I've always loved their alternative, demo version of this song from their album Pygmalion. It's also become one of my fiance's favorite songs, and in that, naturally I wanted to give it a try. I was also able to bring my TR606 back to life, and this type of song certainly calls for drums to be involved. I hadn't used it or needed to use it since my minimal synth days, and I'm glad it's rejoined my equipment in the land of the living.

Lovely cover man! Do you recommend any pedals/tips for getting that nice echo for the intro riff?

Thanks! I use an MXR carbon copy on the drum machine for slapback, and the riff I use a Mr. Black Tapex. I assume most tape emulators will give you the option to control the repeating level, which obviously here is a bit longer than normal. I usually use my actual tape echo (Roland RE501) but it's broken at the moment.
