I think the last two ones are specially important. Many games don't know how to balance the difficulty, and as many don't give you reasons to come back and play it.
The reward discussion makes me think of the Great Cave Offensive in Kirby Super Star. The main point of that is collecting stuff and seeing what you find, with a longer end scene being the main reward. If you don't feel like bothering, though, you can just skip ahead, only really having to engage with the bosses, and finish the game relatively quickly. It's kind of interesting just how wildly playtime can vary based solely on how motivated you are to collect a bunch of different icons (I try to go for 100%).
Always great to see more videos rereleased in a compilation form. Makes it easier for me to catch up on a lot of videos I’ve missed out on.

Balancing difficulty is a nightmare, it's why playtesters are so important.
