and care, exactly because we ask them about themselves and show interest and stand for them against the ones that step on them...which are many...and we are there to fill the gap of their often abandoment fears... I think Frodo and Sam from LOTR describe perfectly our dynamic.
I completely agree with you. You do the adopting of us not the other way around and being very protective and I have always found that very helpful to not let people walk on me. (I am the best friend btw)
That’s interesting. I always took Samwise to be a submissive type (though principled). That said, I should note I really struggled getting through the books and…well, ROTK was too long. -Don’t shoot me; I’m an INFP with ADHD.
As an INFP that does in fact do mental self insert fantasies with INTJs, when I met one in real life, that’s literally what I thought of him at first, lol. You killed me from the very first cut and brought me straight back for the rest
Every person (INFPs included) has different preferences. I do have a male INFP friend whose wife is and INTJ but you're better off either asking the INFP in question or researching functions to see how a male INFP might react (if you are writing a story and this isn't an irl based question) 🤗 👍
I'm an INFP. This is the only MBTI skit on RUclips where I've been able to guess all 16 types correctly. I feel this is a testament to how accurate the video is, and you should be commended.
My ENFP friend is the best! She intimidates me with her creativity and her ability to just go with the flow, but her ability to make new ideas out of anything while still being willing to listen to my ideas that have been filtered very carefully through my value system is wonderful! She just has way too much energy... I can only spend a few hours with her, and I can tell she could keep on going forever. I always feel bad when I say I have to go 😔 ~Self proclaimed INFP
Don’t feel bad! When ENFP’s like hanging out with someone, we tend to drag out the time for as long as humanly possible. For example, staying to clean up after a party, being the last one awake at a sleep over, prolonging a date by suggesting coffee, etc.
@Al H OMG ENFP and I totally do this. When I'm enjoying myself I never want the fun to end! I can't count how many times I leave a friends house at like 3 in the morning because I just couldn't leave 😆
I keep making/adopting INFP friends which I love- me and my INFP friend basically talked through an entire plot for like several novels and maybe a tv show and a blockbuster cinematic (well in our heads)- we were in the middle of history and my teacher was displeased but I answered the question on the spot and apparently she “hadn’t thought of it like that before”- which can either mean that it’s way too far out there no one but a space cadet would think it but she’s just humouring me because I’ve typed her as an ISFJ and her lessons are covered with Fe fluff. Or that it actually is insightful and I’ve given her a new idea.
@@GwenhwyfarArt yep, it’s ENFP- I forgot to include it in the comment. But yeah I’m an ENFP, I’m not sure what that tells you but I’d be happy to give any further insight if you wanted it :)
@@Meg_intheclouds :P Makes sense! We are the sibling types of each other (I like to call the extroverted and introverted versions of each type as siblings). So we'd naturally be drawn to you. I also kinda like to joke that you ENFPs are the introvert whisperers. A lot of you seem to enjoy collecting us introverts as friends, lol!
And speaking of which... I think it would be kind of hilarious if Kristin made an "introvert whisperer" video where it's literally an ENFP or some other extrovert going around helping other extroverts learn how to take care of their introverted friends, lol
I always say "you need to calm down"to my ESTP friend. That was so accurate!! On a side note, I've never met another INFP in real life, but as the last clip displays, yes I would be very uncomfortable in that position. I mean they know what I'm doing lol.
Me, an INFP: *You won't be the only person who's uncomfortable, so we're just gonna pretend that the INFP part never existed and just bounce ideas off of each other quietly as we brainstorm together-*
An ESTP friend. As an INFP I have to ask where you encountered that in the field and how you survive it. My typical patterns seem to keep me well away from sports, bars, sales, and other places where that type gathers. 😆
@@nerysghemor5781 In my case it was through mutual interests. Years ago I was a guitar player looking for a band and he was a drummer. How to survive it is another story. We are almost opposites in every way possible. It always seems like hanging out with an alien, the way they see things is so straightforward and practical. Sometimes it's too much, sometimes you can learn something you didn't know. That happens too with my insights, he is (usually) willing to listen with an open mind, which is rare to find. Set boundaries when necessary and address what's wrong. If there is good will from both parties it usually goes well.
ENFP checking in, INFPs are the best. I just love their energy and always feel good around them (I hope they do too ajsnna). Although ENFPs are known for talking like waterfalls my one INFP friend and I like being quiet around each other so much that our ISFP friend complained about us not talking when we're hanging together lmfao
As an INTJ, is this what my female INFP friends really think of me? I kid of course, and the two female INFP friends I have are admittedly online friends (would an INTJ ever meet and befriend an INFP in real life? It’s possible, but probably unlikely due to both being introverts, the INTJ being focused on things other than making new friends, and the INFP maybe being too afraid to ever approach the INTJ). However, both seem to have an admiration for me (That’s not just my ego talking, although admittedly part of it is my ego), and I have been compared to movie characters that they seem to find attractive (the comparison was in terms of personality). Both seem to enjoy deep philosophical conversations, and hearing new ideas. They both are creative people who have shared ideas I had not previously thought of, on a variety of issues. Both could definitely use a bit of help in their lives, especially in regards to the uncertainty of their futures, and I am more than happy to share my wisdom and advice with them, as well as help in any ways I can. The two of them are two of three online friends I have had, that have lasted (the other being an INTP of course). They have been good friends, and the online format of communication seems to come naturally to them (although perhaps not as much as an INTP). I am 100% going to share this video with both of them!
I am an infp which is a friend of an intj😁 Not officially, but I feel it (its been 2 years already, but building trust is a slow steady work). But you're right that it would be surprising if it happens naturally. For us it started with us being put together in one of our classes because we didn't have a partner, but since then we are always together, fighting the tasks and achieving success as a great team. As the creative, optimistic and laid back most of the time, asking questions one, I admire how serious, devoted to good done work and humorous he is. Also "mysterious" and dark, of course. It's a pleasure to prove to him (and consequently to me😂) that world is a not that bad place. And I am learning from him how to be a good (people, task) manager, because he is doing it like a professional
I always go through this process watching your videos: I think,"This is funny and clever as always, but something's seems off... It's missing a touch of Kristin's usual chaotic hilarity. Why ever could that be? Oh, my gosh! Of course! The joke captions haven't been activated!" And then I rewind a minute, select the right captions, and things proceed smoothly from there. Also, as an artist, I'm very guilty of giving my characters unmanageable hair...
@@alanaglaser7695 the dominant function is actually NOT as prominent/potent as it is when in the auxiliary/parent function. INFP & INTPs also have an edge in terms of intuition since Ni us the critic function for them both.
Me as an INFP towards ENTJ: You guys say that you dislike unmotivated people, but you strangely feel drawn to talking to us INFPs, who are serious procrastinators, and seem to have a soft spot for us. I don't get what you see in us, but I'm flattered that we're somehow able to get you get all soft around us... Still... I'm really confused in what you see in us, lol! Edit: The same thing goes for our procrastinator, thinker cousins, the INTPs! You guys seem to have a soft spot for them as well! I can at least make sense of it cuz they're a knowledge bank that you know that you can utilize.
Well our concept of productivity doesn't necessarily mean "work". It's more about doing something interesting and always achieve something from it. We both see INFPs and INTPs as people with a lot of potential kinda wasting it and motivates us to bring that up and have long, deep discussions. We take your confused yet inspired thoughts and give them a proper form. I think the balance lays between our patience and your assertiveness, cause if you are not reactive enough we may get bored but if you can keep the pace it may be stimulating for both of us. Ps: could you please explain me the ENTJ sketch? I've not really got it tbh
I think that is how INFPs see ENTJs. Like an inconsistent person and mix of contradictions. My boss for example: a hardworker that can't wake up early. Always late but hates wating. Wants you to inform her of everything that happens at the office, but she never reads it. Social justice warrior, but she want you working on holidays (because she is working too) I always think she is about to fire me and then she tells me she is going to give me a raise. As an INFP I see her like that: "What are you? Why are you like this?" And I love her anyways. Hope it helped
@@feye903 kinda ahah. Btw yeah I'm like the laziest person alive, still a perfectionist. I'm a mix of pure god complexed ambition and total nihilistic apathy. You have no idea about what of a struggle that is lol.
@@francescogiacovelli8468 Hmm i can imagine ENTJs getting bored of INPs not accomplishing anything. Enneagram 9s specially gonna kill you. But as long as both sides are ready to meet in the middle and cooperate, it will be a benefit for them both. And i think the ENTJ sketch was INFP being surprised by Te dom/Fi inferior traits
Maybe it's because some of us would like to have someone help us with our weaknesses instead of exploiting them and because yes, deep down 😅😉, i love cute things and cute people...and if i like you enough, you will have yourself a sugar momma for a girlfriend. (Cause I'm definitely gonna be rich 💸) And thank God whoever that person is for me will never see this comment, because i cannot fathom to admit this to anyone irl (😱)
Lol right. I care about our relationship and don't want to hurt your feelings, so I'm going to tiptoe carefully through the fact that you're absolutely wrong.
I don't know what the INTP part was trying to imply. Like, are we in the 'pointless isle' because nobody needs us either, or are we there because we're interested in pointless things?
What I was going for here is that they are sifting through things that the INFP has no interest in or need for; the INFP is selective with what they explore based on their Fi, whereas Ti wants to search and refine everything!
Since the INTP was living under the beetroots and beetroots (at least where I live) are in the vegetable aisle and since the aisle is one that the INFP always walks by, I think it’s implying that the INFP is living a rather unhealthy lifestyle. And that says more about the INFP than about the INTP. Just my take though …
@@dearkristin What's kind of interesting is that, as an INFP, I never really saw INTPs as pointlessly gathering knowledge that nobody needs. Yes, I may be more selective in what I feel like gathering, but I admire an INTP's resilience in being able to collect all data, no matter the subject, just for the sake of knowledge. I wish I could be as knowledgeable as an INTP, but my passion for a subject is what determines what length I'll go into understanding it. My experience with INTPs is that we're strikingly similar. They're just the more logical side of us while we're them if they think primarily through feelings. We can can understand each other's viewpoint on things, but we use different methods to reach the same conclusion (Ti vs Fi). Ultimately, INTP and INFP tend to get along a lot cuz we tend to geek out on a lot of the same things and oddly seem to share a lot of hobbies that are considered niche.
@@GwenhwyfarArt in my experience as an INFP with INTPs, I think there is actually a tiny bit of what Kristin was going for here. But per what you're saying, it's not really what I notice myself caring about in regards to them. They're smart and interesting and I'll steer us to our common ground when possible for great conversation.
A relationship between two INFPs is more like we share ALL our cards and when it ends we both have our hearts broken because we both shared too much of us with each other. Another INFP is one of the only types that would deserve to hear my thoughts and feelings.
Love the ISTP one! To be honest, that exactly sums up how I feel about my ISTP friend. I feel so sad that they have trust issues, and I feel like they are missing out on a lot in life because of it. I wish to help them with it, but I don't want to be overbearing or pushy. I always deeply appreciate it when they do trust me with their inner thoughts or feelings, especially as it is so rare. The INTJ one was accurate, as well. Never met an INTJ irl (that I know of), but most of my fictional crushes are INTJs.
Speaking as one, I can sum up the ISTP's thoughts on the other personalities for everyone, to save time: "sigh, sigh, sigh, dramatic sigh, eyeroll, sigh, eyeroll, blank stare, sigh, eyeroll, sigh, are you an alien?, you're ok, you're ok, bro let's roll." (who can guess who the last 4 are?)
@@АндрейОливер-з2е almost! Infj is the 1st. I was married to one. I'm still convinced she was an alien LOL. and you're ok could be the ISTJ or INTP - I tend to get along and agree with them a lot LOL. I just changed it to 4 at the end bc u made me remember the ISTJ LOL
Thank you so much for doing this video! I'm thrilled! Haha my brother is an ISTP and that's accurate, I never know how he feels, he's so unemotional and very perplexing. My Mum is an ISFJ and she's an amazing listener, I can always vent to her
My brother is also an ISTP. Don't think too hard about what they're thinking because it's probably either literally nothing or they're solving an arbitrary problem lol. In my experience, ISTPs are not nearly as serious as they'd like you to believe.
Omigoodness!!! I love this so much! You really should continue this! I'd love to see the personality types through your eyes, Kristin! That would be so cool!
Infj,I have an infp who endlessly inspires me in life her an an istp have caused me to create an entire community for them just to be leaders in because they're so great, they're very happy and I do everything to protect and encourage them
1. I love the new series 😍 2. Actually the ISTPs I know are kinda talkative about their personal life in a way of a small talk 3. How come you're so productive in a single direction as an ESFP? 4. Greetings from INFP
my best friend is an isfj and i'm an infp, it all makes sense why we're compatible, she acts as a listener wanting me to open up more about myself and my innermost feelings 🤍
I was thinking the same. I find that many MBTI youtube creators don't really get our type. They usually make us look like a mystical ESFJ - which really doesn't capture it.
@@bluejay7805 We are social/talkative like ESFJ's, but generally not as chatty. We are truly obsessed with understanding people and find it easy to relate to them (or to emotionally manipulate them if we tap into our dark side). I like to say that the basic difference between ESFJ and ENFJ is: ESFJ = serves people ENFJ = understands people
@@cathyhart3946 I need to find an enfj and see if they understand me lol seems most people take things I do and say completely wrong. 99.9% of the time I have nothing but good intentions but people don't care why I do things and twist everything. I can't seem to relax anymore. 🤷🏻♂️ -infj
My two closest friends are an enfj and esfj and I dont personally perceive either of them in that fashion (Granted, they easily could have been mismatched from the one time I casually asked them if they'd take the mbti test) The enfj to me seems to have a very strong sense of who she is and what she wants in life (something I admire greatly) The esfj will go into deeper topics but that might just be because I'll bring it into conversation and she's just learned to go with it even if shes not personally intrested, granted she doesnt particularly deep into it but I've never pushed for more But more so than anything else is that shes my emotional support, she's willing to listen to what I have to say and that perception of her trumps just about any other way I could see our friendship Anyways, that's just my experience with it Take it for what you will, I think that since they are some of the very very few people I've let into my innermost life, that my perception of them is likely to differ from the usual
I was about to write the EXACT same as a Fe dom. I adore Kristin but I couldn't understand this at all. And my feedback from INFPs is finally someone who wants to talk to them and understands humans and talks about feelings. And in most literature I have read Fes understand themselves deeply. We just are ridiculously invested in others. And that ESFJs are just interested in flowers and cake is just tiresome. I know I know this was how INFPs see us, but that is not either my experience either. The self development aspect of ENFJs makes them one of the most self improving types. Thank you so much!
3:11 yep that is the INFP & INFP dynamic. nice but awkward and directionless until an extrovert comes along bcus neither of us are opening up until then
Another knockout, I like these ones! I spend time thinking about how others see myself and people they interact with and match it against my own observations. Fun to see where that lines up with what you portray in your videos! Oh how I’m waiting for the day you do one of these from the ENTP perspective, that will be an absolute blast lol! ~ENTP
I’m an INFP who has three INFJ family members and let me just say you got our view of INFJs right on!!! How do I get them to stop apologizing? Is there an ‘off’ button? Also, why do they always apologize about things I don’t care about and never apologize about things I do??
So, does an INTJ still count as the INFP's ideal type despite being real? Or is it just the idea of us they're attracted to. Because dealing with dark, broody, mysterious and smart daily isn't exactly a walk in the park.
joke answer: of course it's just the idea, what did you expect from a Se blind? real answer: I never dated an INFP however based on my experiences with INFP friends as well as reading others talk about their experiences with this combination I'd say it's legit
They seem pretty cheerful adjectives to me. Believe me, we aren't a walk in the park neither, it's familiar territory. Extroverts are usually the scariest ones, the happier, the worse lol.
Also... I just figured out the difference between artistic and creative: INFPs and ENFPs are more creative, while INFJs are more artistic. Creative is a bit more of making something out of nothing, something original, maybe quite crazy but then refined into something substantial at the end of the process. Artistic is taking something already existing and presenting it in a different way, which can be original, but the idea was inspired by something. Sometimes part of the original thing was undone and unraveled to put a new spin on it.
The perk of being an ENFP is the certainty that you will always be the most original person in the room.... The downside is your inability to make yourself understood and the INFP and INFJ next to you are too introverted to let you know that they get you.

Loved the ISTP one.. while the INFP is seeing a broken, silent, sad person, here I am trying to calculate what is the most cost-effective option: Trying to survive the day with no milk or stopping being lazy and go out to buy it.
Or you could do what I do, order it online and have it delivered. [INTJ here]
@@edennis8578 I think that she is talking about the tendence to minimize lost, instead of going out to the world to gather resources, something that INTPs (my type) also do =(

It would be funnier... But I did read
If by "she" you mean me, not Kristy, no, I am really just talking about milk. Having no milk is a big problem
INTP: "Ahh, finally someone who sees where all these possibilities are going, and the problems they'll cause... What do you mean, you're 'trying to figure out how you FEEL about them?'"
Ah, sure, whatever, I can dedicate some time to develop my inferior Fe whilst I’m here.

INTJ: Ouch. I do write fanfiction. And yes, with broody characters. (That said, the one I am writing right now I am pretty sure is a dark INFP.)
ESTJ: "Not as disappointed as your parents are..." Yeah, my mom is an ESTJ. And when I don't clean stuff, or I'm lazy, it pushes her buttons so badly.
ESFP: Nope. NOPE. NOPE. First off, I don't drink, and second, the second I hear "bar" or "club," although I will try not to be rude about it, I'm not going. ;-)
INTP: There's this guy who works at my local bookstore/cafe that I think is an INTP. The amount of sheer social awkwardness that oozes off of him is amazing. I may be awkward in my own ways, but this is seriously like a shy version of Data trying to emulate the human OS. That said, online especially, I have great chats with INTPs because we tend to like a lot of similar science and geek topics. :-)
ESTP: The ones I've met don't have a "stop" button.
XD
ENFJ: Unfortunately haven't known a lot of healthy ones, but when I see healthy Fe-doms I do tend to worry about them, that they will extend themselves too far.
I'm not equipped to do it or reliably detect it, and it's dishonorable.)
ENTP: Yeah, you're smooth, but random trolling and upsetting people on purpose (which, if you have Fe especially, you know you're having that effect) doesn't actually effect any useful change or bring anyone around to your position. But I actually do like that I can say what I want and hash those things out without it causing offense.)
ENFP: Fun!!! :-D Though I don't think I'm the most original person, especially given what I enjoy writing the most (see entry for "fan fiction"), plus I tend to think that there's really nothing new under the sun...we just arrange the pieces differently. ;-)
INFJ: Seriously, I talk about things in the abstract (or draw from my own experience, good or bad) to AVOID personal offense.
@@emilys3638 I’m not sure how I missed this comment, but I just wanted to say that is really sweet of you. 🥰
That moment when you realize you watched so many of Kristins videos that you know the type immediatly because of the clothes and accessoires 😂
I'm starting to pick up on it too and I am someone who doesn't normally remember stuff like that 😅
I agree, but INTP could generally look a little more homeless.
I'M TELLING YOU
As an ENTP, it is an interesting concept, how we are perceived by INFPs.
Oh I love this. As an entp how did people describe you as a kid?
-an INFP
Btw I also pretended a lot that my stuffed animals were alive HAHA they were like my children to me xD ah and very interesting analysis!
Finally an explanation of the ENTJ part. Thank you kind INFP. -ENTJ
INFP here dated an ENTJ once and she’s lovely. We have great conversations, but I would never want to get on the wrong side of her at work.

noooo not the ENFP identity crisis. it’s like… they’re like me but…. happy? positive? it’s no fair.

I always feel bad when I say I have to go 😔
~Self proclaimed INFP
Don’t feel bad! When ENFP’s like hanging out with someone, we tend to drag out the time for as long as humanly possible. For example, staying to clean up after a party, being the last one awake at a sleep over, prolonging a date by suggesting coffee, etc.
Omg I was the FIRST one asleep at the party and I would be gone by 9! 😂
A surprisingly habitual ENFP
What's your MBTI type? :O Just trying to get a little insight on the perspective I'm gathering here.

Ps: could you please explain me the ENTJ sketch? I've not really got it tbh

(Cause I'm definitely gonna be rich 💸)
And thank God whoever that person is for me will never see this comment, because i cannot fathom to admit this to anyone irl (😱)
My sister is an INFP and my grandma is an ESFJ and that interaction was spot on for them!
As an Infp I have to say this is pretty correct. I especially liked the Isfp the very polite argument sounds exactly like me even with fellow Infps.
What Ironheart said. -Infp xD
You will really have a problem when you arrive to the ISTP in this "Through the Eyes" series.
👍🤯
It will be a RUclips shorts

It’s not difficult at all to know what an ISTP thinks; just ask him/her. They answer direct questions if they like you. (ISTP)
@@АндрейОливер-з2е oh, for sure! 👏👏
This "Through the Eyes of" series is amazing! Please keep it up!
My fiance and I are both INFPs and this is TOO REAL. We have a lot of fun together, but conflict avoidance is a THING we're working on
A relationship between two INFPs is more like we share ALL our cards and when it ends we both have our hearts broken because we both shared too much of us with each other.
Another INFP is one of the only types that would deserve to hear my thoughts and feelings.
Patiently waiting for the ESFP episode. ;)
Finally ISTJ can speak more than 3 or 4 words! And yes, as an ISTJ I can confirm that I make evaluation of the person by their cleaning skills.
I know....I know....
The INFP: always creating an idealized version of others who are destined to be soulmates with an imaginary version of themselves.
INFP's are so nice. If only they'd stop stubbornly believing things that don't make any sense, they'd be my favorite type.
@@АндрейОливер-з2е WAS married, long divorced LOL.
My father is an INFP and I am an ISTP... now I really know how he sees me, thanks
The INFJ still feeling bad about stealing someone's crayons as a little kid is scarily close to my own experience. Spot on, I guess!
WHY ARE YOU SO UNDERRATED your channel portrays mbti in the most accurate way according to me .i love your vids💚
Thank you so much for doing this video! I'm thrilled! Haha my brother is an ISTP and that's accurate, I never know how he feels, he's so unemotional and very perplexing. My Mum is an ISFJ and she's an amazing listener, I can always vent to her
Haha yeah I have an ISTP friend who's about as readable as a brick wall. I can never tell what he's thinking.
There are maaaaany INFP artists, although ENFPs are really funny, I think that they have another kind of creativity
@@Catralasarguido You're right! I'm more poetic and artisticly creative, he's more spontaneous and witty with his creative humor.
My brother is also an ISTP. Don't think too hard about what they're thinking because it's probably either literally nothing or they're solving an arbitrary problem lol. In my experience, ISTPs are not nearly as serious as they'd like you to believe.

Dear lovely INFP friends: STOP PROJECTING ONTO ME -Love, ISTP
Infj,I have an infp who endlessly inspires me in life her an an istp have caused me to create an entire community for them just to be leaders in because they're so great, they're very happy and I do everything to protect and encourage them
Pretty sure my mother's an ISTJ and you absolutely nailed it. Well done! :)
Omfg this is accurate and I’m an infp. That’s exactly how I see intjs , enfps, isfjs , esfjs, enfjs and Infps!
Apparently, I am quite sexy in the eyes of an INFP. I need to find more INFPs to hang out with. - INTJ
1. I love the new series 😍
2. Actually the ISTPs I know are kinda talkative about their personal life in a way of a small talk
3. How come you're so productive in a single direction as an ESFP?
4. Greetings from INFP
my best friend is an isfj and i'm an infp, it all makes sense why we're compatible, she acts as a listener wanting me to open up more about myself and my innermost feelings 🤍
I’m pretty sure I dated an INFP for a year or so. We did not communicate well. I guess I was too busy shopping in that aisle she always skipped.
Man... I love ISFJ's, and I want to listen to them, but I just don't know how to ask good Fe questions! Thanks for calling me out in the subtitles...
Please do ENFJ at some point, I'd love to see how accurate you are with it.
I was thinking the same. I find that many MBTI youtube creators don't really get our type. They usually make us look like a mystical ESFJ - which really doesn't capture it.
@@cathyhart3946 I like esfj and enfj types but having spent my whole life around am esfj I am definitely more curious about enfjs
@@bluejay7805 We are social/talkative like ESFJ's, but generally not as chatty. We are truly obsessed with understanding people and find it easy to relate to them (or to emotionally manipulate them if we tap into our dark side).
I like to say that the basic difference between ESFJ and ENFJ is:
ESFJ = serves people
ENFJ = understands people
@@cathyhart3946 I need to find an enfj and see if they understand me lol seems most people take things I do and say completely wrong. 99.9% of the time I have nothing but good intentions but people don't care why I do things and twist everything. I can't seem to relax anymore. 🤷🏻♂️
-infj
I don't know If you saw the new video about ENFJ. Was it accurate?
This format is amazing.
My two closest friends are an enfj and esfj and I dont personally perceive either of them in that fashion
(Granted, they easily could have been mismatched from the one time I casually asked them if they'd take the mbti test)
The enfj to me seems to have a very strong sense of who she is and what she wants in life (something I admire greatly)
The esfj will go into deeper topics but that might just be because I'll bring it into conversation and she's just learned to go with it even if shes not personally intrested, granted she doesnt particularly deep into it but I've never pushed for more
But more so than anything else is that shes my emotional support, she's willing to listen to what I have to say and that perception of her trumps just about any other way I could see our friendship
Anyways, that's just my experience with it
Take it for what you will, I think that since they are some of the very very few people I've let into my innermost life, that my perception of them is likely to differ from the usual
~ENTP
Showed this to my ISTP bestie, we DIED. Please make a vid for 16 Personalities Through the Eyes of the INFJ !💜✨
Perfect. Genius. Brilliant. Everything I could have hoped for.
Loving these '...through the eyes...' vidoes! Looking forward to ISTP :-)
I’m pretty sure the ISTP didn’t say any of that and the INFP is just daydreaming
"...and everyone knows that I utilise household chores as a means of distracting myself from my inner turmoil"
OOF!
I'm just waiting for the ISTP video and its just labeling people as one word adjectives and moving on lmao.
edit: And yes I love milk.
LOL
Get ready for an argument, a very polite argument.
Truer words were never spoken
Shoutout to INFPs for being the only ones who understand the INFJ's needless mental anguish. 🤣
“Self deprecation, Mental anguish, Profound and artistic” is how my mum described INFJs once
Got me laughing so hard and I wrote it down
I’m an INFJ 🥲
@@skywalker6763 all are true. That's how my ENFP brother and best friend INFP describe me with an addition of, pleasant.
