Vocês já repararam que as críticas mais duras e com uma entonação mais parecida com de "fariseus" são as dos brasileiros? Eu estudei 1 ano no College da Hillsong e vi a Brooke ministrar várias vezes. Essa mulher é séria, busca a Deus mesmo! As ministrações dela foram cheias de unção. Ela tem feito um excelente trabalho e o intuito é poder falar uma linguagem que as pessoas de fora da igreja entendam. Vamos parar de criticar e orar mais sabe?! Vamos ler mais a Bíblia e buscar o que Deus tem para nós. Quem sabe um dia estaremos fazendo mais e falando menos. Assim como ela tem feito... Deus abençoe!

Verdade Joseph! A igreja tem perdido muito tempo julgando, principalmente a brasileira, enquanto tem muitos perdidos, famintos e clamando por adoção. Fico feliz quando alguém tem ousadia pra se levantar e querer alcançar esses que não entendem nada das letras que cantamos dentro da igreja... Até porque na maioria das vezes não conseguem ver o que cantamos nas nossas vidas...
Engraçado certos comentários. Quando leio a escritura não vejo ninguém querendo ter uma "linguagem que as pessoas de fora da igreja entendam" mas nós precisamos moldar as verdades bíblicas ou disfarçá-las pq o espirito santo que é quem convence, sozinho e sendo direto, não tem capacidade pra nos dias de hoje convencer ninguém. Aí nós com toda a inteligência que temos sacamos o que o Espirito Santo não sacou ou seja, não seja direto, seja subjetivo porque ser direto é ser um cristão idiota quadrado. E como somos mais espertos que Ele, damos uma força sendo subjetivos naquilo que nos propomos a fazer. Não me espanta isso tudo..a biblia já alertava pra gente assim..e que venha mesmo o fim..

Como voce pode ter visto no meu comentário, já vi a Brooke Fraser ministrar e ela é uma mulher ungida. Nós não precisamos fazer isso ou aquilo para o Espírito Santo nos usar, mas Ele nos direciona. Se todos nós fossemos chamados para fazermos as mesmas coisas, cantarmos os mesmos tipos de música, aonde está o corpo de Cristo? Cuidado ao julgá-la pois como falei, ela é muito usada por Deus e é realmente uma serva. Pegando o seu gancho em relação as escrituras... Eu sou ministro de louvor a muito tempo e sempre estudei muito sobre louvor... Se você for ver os salmos de David (a maior referência que temos de adorador na Bíblia) é muuuuito diferente do que cantamos nas igrejas. Sabe por que? Ele falava o que estava no coração, ele cantava verdades, ele rasgava o coração diante de Deus e falava sobre situações do dia a dia, mostrava sua vulnerabilidade diante das situações e dependência de Deus. Por isso ele era chamado de homem segundo o coração de Deus. Você vê isso na maioria nas músicas que cantamos nas igrejas? O mundo não entende uma palavra do que cantamos... Os jargões que usamos durante muito tempo só faz afastar o mundo. Abrimos nossas bocas para dizermos que somos santos e não nos "misturamos" com o "mundo". Pelo menos aparentemente, quando todos estão olhando. Muito diferente de Jesus que falava uma linguagem acessível as pessoas. Que veio pelos doentes, que jantava na casa dos "traidores" cobradores para resgatá-los. Entenda que quando falo isso tudo eu me incluo. Acredito que a igreja de um modo geral precisa despertar e parar de perder tempo com o que não acrescenta em nada. Parar de criticar, de falar mal de quem tem sido usado por Deus de formas diferentes...

I just love the biblical undertones of this song - The truth that we are KINGS AND QUEENS in Christ is not a dream but a present reality that we will enjoy in its fullness at the resurrection of the dead. At that point, we will sit on thrones alongside our Savior and enjoy by grace what is His by right. Until then, we are to reign over our sinful passions, bringing our minds, wills, and affections into submission to Jesus by the power of the Spirit through His Word.

It’s just a different way of evangelizing enough to spark the curiosity of a lost soul before they close their doors by hearing such a name before they even know what the name is about, before they know it they are smack dab in the middle of Such a great name Jesus and it all started with a song.

Brooke's music before joining Hillsong was played on Christian radio in NZ, if you listen to her early music you will hear the Christian undertones
@@stacim8748some was on mainstream too. A couple of her most well known songs in NZ were everywhere in the 2000s - c4, juice, top 40 countdown, pop radio stations. The music videos were engrained in my brain because I saw them so often on tv back when there used to be a music channel.

This song is straight up my jam. Me and my friends saw her live in San Francisco (I'm pretty good about seeing Brooke in concert whenever she's in town) and this is the first concert where we actually danced. I love this new groove. She even did remixes of her old songs and it was amazeballs. I definitely support her experimenting with new sounds and growing as an artist.
I just feel like, as humans, we're constantly growing and changing in our lifetime, so why do we expect artists not to grow and change as well?

Brooke has proven she can see most any thing now. Finally in my opinion Brooke has found the type of music that will put her name on the charts if that is what she wants. I know I would love to see her make it to the top and as gifted & talented she is it should not be long. I love most all of her music but this song in my opinion really rocks my world - very nice.
It's amazing how she's well known in her hometown, but is practically unknown at an international level. Should definitely spread the word about her. She's amazing since her Hillsong days and before that.

She's not as well known at an international level as much as other celebrities such as Lady Gaga or Britney Spears. Her talent has been subtle. Look at the charts, Billboard and international ones. International artists top the charts, that's how you measure an artists popularity.
C-los M well... I agree with you that she`s not as well known as the singers you pointed. But what I tried to show you is that she`s also not "practically unknown at an international level" as you said before.
Not very many people know her outside of her country. Some do, but it's not a significant # as to classify her as a known artist. She's known where I live within the Christian community because of her collaboration with Hillsong. And then there are those curious Christians who look up her individual work and discover her that way. That's how I found her, otherwise, it's hard because she's not being promoted enough. Domestically, she tops the charts and receives significant amount of success.

Why can't we just be real sometimes as christains. The Bible is full of real people with real issues with a real God, so why can't we also sing about what affects us as Humans as well? Love, war, hunger, beauty, laughter, tears, death? Her music honours God in every way.

Brooke Fraser is truly an amazing artist with a unique sound that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I keep looking for similar artists (because I'm obsessed with her work) but can never really seem to find any that measure up to her sound and soulful lyrics. I love Brooke's music, from "Arithmetic" to this song right here. I simply cannot get enough!

I enjoy Fraser as a worshiper. I think she should concentrate her talent on her ministry; it's her spiritual songs that has eternal value. She should realize that the 'world' would promote her secular music more because it doesn't project Jesus, but she is anointed and gifted by God, so she should dedicate music entirely to kingdom stuff. I love her.
Olakunle Oyawale the birds were created by God but do you here "Jesus" when they sing yet their sound is beautiful in God's ear. We have a relationship with God as well as other humans. We minister to both. We worship God but people also deal with issues, the Bible is full of human drama so why can't we sing about those things as well. And who better to sing to humans if not a child of God who can also identify. We worship God and also help humanity. Don't forget as humans we need entertainment as well, why not from a christain with pure lyrics that I can dance to?
