Hey Melissa! Just FYI epson does not have the upgrade, but swing design does. They said you have to get the upgrade from a dealer and not epson directly.
I tried this method out however mine did not print the white ink on the back of the design. is there something additional that needs to be done for that to happen?
Hi! Also, at about minute 4:30 you say to make reduce white area to 3, but in your video you select 1. Is that by accident? I'm assuming you meant to put 3 instead of 1? Just checking. These are the best videos, I am so grateful for you!
Do you love this printer? Im new to DTG but this is awesome it does both so im really wanting it . Its just a big price tag and would love to hear reviews but cant find many
This is by far my favorite DTF printer and I have 5. It's easy to use, easy to maintain, can do both DTF and DTG and works on both mac and PC. If you are looking for a versatile all in one t shirt printer this is the way to go. I have more info here: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2023/04/dtf-and-dtg-printer-in-one-epson-f2100.html
Since you're using Celsius for the oven temperature I was assuming you'd use that for the heat press as well. But 320 Celsius is very hot so I think you're using Fahrenheit there?
I"m not sure what you're referring to. When I cure DTF prints I do 120 C for 120 seconds. I use "C" in this case b/c it's easier for me to remember 120 for both :)
So what does the transfer feel like once it’s pressed on the shirt? In the video it looks similar to the texture of HTV. Would you say that’s true, or is it lighter? Stretchier?
It has a hand for sure so it's not like HTV but you reduce the thickness with less white and by pressing how you press. Also don't forget this printer can also print direct to garment - even on black - so there's even less hand with that.
thanks. Who is your supplier because the kodak paper I found is matt finish front and back and also says must use DTF ink. I have the Epson F2100 we use with DTG but would like to also do DTF@@SilhouetteSchool
Epson f2100 doesnt have preheater so thats why the ink is still wet when it came out of the printer. curing the prints should be slow or it might cause under curing issues leading to color missing on the shirt when pressed. those air filers that shes using isnt the greatest. direct exhaust to the outside is the best. dont breathe that stuff in. she has a dtf Prestige A4 printer in the background, using an i3200 print head. those has a preheater but you cant easily clean under the print head to keep it from clogging.

Might be a daft question, but do you have to change ink type from epson dtg to a DTF ink ?
No it's the same ink

When you say reduce white area to 3, you set it to 1.
Which is it I need to do?
I was wondering the same!

what powder are you using with the kodak film or does it matter?
I'm using Kodak powder

question, in Garmet Creator I don't appear to have the Ink Order in settings, everything else but that?
Did you install the DTF extension?

I think they removed it
i just got my machine @@SilhouetteSchool
@@SilhouetteSchool What is the name of the extension and what is is under
