I do the Ogryn bodyguard command squad tech, however I use tempestus command squads. For some reason they are regiment and are eligible for reinforcements compared to the regular command squad, plus since the bodyguard joins their starting strength he comes back with the command squad when reinforced. Yes they lose deep strike but I run them in a chimera usually. Surprisingly strong.
The Stormsword, for when you really want almost anything to cease to exist. Since day one, the fluff for them was awesome, it's only right that they do what they do now. If only we could target terrain with the Siege Cannon. I may be slightly biased, I only have 3..
I run Ogryn Bodyguards with Command squads to great effect... however your man here has the rules wrong! Platoon Command squads aren't regiment, so can't order themselves, plus only have 5+ base sv. What's better, for only 10pts more is a Scion Command Squad!! 4+ base sv and can self order...can also use reinforcements on them and because the character isn't attached you can bring everything back! I've won an RTT with them, got a GT this month.
Aw darn you’re totally right, my team was originally planning it with the regiment unit attached that we completely missed that it loses regiment when you take out the bodyguard. Sadly as it currently stands 3x scion command squad is mandatory imo, it’s both way too much fun for me and it’s really strong, so I probably won’t give them a shot, but let me know if it goes well for you, I really like the idea!
@@Mike-gx1dw yeah the Scion bomb is pretty awesome, though the few times I ran it they totally whiffed. I just love Ogryns and the army is melee assault guard so the bodyguards fit well.
So many of these videos feature players who go their own way and succeed and it is so great. Even with just an index people keep finding gold.
That Marbo tech is amazing hahaha
seriously....loved that!

So you're running just a 5 man command squad by themselves unattached to a unit? Doesn't really seem worth using reinforcements on imo
