I got the model with the folding legs and adapter hose included for like $99.00 at Wal-Mart about a year ago. The model with the folding legs is meant for portability because of the folding stand and the griddle is a seperate unit that can be used without the stand. The folding stand's legs do flare out for more stability. This model with the attached stand is meant more for home and the wheels and handle on the side is nice for rolling it around. They should of given a different name for this model though as it's meant more for home. I have the 17 inch griddle also that works on the stand. Only complaint is that the connection for the propane is on the same side of the griddle as the table which is dumb because the hose lays on the table or the portable propane bottle lays on it taking up space. I like the folding stand and the griddle as a seperate unit becasue I can store everything more efficiently and I can just use the griddle without the stand if I want.
I don't have a Blackstone but I did buy an antiquate cast-iron cook top to put on my gas or wood smoker and love it. For what you paid for that, the cast-iron plate will probably last longer than the rest of it. Heck, if you get 6 or 8 years out of it, that's great. I have always had problems with the assembly process. When the instructions state 30 minutes, I add another 90 minutes to it. LOL
The lid is so you can cook on really windy days without the wind cooling you’re cooking surface as the food does that enough. The cheese melter is a great addition
I got this 22" with the folding legs and 20-lb hose included, $185 at walmart. not $100 but still a good deal. It came assembled, just had to attach the hood handle. It eorks great, can use it as a tabletop griddle too. picked up a carry bag for it (fits just the griddle/hood, easier to carry the table separately) that doubles as a perfect cover. My twin eagles grill is gonna get lonely....
I had to buy three before getting one that was not damaged. Returned the other two. Wow only $99! I got the tabletop version #1891 from Walmart for $174 which is still a great value. The hood is not meant to be airtight.
I snatched one of these up when I noticed them, I was waiting to get the portable 22" with stand at a better price but this was just to good to pass up. Now if I could get a day off to put it together and hit the beach LOL I want an adapter to run the little propane tanks when I bring out to the beach.
Yes you’re right I’ve noticed other versions of the 22” with a foldable stand on RUclips. This one isn’t foldable so transport will be an issue if that’s what you’re planning to do with it. In my case it’s being used only in my patio, so it works out for me. I should have mentioned this in my video. In any case I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! Its a great griddle at that price point!
Yea just keep your eyes peeled my Walmart showed out of stock online but when I went to the actual store they had 4 left. Grabbed it ASAP!! Lol. Good luck!
Hey Man! I got the same one from Walmart for their black friday sale. Upon opening and installing, i noticed many scratches on the inside of the cover. Not only that, there are some paint chips with rust already on. Installation was difficult since almost all bolts didnt line up, especially for the legs and side shelf. Not bad IMO tho, but I do wish the legs folded in to make this griddle portable.
Wow that’s a real bummer. Mine did have some spots of rust on the griddle portion but after seasoning those got taken care of. I didn’t have anything in terms of scratches or rust in other areas, since it was packaged very thoroughly. Maybe try calling Walmart and explain the situation I hope they help you out!
@@CookwithRon im going to contact blackstone directly. I have a pitboss XL and even that installation went very smoothly. The quality control for the blackstone isnt that good.
DUDE what in the ever-loving hell has happened?!?! These are now $250 before tax......... I had no choice but to spend it though because I couldn't wait for a random sale to happen sometime in the future...... Damn man. If I'm being honest it's worth every penny for the quality and use I get out of it, but still.......
Yes it’s very simple to take off the stand and use as a table top griddle. However this one I got doesn’t have the foldable legs so it’s not as portable as the other 22” adventure ready that Blackstone makes.
@@CookwithRon The price of the one with foldable table at Walmart online is $174 and this one is $99 at Walmart. You can get the $99 one and get a metal folding camping table at Lowes for $70+-, etc.
That’s true that would also be more versatile than just having a unit with foldable legs. But it also would mean two separate items to bring along instead of one integrated unit. I guess it depends on your situation. In my case this is staying on my deck so foldable legs wasn’t needed.
I have the 22" with the folding legs but I'd rather have the one with wheels because I dont take it anywhere, I only use it at home. Where can I order the stand with wheels
Hey there! I have a feeling prices on practically everything is going up. Its your call, but with Black Friday right around the corner there might be some specials coming. I will say though, $117 is not a rip off, you’ll be happy with it!
Uh dude, this exact same model is now $250. If you find it for less than that you found a really good sale...... They did update some things on it that are nice but it's still basically the same thing.......

Yes absolutely, same principle applies, happy cooking!
I bought it also from Wal-Mart, haven't assembled it yet since I got it for the boat. I'm sure that you will love it, I use my other two all the time.
Yes, I’ve used it a couple times and so far it’s been great. Cleanup is super easy too!

Thanks for the video. Does the legs fold up for travel? Wished you showed the assembly.
It doesn’t fold up but they do have another model that does. I think it’s a bit more expensive though. Good luck!

Can you take take the griddle off the stand easily and use it as a table top griddle? Is it easy to put in an SUV and use it on a road trip? Thanks,

So worth it. How you enjoying it?
Will a 1 pound 16 oz tank work on this? Or only 20 pound?
You’ll need an adapter since the current configuration only fits the 20lb tanks.
Is it made in Mexico; or China?
