- In this episode i am doing a Fx Impact ELR air gun discussion on my air gun setup for precision shooting and air gun hunting. I discuss my air gun setup on question that most new air gun competitive shooters and air gun hunting shooters ask. I showcase my air gun the Fx Impact Mk2 build for ELR shooting and air gun hunting. I am shooting the 40grain H&N heavy air gun hunting slugs in this air gun hunting episode. I am air gun hunting sportsman and i also do competitive air gun shooting for a career. My air gun hunting setups is the most important for me and in this episode i display the raw power an accuracy that it delivers with heavy air gun slugs. I love competitive precision shooting and air gun hunting and it is part of my lifestyle. I love to help air gun hunters and this is why i try to answer and guide as many people as what i can in this episode. The Fx Impact is such a icon in the air gun hunting and competitive shooting platforms. The Fx Impact is by far the king of all air gun hunting airguns and my favorite air gun of all time for precision shooting. I love to do air gun precision shooting with my Fx Impact across the world and it is part of my career. As a hunter i love to teach other air gun hunting shooters the best i can when it comes to shooting skill and good hunting ethics. I want to set a good example to other air gun hunting and competitive shooters out there. In this latest Fx Impact ELR setup air gun video i showcase the accuracy and precision of my Fx Impact Mk2 with air gun H&N 40 grain heavy air gun hunting slugs. I work close with air gun manufacturer Fx Airguns on developing the Fx Impact and i work with HN Sports that has been developing fire arm bullets and air gun hunting ammo for over a 100 years now. My goal is to advance the sport of air gun hunting and competitive shooting and making this passion a reality for most out there that love air guns as much as what i do. I co-designed the H&N heavy slug air gun hunting slug range with HN Sports that is specifically designed to give you maximum accuracy and expansion in air gun hunting slug and to work with the Fx Impact. The T-slot design in the new developed hollow point is a first of its kind and unique for air gun hunting making sure it delivers a deadly punch with high end air gun accuracy from the Fx Impact. These air gun hunting slugs work best in the Fx Impact range and also in other leading air gun developing air guns out there. As a hunter i believe that is important to always help out those in need like farmers that struggle with big pest bird problems on farms. In this episode i do a air gun trajectory validation with my Fx Impact air gun on a private shooting range in South Africa. All the air gun shooting in this video was done safely and in a controlled environment on a shooting range. Precision Air gun like the Fx Impact is perfect for competitive shooting and air gun hunting. It saves a lot on cost on ammo and makes air gun hunting and competitive air gun shooting fun. I love videography and i love content creating for others. I combined this with my air gun hunting and competitive shooting adventures to give the best feeling to viewers watching my videos. That is correct and that is because of the spin of the slug. Pellets fly the opposite way. You can look into wind rosery

What is the difference between slug power kit and fx power block??
The kit is a pin probe, spacers, and softer valvespring.
The power block is only the valve lock at the back

Can someone let me know if the power block is worth the upgrade? I only shoot longish range target in .22 and .25. They are selling out real quick here in UK but don't want to waste my money if its no difference from the 720 plenum and standard block ive got. Any help would be massively appreciated

Great news hope your going to do something on 1.77 my m3 is always loosing accuracy i live in cyprus we are only allowed to shoot 1.77,on the M3 i have a 700mm barrel have the slug kit barrel tunner and carbon fibre sleeve i have the nexus scope on it it seems it glogs up very easily,i am shooting zan 16 graners shooting them at 1020 fps i have been told its too fast really looking forward to your content it always amazing and very educational wishing you a great success of your new chanel
Great shooting! And a very nice rifle & range setup. I want to mention that you can get into ELR (non competitively) with only entry level equipment and a little old school knowledge and practice.
To demonstrate this I’ve shot my entry level .177 AV Avenger out to 200 yards using resized NSA 12.5 grn slugs. I shimmed the rear of my optic using index card stock to add usable elevation adjustment to my optic. This is the “old school” way to add MOA onto your rifle/optic setup.
Just don’t torque the rings too tight or you can damage the tube.
I’m pushing the 12.5’s to 975 fps (26 fpe) and the rifle prints about 1.5” at 100. Think golfball size groups.
The rifle groups well enough at 200 yds to get multiple hits on water bottles and I’ve even got multiple hits on targets the size of a pill bottle. I’m not trying to say the little Avenger is a ELR contender but it is capable of making repeatable hits. The point here is if long range shooting interests you, you don’t have to wait to get a “bench rest” quality rifle to start. The practice & the experience you get will certainly improve your skill sets as a shooter. The truth in shooting is that practice might be the best mod you can make to your shooting platform.
Again, you don’t have to have the best equipment to start having fun! Cheers!

Looking forward to more tuning. I'm getting ready to order an Impact and am interested in it. I know you guys can only shoot up to .22, but it would be great if you could also talk about .25 when tuning if there is some differences. Cool channel!

I think it is safe to say even if the group is better without the suppressor and you need it. You could probably tune the FX to tweak the node and anti-node to a different spot. I'm just making comments. No one goes back to review and refresh.

I have .22 with superior liner using H&N 30 gr i need more energy i was thinking if there's a big difference and if it's worth to change barrel kit to .25 or just change to superior heavy liner in .22 and shoot H&N 40 gr

Sorry but I won't advise shooting bigger animal's like that with a slug that weight or caliber.

By the time the slug makes it out to 300 yards how many fpe does it have? Plate looks like it's hardly moving.

Very expensive investment foresure. I geuss about 2.5k plus. But if you are serious about shooting and you are blessed enough to afford it then I will be happy for anyone to own it. 👌🏻

I have a request. I have an fx Maverick, can you please do a high power tune on the Maverick? Also, I would like to buy the new 800mm barrel, but I don't know how I'm going to tention the barrel as the kits is only for the impact. Any advice?
Tricky one there. Currently there is no tension kits for the Mavericks as far as I know and to tension the barrel on it will be tricky. I am a fan of a free float barrel and that is my believes. Always found the accuracy for me to be better that way. I will definitely look into a tuning vid for ya.

Whats the FX power block do and is it worth the upgrade or is it abit of marketing from FX? I ask as I was looking at buying the upgraded 720 plenum with power block but I see you not using it. How much extra will the power block give?
